Wonderful cabin! Excellent location with numerous activities close by to do. We loved the hummingbirds, the windows and the sound of the water. Clean as a whistle with everything you could possibly need. Perfect place for relaxation and outdoor adventures. The owner was readily available to assist us in everything we needed before and during our stay. We went fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, enjoyed the play at Sundance and the Olympic Park and Festivals in nearby Park City. We would recommend this cabin to everyone and hope to return ourselves in the future

Owner response: It is uplifting to read of guests positive experience staying at my cabin and enjoying all the Sundance Utah area has to offer. I'm sure it makes the hummingbirds happy to be appreciated, and fed, as well. For those who have stayed at the cabin and return you can look forward to some great improvements with a kitchen remodel completed, other refinements on the way. Suggestions to make your stay even better are invited. Thank you for enjoying my cabin and your kind review.
Beautiful place, a perfect place for family time and to explore the area. We loved all of the organic detergents, etc! And the yoga room was a perfect spot as well. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Owner response: It was hard leaving this cabin, as I love the mountains, love Sundance, love the cabin I built and had fine tuned over the years. But, things change, life goes on. It is wonderful to be able to share this special place with guests and families and to hear they had a good, relaxing time. I also really appreciate positive feedback the little things I feel are so important, such as protecting our environment by use of organic products. And thank you to all the guests who have been so cooperative and careful about recycling, avoiding water waste and this year, fire safety. Thank you to all the guests who come and stay and provide feedback.
Great escape in the mountains near Sundance.
Great escape in the mountains near Sundance.
First time experience with VRBO, and it was a great experience. The cabin is clean and well kept. We felt at home. Great fireplace and decks. View of Sundance was beautiful. Wood floors and tiles worked well for out pups, but our older pup had a bit of a time with the stairs. Owner was very timely in responding to inquiry and correspondence and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable.

Owner response: I really do appreciate the reviews provided by guests and hope they are helpful for future guests to determine if my cabin is right for your next mountain vacation. I hope that when potential future guests read the reviews they can get a better sense of the property, from the guest standpoint. I have to say, I really like it when a canine family stays and it works out for all. Sorry about the difficult wood stairs. For future guests with this difficulty maybe try entering through either upper or lower level, avoiding stairs? I will soon add "baby/dog" gate to block stairs, to be used as needed.
This was our first visit to Sundance and it couldn't have been better. The cabin was perfect, just what we had hoped for -- rustic, private, and scenic. Easy to get to, and close to hiking trails and Sundance resort. Owner was very responsive to inquiries prior to our stay, and we arrived to a cozy cabin that was perfectly prepared for our stay. Would love to be a return guest, and will definitely recommend to others. Thanks!

Owner response: Thank you for your 5 star review. I really appreciate the positive feedback and do indeed hope to make the cabin a "base camp" for a wonderful and memorable vacation. The Provo Canyon & Sundance Resort area has so many wonderful & varied activities to entertain, educate, thrill, challenge and calm most vacationers; I want the cabin to be my guest's mountain home while staying at Sundance.

Year Purchased: 1994
About the owner: Thinking about it.
Why the Owner Chose Sundance:
I had the Sundance cabin custom built in 1993-1994. I moved to Utah from Wisconsin, enticed to relocate to live in these mountains and be able to 'ski out my door'. I have done so since 1994. I have been a part time XC ski instructor at Sundance Nordic Center and have a full time plus job as a physician in Provo. My valley commitments and other responsibilities have prompted my move to Provo. I have loved living year round in this cabin and now hope others can enjoy this fantastic mountain property. My current household includes 2 cats & 3 'rescue' dogs, 2 are malamutes and 1 is part mal, part shep/lab. We enjoy skijoring on the Alpine Loop Hwy trails during winter months. I love this place: the quiet, solitude, beauty and wildlife which are part of the natural Sundance landscape. The attractions of the Sundance Resort with groomed XC trails, downhill skiing, local biking, hiking, restaurants, Sundance Film Festival all just add to the charm and attraction.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Summertime: hummingbird viewing and feeding, nearby mountain biking at Sundance resort, yoga/ meditation room doubles as extra bedroom, creek on property creates relaxing sounds to sleep & relax to, views are excellent Wintertime: downhill & XC ski resort
