Beautiful Home with Lots of Room!
Beautiful Home with Lots of Room!
I spent my 29th birthday in Tamarindo with my husband and another couple at the beautiful La Secreta. The house was beautiful, with lots of space. There are 2 bedrooms in the main house, and another bedroom and bathroom that are separate. The backyard is great, with a great patio area and a nice private little pool to take a dip in. Bob, the property manager was great! He greeted us upon our arrival and took us to the grocery store since we didn't have a car. He also made some great suggestions on excursions and places to eat and he arranged our transportation and our activities. We were there during the rainy season, so a lot of the restaurants we wanted to try were closed. (We did eat at Nibbana, thanks to Bob and it was very good.) We took fool advantage of the kitchen while we were there, and it pretty much anything you could need. If you do plan on cooking, you might check the cabinets for things you might need before going to the store. I know we left sugar, olive oil and some other marinades that we didn't end up using. Now on to The Beach Club, which is a great perk when you stay in this house. It's a pretty short walk from the house and it's a great landing spot right on the beach. The owners and staff are fabulous, and I can't imagine staying in Tamarindo without having access to this place. We only ate around the pool, but the food was fantastic and you could open a tab on your first day there and then close it at the end of your stay. This was nice so we didn't have to carry a card or cash with us all the time. Lastly the location. It was a pretty short walk to the beach, and to town. I would suggest taking the beach into town during the daytime and just taking a taxi back at night. We didn't have a lot of luck getting a taxi from Tamarindo Preserve, but that could have had to do with the fact that it's the rainy season. I would also suggest that you bring a small flashlight with you too in case you do end up walking around at night. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I hope to come back here myself in the near future!

Great Tamarindo Vacation Home!
Great Tamarindo Vacation Home!
This villa is exactly as pictured, and then some. It is absolutely beautiful, brand new everything, comfortable, private and a perfect place to come back to after a long day of adventures. It was very clean and the beds were incredibly large and comfortable. The third bedroom is in a separate cabana outside by the pool which was great for the older kids. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a grill on the porch and a great outdoor sitting area. We had some appetizers and wine on the patio several nights, it was paradise! The pool is a great thing to have when you get home from the beach or an excursion to float in for a little while and relax. Bob the property manager was so helpful, he took us to the grocery store when we got into town, helped us figure out the prices, and set up all of our excursions for us. The walk to Tamarindo beach is not bad, the stairs down to the beach need some definite improvements though. We walked down the road most days to the beach club, which is a short easy walk. The beach is beautiful, our favorite beach to walk on was Langosta because of all the rock formations, when the tide goes out it is magnificent. It is also very cool to be on the point between these two beaches and have both options! The beach club is a huge plus to staying in the house, they have beach chairs, a pool, a bar, and a great restaurant. We ate lunch there almost everyday and dinner once. The food is great! The kids loved swimming in the pool, playing in the ocean, or sitting in a cabana under a fan while we laid on the beach, it was a perfect set up for us. They also have a great happy hour! The town of Tamarindo is a beautiful walk down the beach, we walked there most nights as the sun was setting for dinner and then took a taxi back for just $5. Great restaurants in town (try Ttiki, Nibbana, Pizzeria La Baula, and the Beach Club) and very nice people everywhere! Overall, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back to Tamarindo again soon, and will definitely be staying in this villa again when we do! Highly recommended.

Gorgeous, luxurious villa
Gorgeous, luxurious villa
My two friends and I decided to take our three daughters to Costa Rica to celebrate their 16th birthdays, and I am SO glad we found this villa! It is so comfortable and luxurious, spacious, clean, everything new, and a convenient walk to the beach and to the beach club, which became our second home. Bob Wilson, the property manager, is worth his weight in gold. He arranged the shuttles, took us to the grocery store when we arrived, gave us all kinds of great advice, arranged fantastic day tours of the volcano and snorkeling from a catamaran, and was available night and day to answer questions. The beds are amazingly comfortable, and the small pool is perfect for cooling off at night after a day at the beach. The great room is spacious with very comfy furniture. The master bedroom and first guest bedroom are upstairs and away from the sounds of the kitchen, living room, and laundry, and they each have their own bathroom. The second guest room is actually in a separate little guest house across the yard, which was absolutely perfect for our daughters to have their own space (the three of them fit just fine in the king bed). The house is next to a road but is screened by trees, and the traffic was never bad. We heard howler monkeys at night and lots of birds, and one morning I saw a gecko on my wall. We felt very safe in Tamarindo and had no qualms about our girls walking around town without us. Many people there speak English, almost everyone takes dollars (they give you change in colones), and many places take Visa. We didn't rent a car and walked everywhere, although next time I'd probably rent bikes for the week just to make it easier when we want to run into town. There was lots of great food. The Langosta beach club is AMAZING and is a huge benefit to renting this villa, because membership is included. We spent a lot of time just hanging out in the cabana under the fan, looking out at the beautiful trees and ocean, while the incredibly friendly staff brought us drinks (take advantage of happy hour!). The yoga studio and workout room are top notch, and there's wi-fi inside. The beach club is right on the beach, and it was so fun to swim in the infinity pool and look out at the ocean. The staff was great about putting our stuff behind the bar for safekeeping when we went to the beach. If you want a relaxing, fun, exotic experience in a sweet little beach town and want a gorgeous house with comfy beds to come home to every night, this is the place!

My wife and I along with two couples spent a week in Costa Rica and stayed in this beautiful three bedroom villa. The entire experience was amazing! Bob helped us out a great deal with providing us with shuttle service, to booking us for adventure trips, to even taking us to the grocery store. I was very pleased with the villa; extremely clean, very large, beautiful and security was also was making sure that everything was ok at all times. I would highly recommend tamarindo and staying in this 3 bedroom villa, you will not be dissapointed. PURA VIDA!

Great Getaway in Tamarindo
Great Getaway in Tamarindo
This was our first time in Costa Rica and we all thorougly enjoyed our trip. The house itself was exactly as stated and the picutues provided a very accurate depiction of what to expect. The house is in a very secure communtity that had helpful security on staff 24/7 willing to call cabs, a $5 trip into town. Taking a cab is definitely necessary, as the town of Tamarindo is really not walking distance and the roads are pretty rough shape without sidewalks. Since the house is not right on the beach, having access to the Langosta Beach club was a definite bonus. Any day we weren't on an adventure trip, we frequented the beach club, which was never over crowded and served the best banana daquiris we've ever had! The property manager we dealt with was also extremely helpful when it came to recommending activities, as well as finding the grocery store. We would be more than happy to rent through him again! Overall, a very relaxing getaway and we would recommend this property to families, or groups of couples who want to be able to cook some of their own meals and have a private retreat, with additonal access to a town and beach club.

Six Amigos from Oklahoma
Six Amigos from Oklahoma
Had three couples stay for 7 days the first of March 2012. Beautiful new house with 3 lovely bedrooms, full kitchen, very nice living room and fantastic outdoor patio and completely private pool. Every bit as nice as the pictures showed. Gated developent and secure with guard and maintenance staff. Development not fully built out and a little bit of a hike to the beach (need a better path/stairs down to beach), but perfectly located in Playa Langosta/Tamarindo. One of the great features during your stay is full privileges to the the Langosta Beach Club which is a short walk along the beach. The beach is wide with nice sand and the water is clear and very friendly waves for swimming. The Beach Club has an excellent pool, cabanas, bar, restaurant and fitness center. Only complaint was the female attendant at the fitness center could have been more helpful. Can also walk along the beach to Tamarindo, but a taxi ride is only $5 US. Tamarindo is a quaint little seaside fishing village. Everyone is nice, English is spoken by most, many shops, US dollars taken everywhere and the restuarants were FANTASTIC. You could not find better fresh fish & food for the money. Our favorites for dinner were Nibbana, DragonFly, Seasons, Pizzeria La Baula and Nogui's and of course for lunch was LongBoards and the fish tacos. Bob the property manager was extemely helpful. Make sure you go through Bob for all your needs. We used Bob for aranging transportation, grocery shopping, deep sea fishing excursion and the girls all day spa adventure. Would be our first choice to stay again on our next trip to Tamarindo.
