This charming home is in the heart of the small downtown of Gearhart: The bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, boutique and grocery stores just a hundred feet away. The home is nested on a very private, fenced lot, up on a low hill and surrounded by tall hedges. There is lots of room for enjoying the outdoors, either on the patio or on the grass, by the fire-pit.
This charming four bedroom rambler in Gearhart is the perfect place for family or friends gatherings! The house features a large open kitchen and dining area just off of the open living room. The 3 bedrooms offer comfort and privacy to couples, while the children can have fun in the "bunk room" that has 3 bunk beds and sleeps 6. The bunk room has it's own bathroom and a separate entry way as well.
The living room has an inviting gas fireplace and cozy leather furniture to enjoy while you watch you favorite shows or movies on the cable TV with an entertainment center. There is also wireless internet service so you can work while you are away if needed.
This perfect hideaway is still the most strategically located home in Gearhart, with everything within less than half a mile: shopping, beach, golf or highway.

We had such a great weekend at the Salty Dog!! We had ten people with us and we had a extra bedroom to spare. We had a lovely 8 miniute walk to the beach and the house also came with 2 bikes that we used to go to the little grocery store in Gearhart. I would definitly recomend this house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This house has plenty of room, a fire-pit for roasting marshmallows and making smores, comfy beds to sleep in with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and a table large enough to seat 8!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

Our entire family had a wonderful time staying in this home.The house was very spacious and clean, no one felt as if they were tripping over one another. The house came fully stocked with bedding, towels, utensils and cookware. The weather was extremely nice and we will definitely make this a yearly family getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

a cozy retreat for our windy coastal weekend. we decided to take a family trip to the coast and while i wasn't sure about staying in gearhart, i booked this house b/c everyone had their own room/bed, it allowed dogs and it was walking distance to the coast. after finding the property (the driveway is hidden and a bit steep) we were pleasantly surprised by the modern furniture/appliances and roomy house. i had assumed the yard was fully enclosed by a fence (would have been ideal for dogs) but it wasn't. however, it's still very private and big. we LOVED the back mud room entry since our stay at the coast was wet and rainy. we could wipe off the dogs and ourselves before letting them into the house. i also loved that we can close off sections of the house with doors. this was very helpful in keeping the dogs out sections of the house or when babies were sleeping. a half mile walk to the beach lead us to a windy beach all to ourselves and we even saw a herd of elk in the grassy dunes. a great weekened with three generations of family AND our dogs! we will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.
