Excellent Hopitality and Location
Excellent Hopitality and Location
We first rented Stage Coach River Ranch due to the great fishing reviews and river access indicated. We arrived to find the river the color of chocolate milk due to all the rains but we were very pleased with our surroundings. Linda was a wonderful host; very accommodating, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The setting of this ranch was beautiful, close to Cody and Yellowstone. The accommodations were most adequate, recently updated with a second bath. Due to the arrangement of the bathrooms, one bedroom did lack some privacy but could be easily fixed with a screen or room divider. Everything was very clean and had lots of space. There were other people who were staying with horses and she had places for trailer hookups. We enjoyed a huge fire pit down by the river one night. The property layout offered enough privacy from other guests and staying downstairs with the spacious walk out basement was not a problem. A smaller bunk house area is also available for rental. You just felt "at home" here. The river did clear a bit but was not fishing well at the property so we were pleased to find lots of other access areas up the road and closer to Yellowstone that had not received quite as much rain ( sort of a rare incident for this time of year I think). We also enjoyed some good Brooktrout fishing in Sunlight Basin, over Dead Indian Pass, within driving distance of the ranch. We saw plenty of Elk, horses, Grouse, and rabbits - luckily, no bears. It was a fantastic vacation and we would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great time , we were out to see my mom and dad and it was there 60th wedding anniversary, we did all of our cooking there so we could visit and not have to go out to eat. Much more relaxing to visit, we had 22 people to eat, and there was plenty of space to sit, there was 12 that stayed at night and it was very comfortable. I was a little worried about having the owner upstairs with noisy but it was fine and She was so helpful, We asked her to take a family picture and even thew she was out side working she stop what she was doing and had us come up on the deck and she took the picture, it gave us the chance to get the picture developed and framed and gave it you mom and dad as a present the next day as we were leaving. The guys got together and tried fly fishing for the first time that was fun, The week went fast but it was a great time.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful property along with my elderly parents for 3 nights. It had everything we were looking for: spacious, CLEAN accommodations with easy access; great location between Cody and the east entrance of YNP; and river front access to the Shoshone River for fishing. Linda is an excellent hostess, who showed us the ropes upon arrival but then kindly left us on our on, unless we needed her assistance or had questions. The views were absolutely amazing and so was the fishing! My elderly father, who has fished in many places in the U.S., loved the easy access to the river and caught some beautiful trout! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Stagecoach River Ranch!

Fly Fishing Heaven
Fly Fishing Heaven
Spent a week here with my son and daughter-in law. A great place to stay. Close to Cody and Yellowstone NP. Clean, spacious accommodations. Super comfortable beds. Equipped with everything you need. Linda is a most gracious host. If you are a fly fisherman, you can not fish a better stretch of the North Fork of the Shoshone then the private section along Linda's property.Highly recommend. Hope to return soon.

This was my second trip to this gorgeous getaway and I enjoyed it even more than the first time! The views are spectacular in every direction, the river frontage and access and privacy make it very unique. The accommodations are impeccably maintained and the owner is very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do and see I'm planning on coming back next summer and staying even longer!

beautiful place! nicely decorated and comfortable. The accommodations are very roomy. My husband and our 12 yr old son stayed here. watch the bunnies out the window, catch some fish, throw sticks for the resident sheperd and greet the horses in the morning while you have some coffee. If we ever make it back to cody-we're coming here!

We recently spent 11 nights at Stagecoah River Ranch. The accomodations exceeded our expectations. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The view from the dinnig room alone is worth the price. The proximity to Yellowstone and Cody made this an ideal location for our riding adventures. The owner, Linda, was there when we needed her, but pretty much gave us our privacy. The ranch's river frontage allows for some spectacular trout fishing (just out the back door). We have every intention of visiting here again.

Owner very courteous, beautiful home. Plenty of. Room to park. Close to river close to Yellowstone 30 miles, close to Cody Wy. 11 miles comfortable beds Cons- only one private bedroom others are all bunk house style advertise 3 bath, really only 1 full bath, 1 shower room, 1 toilet with low ceiling placed under staircase, need to advertise what times of the year river is open to fish, we didn't realize we were staying in the open basement portion of owners home, Overall great value for the money although price quoted and price charged was different ended up costing us more $$ than originally quoted but still cheaper than renting 4 hotel rooms

Owner response: The clients were very nice and booked for only one night. Wasn't aware they were interested in fishing; as they came late and left eary as if passing thru. I thank them for their suggestion regarding fishing times and will list them in the future. Unfortunately, they did not fully read the information provided in the listing regarding number of baths, rates etc. Also, a detailed billing was e-mailed prior to booking; so as not to have any surprises. My personal website with additional photos and information was also provided; along with a Fishing Section. I have two full baths with large mirrors and vanities....one with a separate toilet area which clients seem to really like making it more available. Customer satisfaction is my utmost goal!

Year Purchased: 1986
About the owner: I have been a business owner in Cody since 1983 and owned and operated a roller skating facility until just a few years ago. I have also been a horse owner since the age of fourteen with the exception of the four years that I attended Western Michigan University. My family moved to Cody from South Lyon, Michigan where I boarded horses and raised german shepherds. In the later years I was also involved with the K-9 Search & Rescue Team. We brought Children, Horses, Dogs and Cats to 'Big Wonderful Wyoming'! All three children graduated from Cody High School with the youngest attending the Wapiti School from grades K thru 6. My Morgan Mare went from Show Horse to Mountain Horse. She took care of me on the trail; as well as packing out Elk for the family. I purchased her at six months of age and lost her a few years ago at the great age of thirty three. She was my horse of a Lifetime! Cody Country is most definitely an Awesome place to raise a family and to visit!
