Within minutes from great diving, and from Koko Marina which offers a wide variety of water sports including paddling, kayaking, snorkeling, banana boating, bumper tube, jet ski, wakeboard, scuba, and para sailing. Near by shops, gourmet restaurants, farmer's markets, and grocery stores.

Stayed there for a few days over Xmas and NYE in 2012. House with amazing view of the Ocean. Spacious house with rooms to fit all of us. Used the well equipped kitchen to prepare our NYE dinner. Then went on to the huge deck to see the fireworks above Waikiki! Loved it!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great open floorplan, ideal for families or in our case, a long weekend girls getaway. Located in the gorgeous portlock community within Hawaii Kai, this rental was perfectly situated for getting to all the local hangouts from Roys, to Times Market to Hanauma Bay to the lighthouse walk to the grueling koko head crater walk! the neighborhood is safe and easy to park in - we never even parked in the driveway, prefering to park on the street closer to the front door and every morning/night people were up running/jogging the streets welcoming the ahola sunrise & sunset! we felt like local kings and queens relaxing in the beautiful home - couldn't have asked for bettter. def book a stay here if your'e looking for a more quiet and relaxing oahu vacation!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at this property! This tastefully decorated house was stocked with all of the amenities (including convenient laundry on the premises). The beautiful deck and pool were great to enjoy the views of the sunrise and sunset. In addition to the comfortable sized bedrooms, a large master which opened to the deck, there was another spacious room in separate wing which afforded ultimate privacy. Would definitely recommend staying here - perfect for groups and families! We will be back for sure!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed in this beautiful home during a recent girls trip. The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 6 - not only were the bedrooms comfortable with AC units and celing fans, but the common areas were large and great for hanging out. The living room had a large flatscreen tv with digital cable and comfortable leather sofas and pappasan chair. The adjacent family room also had a nice sofa and the large dining room could seat 12 around the table. We enjoyed the spectacular ocean views from all the common which made breakfast and pupu hours especially peaceful. The house is really nice and clean, super convenient to nearby sites and tourist areas, located in a nice quiet neighborhood and a great hotel alternative especially for large groups. I've recommended this property to other friends and would stay here again if I take another group vacation in Honolulu.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Perfect way to see and explore Honolulu. Incredible neighborhood that is jus far enough removed from the hustle and bustle of the main city where you can choose to explore the sites or choose to be more removed from the hustle and bustle. Private. Spacious. Modern Appliances.All Amenities Clean. Impeccable Views. A pool and a tub that took years off my life. Six of us stayed very comfortably in this lovely home. The feel of the house is very open and spacious with lots of bright, natural light. The ocean views are gorgeous, and you can enjoy them both on the deck and inside the airy common areas of the house. The house is extremely clean -- cleaner than my own house. The upgraded kitchen is very pleasant to cook in, with lots of counter space and a very convenient island for work space. The newly remodeled master bath room has a very large, open (non-enclosed) shower that has the rain shower head and a very large soaking tub. The house was well-stocked with kitchen items and amenities. I would definitely stay there again. I would even bring the kids next time too, since the floor plan is very accessible and convenient for kids.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This Portlock/ Hawaii Kai house is a true gem. The view is breathtaking and it is precious to wake up to a full ocean view. Early mornings and sunset on the deck are not to be missed. You can truly appreciate the beauty of Hawaii watching the ocean and clouds and feeling the breeze on the deck. The house is in great shape, very clean and well furnished. We cooked full meals in the house and everything we needed was right there. Rogel the handyman lives right next door and can help with fixing small things around the house. The neighborhood has many things to be enjoyed—there are small beach parks every other block that make for great walks. It is very convenient—Safeway, Longs and even Costco are right around the corner. And the famous Bubbies for ice cream mochis! I much prefer this to Waikiki. which in my opinion diminishes one’s enjoyment of Honolulu because of its over-busyness. Honolulu is best enjoyed with some space around. I took pictures from the deck and sent them by whatsapp to friends back home—now we have a full crew who want to come back at the end of the year! PS The house actually looks better than the photos—it really is a charmed house, bright and airy with great sunlightRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We recently rented this beautiful home for our staycation/my birthday and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The house is absolutely lovely with a huge kitchen to work in (we had 4 people working to make dinner together and there was plenty of room for more without being in each other's space). It also has an array of bedrooms to choose from for guests. The master bedroom looks out on to the view and has an awesome bathroom complete with a big shower head in the ceiling, a giant tub and dual sinks. The views were breathtaking from the spacious deck and there was plenty of seating outside to eat dinner and watch the sunset (a definite must do). Located close by are supermarkets, restaurants and plenty of different activities should you want to go to the movies, snorkeling or hiking. Henri and Georgette were so helpful when it came to answering questions/making sure we had a wonderful experience and stay. If you're looking for a vacation home or having a staycation you can't go wrong with this choice! This is a great house with a gorgeous view of the ocean and Diamond Head. We brought our 2 twenty something children and 3 of their friends and we all fit comfortably in the house. It never felt like we were bumping into each other. There were 2 twin beds still available for my niece and nephew to sleep over one night. We stopped off at the nearby Costco and stocked up on food for the week. It was nice to be able to cook breakfast every morning and to enjoy dinner on the spacious deck in the evening. The sunsets were beautiful and the kids enjoyed walking to China Walls to see the view and the divers. The neighborhood is peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We were only a few minutes by car to Hanauma Bay, Sea Life Park, the Blow Hole, and Sandy Beach. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to relax in a beautiful setting with lots of space and breathtaking sunsets. Henri and Georgette were very helpful and answered all our questions. Our whole family gives it 2 thumbs up.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

I picked Portlock because when i was a little kid, i used to come here to fish, and fell in love with the quiet beauty of this idyllic, quaint, and charming place. A few years ago i purchased this home, not far from where i used to fish, and decided to remodel the back of the house to create a very large, 3400 sq ft deck with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. The remodeling of the house was just completed with the construction of one of most expansive private decks in Hawaii for perfect outdoor living. You can still walk within a few minutes to great fishing, and diving around the corner.
