Our stay in Tubac was wonderful! The townhome was so beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home. My husband and I stayed for 12 days and found it very hard to leave. The comfort of the townhome combined with views of the Santa Rita mountains, cobalt blue skies and 90 degree weather with a steady breeze....made for a very memorable, enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Just what we needed after a long Wisconsin winter!!!! We loved the area and plan on returning next year. I would definately recommend this rental.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

This fit my family perfectly. The pool was lovely. The people that were staying in the vicinity and using the pool were very friendly. The place was clean and beautifully decorated. I will definitely be looking to rent this again in the future because our family comes together several times a year and our house here is too small. We loved it!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad that your stay at the home and the community was so enjoyable. We love our return guests and offer a discount to those that have rented previously. Our home is always open to you when you need it again.

First I must say that everything of issue was quickly resolved by Carla....The town house is in a very developed community and quarters are tight. The outside courtyard fireplace grand...size small and the noise of the interstate unbearable to a couple of Wyo ranchers....the pool area really nice to say the least. Also the house is set up very nice for two couples with the dual master suites. For being so close to the border the area is very secure as it should be as the saturation of Border Patrol agents is quite high and one should allow for check stations no matter which way you leave Tubac. In particular the station on North bound 19 can cause back ups of miles. The artist of Tubac are by far the most original and diverse that we have seen and are not just the "southwest design" keep in mind if you NEED it it will be $$$ So shop at greenvalley prior to arrival if you plan to cook!!! So Bad: too many folks, too much hiway noise Good: Tubac, pool and couples set up Also as far as handicap access I feel it wld be quite tight for a wheel chair as the living space is pretty filled with furniture....I wld suggest a table for 4 instead of the large table presently in kitchenRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

My wife and I spent 9 nights over Christmas and New Years. The property was as described, very clean and well-furnished, including the kitchen equipment. There were two large king-size bedroom suites, on the first and second floor which afforded lots of privacy for two couples. The town of Tubac is very close by, actually within walking distance, with a well-stocked food market and several restaurants. Also nearby is the De Anza Historic Trail for a nice walk. Although we are not golfers, the Tubac Golf Resort is also nearby and some of our 'hot tub' mates said it was quite a nice course. We highly recommend this property and would stay there again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My husband and I have stayed at this property many times over the last year. The townhome is convenient, always clean, and we find it to be a perfect place to stay while doing business in Tubac and the surrounding area. The pool is huge, clean and usually a pretty quiet area. There is a new exercise room that isn't all that close, but you can drive or take a long walk to get to it, and it is sufficient for a quick work out. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay in Tubac.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were so pleased with our stay at your condo in Tubac! We needed a place to stay for a wedding and you made sure we were taken care of even when the rental request was last minute. Other people were staying at hotels in the area and they were crammed into small rooms while we had more than enough room and luxury in your beautiful condo....not to mention the price was better than those hotels. We wish we could have stayed longer and we look forward to returning to Tubac and using your condo again. It was very clean, modern and spacious. The patio was nice and the pool area was perfect and calm. Thanks again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a lovely townhouse in Tubac that has all the amenities of home, and a lot of space. There were only two adults on our stay, but it could easily accommodate 2 couples or a family with 2-3 children. We arrived late at night due to airline delays, but excellent directions took us right to the townhouse. The keys were in an outdoor lock box that presented a challenge to enter the lock combination since we arrived after dark. Fortunately one of us had a cigarrette lighter to provide light. I would suggest carrying a small flash light to see the lock if there's a possibility of arriving at night. The property was clean and well maintained. The town house was nicely furnished and well equipped with 2 king sized bedrooms, dishes, cooking utensils, towels, appliances, and cleaning supplies. Everything was in working order except for the audio on the DVD player. I was able to reach the owner on first try. She arranged for a local service to check out the player and resolved a problem with the hookup same day. There's a nice pool area just down the walkway. The water was a little chilly (early April), but OK after the initial plunge. The owner provided a folder containing appliance manuals, eateries, sight seeing info, etc. This was very helpful. We took advantage of tours at the PIma Air and Space Museum which was great for kids of all ages. We also toured the Titan Missle Museum. That was interesting, but not recommended for children under 6. We ate at the Tubac Golf Resort, Elvira's, and Shelby's Bistro in Tubac and enjoyed delicious meals with good service. The Italian Peasant has good pizza. The Tubac Market is convenient for groceries without having to drive down the interstate to shop. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives, and will definitely return as I have family living in the vicinity. It's reasonably priced and great to stay in a home for a week rather than a hotel.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: This home is owned by two generations (parents/daughter/son-i-law) after they fell in love with the area and wanted a place for themselves as well as one they could share with others who enjoy a vacation that is focused around relaxation, art and history.
Why the Owner Chose Tubac:
After visiting the Sonoita Wine Country for several years we shared Tubac with my parents the week of the Famous Annual Tubac Arts Festival. My parents fell in love with Tubac and the townhomes as well and we chose to share the experience as a family. My father who is a historian loves the history that abounds both in Tubac and it's surrounding communities. My mother and myself enjoy the galleries and the dining options that abound (when we aren't enjoying a home cooked meal in our kitchen). My husband loves the proximity to the different golf courses and depending on his game has a variety of courses to choose from.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Our family loves the walks we can take within the community. We love looking at the beautiful architecture of the homes and townhomes. When we want to take a longer walk, we head over to the Anza trail for a nature walk/hike.
