Cedar Key house description
Charming waterfront cottage, in well established residential neighborhood. One story, ground level, with many interior delights. Recently renovated, with new tile floors in living areas, carpet in bedrooms. French doors open to the back yard with stunning views to the north and just steps to the boat dock and covered boat slip. Rock fireplace.
Bonus room has GREAT views, use it as a second living room or bring air mattresses and let the kids have a 'camp out'. Split plan-master bedroom in 'main house' and 2 guest BRs with bath in separate 'wing'
Waterside wall of great room entices you with stunning Gulf views. Just minutes from main channel and when you come home with the boatload of fish, the covered dock with fish cleaning area makes it a snap.
Perfect for the family, this home sleeps six easily. Just minutes to Cedar Key State Museum, a short bike ride to Cedar Key's newest nature walk, Cemetery Point, or a golf cart ride to downtown shops and dining. We now have wireless DSL so you can leave the world behind but still stay in touch.
Cedar Key is 'Real Florida'. With natural waterways, great seafood, no high rises, no traffic jams-except when the locals stop in the street to exchange news and greetings-we invite you to join us for a weekend, week or month.
Come for the kayaking, canoeing, nature walks and bird watching. Ride a golf cart, a bicycle, or walk anywhere in Cedar Key, we are 'slower paced' friendly. Need to get away but can't leave it all behind? We offer wireless DSL in the house.
Boat rentals, kayak rentals, bike rentals and guided boat tours are available in Cedar Key. Please visit the Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce for a directory of local businesses and services. The Cedar Key Historical Society has a museum and a walking tour, and the St. Clair Whitman Museum is operated by the State of Florida.
The Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge is a scant 15 miles, with hiking, hunting, fishing, and a 'drive by car' tour. Cedar Key State Preserve, 6 miles east of Cedar Key, on SR 24, offers bicycling, nature and horse trails and picnicking.
Other units are available. Let us help you with larger groups, including a rental hall or meeting room. With enough notice, we can arrange boat tours, fishing tours and catering; we want YOU to have a relaxing vacation.
Carport off bonus room makes a great spot to set up the grill for family fish frys!.

This property is beautiful and well maintained. Interiors are clean and tastefully furnished. As a guest you will find nature joining you in the bright airy kitchen. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet. All in all, renting this house was a great experience.

Manager response: Thank you SO much for the great review. We are happy you came to stay with us, and we sure hope you come back next year. I agree, it is a lovely spot and the deck makes for great wild life viewing. The French doors opening onto the deck sure do make the great room feel like you are "right in the thick of it".
R & R Location
R & R Location
"Beach Chic" was very nicely appointed, very clean and sits directly on the "Back Bayou". Good for lots of R&R with a great view fron your deck or back yard! Large grocery store hour drive away, so get groceries on way in, small store on Key. Lots of oyster beds and muck, just one very small beach at the marina, but Annie's Cafe and Sea Breeze Restaraunts were both good! Realtor was great to work with, couldn't ask for more cooperative and laid back person. No bed stripping or cleaning to do when you leave which is nice. Great for sport fishing or boating, but if you want activities or sites to see-plan on driving an hour plus!

Manager response: Arlene-It was wonderful having you and your family!! Please come back, you and your family are our "kind of people".
We had a wonderful stay at the house and were extremely pleased with the walking, biking paths around this location. Description was excellent and the property was extremely clean and well kept. Jean Pinto gave us the scoop on restaurants and the area's amenities. We do not recall all the names of the restaurants but there was not a bad one in the bunch. Not having access to so much fresh fish food up North, we really gorged and are not yet ready to step on the scales as yet. Would we recommend this property - YES !

About: This was my father's home. He is now gone, but his dream of Cedar Key lives on in his home. We visit when we can, and build our family memories here with our children and hopefully our grandchildren. Recently retired, we hope to spend more time here.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Cedar Key is a quiet laid back experience for the true nature lover. We enjoy parking the car, renting a golf cart and exploring the island afresh each visit. Ospreys call us, ibis watch us in the back yard, pelicans glide by our dock. We ride our bikes, walk, talk and enjoy each other's company again.
