Fantastic house! Everything we wanted!
Fantastic house! Everything we wanted!
The pictures do not do this house justice. We chose this home for 3 reasons: 1) view of the lake, 2) hot tub, 3) amenities for kids. It certainly did not disappoint! The deck is very large with a beautiful view. Plenty of room to eat, grill, and of course HOT TUB, which is VERY clean and comfortable. There are plenty of games, toys, pack & play, highchair, sippy cups, etc for kids -- you don't even need to pack a thing! The outdoor play area for the kids was great, just wish you could see it from the deck. The inside was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We brought our boat, and there was plenty of parking available. Short 5 min drive into town. Owner is exceptionally friendly and very easy to get ahold of...when we lost power due to a storm, she was in close contact to take care of us! The highlight of the trip was a bull moose at the back door!! We would LOVE to stay here again!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
Perfect Weekend Getaway
This house is wonderful for a long weekend getaway! My family celebrated a 50th birthday/reunion over Labor Day weekend and the house fit the 14 of us perfectly. The charming decor made us feel at home and we enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the deck. Set in a quiet neighborhood the house is still close to town. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, horseback riding and rafting during our stay. The younger children enjoyed the play area. Our elderly/disabled mother had an easy time getting around the house. Quick to respond to questions and concerns, the owners made our stay pleasant. In a word, perfect! We would definitely book again!

One of the best houses we have stayed in...Guest comment entered by owner
One of the best houses we have stayed in...
We had an amazing time - my Uncle went fly fishing, my husband and I went hiking in RMNP, my Aunt and cousins went to soak in the hot springs, and we all went out on a pontoon boat in Grand Lake. Super fun and relaxing. Thanks for everything. This was one of the best houses we have stayed in for family vacation - everything worked, the deck has an amazing view, lots of toys for the little one, and a great kitchen space for making meals.

Seems like you have it down!
We had a great time and the house was so wonderful. Everyone kept commenting on how comfortable, spacious and well-equipped the house was. The location was also great. The kids had many adventures in the woods, we saw several moose and we loved the town of Grand Lake. We ended up watching fireworks from the deck of the house (part of the time in the hot tub) and it was spectacular. I'm SO glad we didn't try to drive in to see them closer! Thank you also for your suggestion about grocery shopping--saved us a lot of money! It was also very helpful for us to have all the major baby items provided. We really didn't have to bring any equipment at all. I can't think of anything else. Seems like you have it down!

I can't say enough good things about this house. The location was perfect. Beautiful view, wilderness feel, but close to town. My group of 10 ppl were very comfortable. One of our group is a handicap 11 year old boy. He was able to get around the house in his wheel chair with no problems. I would recommend Grand Lake for a vacation and also recommend this home. Thank You for your Hospitality :-) Activities I recommend: White Water Rafting, Bike riding, Winter park, Estes Park, Kayaking in Grand Lake, and relaxing on this beautiful back porch and hot tub after a fun day of adventure :-)

Great Family Vacation!
Great Family Vacation!
What a beautiful home with all the amenities. We stayed for three nights with our two boys (ages 8 and 10) and it was wonderful!! We had more than enough room and thought that next time, we'd probably see if another family would join us since the house has a really cozy feel, but can accommodate two families easily. We really felt like we were camping with lots of benches around the fire and picnic tables. One of the big hits for the boys was to climb the large rock in the backyard out by the fire ring. The kids had a great time exploring the woodsy yard. We made smores around the campfire and then went back up to the beautiful house..my kind of camping! We hiked at the Falls which was great. We went fishing several times at Point Park which was about 5 minutes from the house. We were even surprised by a couple of moose outside the window of the house on Sunday morning. It was great to see wildlife up close but within the safety of the house. We enjoyed the beautiful jacuzzi every chance we got! The deck area is really very nice, with the jacuzzi being fenced off for peace of mind if you have little ones with you. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning, have coffee on the deck and look out at the mountains and beautiful lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Amazing Home & Owners
The house was perfect for our group. Great location with amazing views. The fire pit was a great area to hang around. Our last morning at the house during breakfast a moose came through the yard. Owners were very kind and provided many great recommendations for the area. Our group will definitely be returning and staying at this home.

First, the owners were very prompt and friendly with answering any questions we had. Then, once we arrived we were lucky enough to actually meet the owner. She was so inviting and hospitable that we knew we were going to be pleased before we even walked in! And to no surprise this cabin was simply perfect for our large group! There were so many comfortable places to sleep and plenty of room for the children to play, not to mention all the board games available! The oversized deck with tons of seating and even a child's picnic table was a highlight. You could easily see the lake from the deck and the view was wonderful! The hot tub was relaxing under the stars and very clean! The entire house was very well maintained and extremely clean and comfortable with plenty of extra linens and towels for use. Everything was thought of to make this stay stress free and relaxing. Even the kitchen was fully equipt with utensils and pots and pans! (probably better than my actual home!). Definitely kid friendly and within a mile from the town of grandlake. Fishing was just around the corner and the property was private in the woods for the kids to explore. There was even plenty of parking right at the home. This is a must stay and will definitely be a tradition amongst my group of friends. The photos were great but even better in person. I cannot say enough about this property and the owners! I highly recommend you stay here and make it your tradition because it is a great price and beautiful place!

Amazing Family Rental
Amazing Family Rental
To start our family consists of my wife and I and 4 kids ages 6,5,4, and 12 months. We are used to staying at vacation rental homes. We have rented homes in Belize and Dominican Republic. This was our first stateside rental and we were not disappointed! The house is very open and has extremely good views of the mountains. Everything is kid and baby friendly and the owners had age appropriate toys and bedding available for our stay. We also had extended family come in to visit and stay the night. We never felt cramped or short on space. Our typical day ran like this: Wake up and make breakfast while watching for moose outside. Several times a mommy and baby would be grazing early. We would enjoy their company from the safety of the house and fenced in deck. For lunch we would sit out on the deck with the kids and plan our afternoon. After lunch we would head into town for ice cream, shopping or head just a little farther down the road for a pet and kid friendly hike. Later, Dinner would again be on the deck, we grilled several times and ordered out a couple others. Every evening we would sit out and enjoy the stars and view with a tasty beverage, most of the time while sitting in the hot tub. To close out the evening. we would head back in and sit in front of the fireplace . This was an excellent stay, we loved the house and hope to visit again in future years with our family.

About the owner: We love Grand Lake and know you will, too! Our family owned a local resort for over 50 years, so we know a little about hospitality and the local area. We can't be in Grand Lake all the time now, so we hope you will enjoy our home for us when we are away!
Why the Owner Chose Grand Lake:
Grand Lake is home--to residents and travellers alike. Our family has been connected to Grand Lake since 1953 and we hope to be connected there forever! It is a little slice of heaven, perfect for family time, outdoor activity, and peace.
The Unique Benefits at this House:

The property is around 1 acre with a huge kids' play structure, and campfire area with picnic tables and benches. Dogs have a fenced area right off the deck, so you can let them out without worrying the wild animals will get them! The hot tub is clean and built right into the deck to get in and out of easily.
