Many lake homes or cottages are so stacked upon each other that one has no privacy. This cottage is an extension of our pole barn, has been remodeled and contains all the basic amenities, and is recessed from the street by 500 feet.
It has a beautiful view of Long Lake and has access to 100 ft frontage with swimming area. The lake itself is about 1 mile wide and 2 miles long and is very good for fishing year around (ice fishing during the winter months), boating, and water skiing.
Both the lake and the surrounding forest area are good for snowmobiling and ATVs . Hunting is permitted on the state property across the street.
Two full hookups for RVs are also available.
The cottage is located 5 miles from Belding, and 15 miles from Ionia and Greenville. All three towns have shopping areas, including Walmart and Meijer supermarket as well as movie theaters.

I stayed here for a weekend with some friends and it was very accurate to the description. It was a nice place for us since we were rarely inside. The front house was unoccupied which was very nice since the two houses are quite close. The lake a good size and not too busy with boats and I was just happy to be fishing or relaxing on a raft. About the owner: Prior to retiring, I worked as a psychologist for community mental health (14 years) and for corrections (19 years). For the past 25 years we camped as a family during the summer, but this became too much for my wife and we decided to buy a lake home. Included with the home we bought was a cottage attached to our pole barn and this we remodeled for renting purposes.. So far we thoroughly enjoyed the home as well as the cottage.

We enjoy boating, paddle boating, swimming and some of the grand kids go fishing. Ice fishing and ice skating are also available and there is plenty of room for volley ball and playing horse shoes. hiking in the woods across the street can also be fun. Hunting is permitted on adjacent state property.
