The Creek House (1800 sq ft) is located just 50 yards up river from where the world record brown trout (40+ pounds!) was caught. Sit on the back porch and watch the river go by or join the friendly fishermen by taking your rod to the dock and casting your line. If fishing is not your thing, relax in the house with a good book, watch cable TV, try that new recipe in the kitchen, or take a good old fashioned nap. A tour of downtown Heber Springs will lead you to several antique and variety stores. Don't want to cook, there is a good selection of restaurants in town and nearby. The Creek House is a welcome spot for family togetherness or a little alone time.
Upon arrival there is a two car carport under which you can park to keep out of any inclement weather while unloading via the double garage connected to the carport.
Inside, accommodations include a queen-size bed and dresser in the master bedroom, two twin beds and chest of drawers in the second bedroom, a queen sofa-sleeper in the living room along with a twin daybed. Also, a queen air mattress is availabe (with electric pump) for additional sleeping on the floor. The master bathroom is accessed from either the master bedroom or the hallway and features a shower, makeup table, closet, lighted vanity and mirror in the main room and the toilet and a small vanity in a side area. The second bath is accessed from the hall and contains a tub/shower combo, toilet and vanity with mirror. A couch, rocker, and two recliners (one with heat and massage) make up the seating in the den which overlooks the river. A 32' HD TV with basic cable is available for viewing from the den and the dining room. The wooden table in the dining room will seat six and additional chairs and secondary tables are available for additional guests. Throughout the house are framed photos featuring areas on the Little Red River and the surrounding area.
There are several activity areas in the backyard such as the covered back porch with table and chairs, chimenea and firepit areas, open lower deck, and the fishing/boat dock.

We met family members for a wonderful visit and this home added so much pleasure to our get together. The home looks exactly as the pictures. Everything is very inviting. We especially liked the den area with the glass windows all across the back of the house facing the river. There was fish caught on the first day. It has nice decks and the steps are very well made which is important to me. It was fun having a kitchen to prepare meals and made it feel more like a family atmosphere. You do need to bring any food products you need. I think salt and pepper is the only thing available. Everything was clean and the owner came over after we arrived and encourged us to call if we had any questions. We had not been to Heber Springs in several years and we were surprised at all the new things and the fact the downtown area doesn't seem to be abandoned as I recall in the past. There are several stores and boutiques which really add an atmosphere of being on vacation. It was fun to walk up and down a a couple of blocks shopping. The young couple with us and their son went on a hike up Sugar Loaf Mountain and had a great time. It was a positive experience for all us and we would like to visit again and recommend it to family and friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: We bought The Creek House as our home and lived there until 2008 when we moved on down the river to our current home. We are both retired and travel the beautiful and amazing USA several months each year with our 4 cats (yes, 4 cats and 2 adults in an RV). We hope utilizing The Creek House as a vacation rental will allow others to enjoy God's handiwork.
Why the Owner Chose Heber Springs:
We both worked in the Little Rock area for our careers. We began visiting the Greers Ferry area shortly after the dam was built and the lake was formed. We progessed from camping here to having a weekend place to living here. The pace is slow, the beauty of nature surrounds you, and you feel at peace.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of our favorite things is to have that first cup of coffee on the back porch or dock while watching the fog glide along the river with the sun shining thru.
