The house was everything we hoped it would be and we had a great time. We had 7 adults and two small children at the house and there was plenty of room for everyone. The sunset views were awesome, the pool was great and we played lots of sand volleyball.

We had our yearly College weekend in Key Largo and had more than a fabulous time. The house was amazing, the views spectacular and the amenities were awesome. We took advantage of the water, the pool and the backyard. Our time spent at Casa de Ivy was memorable. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. Thank you for making it a wonderful and relaxing vacation with friends.

Since 1993 we are basically spending our yearly vacation in the US. From all the places visited this was the most amazing experience we had over all these years. We went with the full family, grandchildren included ( 4 from 2.5 years up till 7 years), a party of eleven. The house and its location cannot be better, we had all we could dream off. The swimming pool is just right sized, and much bigger than shown on the pictures, the pier is great and excellent for ( unexperienced) fisherman. The house itself has a colonial style with plenty of nice decoration. Kitchen with everything you need to prepare excellent meal. We will get back definately. Our thanks to Brad for his hospitality and his great work to turn this place into a dream house Linda and Jean from Antwerp in Belgium

Our three families gathered here for a week in February and had a fantastic time. The house is well appointed, represented accurately, and more than comfortable for nine people and an infant. The setting is beautiful and serene. Watching the sun come up and the cranes fish each morning with my small son was a welcome relief from our typical morning rush. Although we left for excursions around the keys, I'm certain we had more fun at the house. Hours were spent in the pool, fishing off the dock, sitting on the lanai, and enjoying meals in the kitchen. I was especially appreciative of the variety of sand toys and pool floats on site for small children. The owner is helpful and easy to work with.

Brad, We had a marvelous time, your home is beautiful and so very comfortable for a group of friends to spend time together! The large kitchen open to the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying great food and company. The bed/baths offered comfort and privacy – and quite a bit of napping went on. We saw a lot of fish activity on the shoreline that provided entertainment and incentive to cast our lines in the water -- where the Crevalle Jack took our shrimp with gusto and gave us a good time bringing them in, to release them again of course J We especially enjoyed some of your coconuts, fresh from the tree, courtesy of your friendly neighbor. Even Mother Nature cooperated with the best weather Florida has had all year!! Our little group has been best of friends for more than 30 years. This is the first extended time we’ve had together in longer than we want to remember. Your home and hospitality made it a splendid memory!! Thank you, Linda

Our family of 5 adults and 2 small children gathered at Casa de Ivy to celebrate a birthday. The house was just as described. It is well appointed and very comfortable. We stayed in one night and made crab dip, grilled fish with mango salsa, and had s'mores for dessert around the fire. The exterior is amazing - no need to go anywhere else - just stay and enjoy the beach, the pool, the fire pit, the swings, the covered patios and on and on. Awesome spaces to relax and enjoy family and friends.

We just got done staying at the house in Jan. We had a great time! We saw a dolphin, shark, a crane we named Larry (he got real close to our fisherman on the dock). Do you think he was hoping to get a fish? Iguanas, fish and there was a festival going on so we saw great fireworks. The sunsets were great. It was easy to get groceries, there was a large grocery store near by. Two of our people went to swim with the dolphins. I was leery because I don't really want to see the dolphins kept in captivity. This was a really nice place and you could tell the owners really cared about the animals and their health. It was called Theatre of the Sea. We also went snorkeling at John Pennecamp State Park. It was Ok, we went on a day the visibility wasn't the greatest. Saw LOTS of Barracuda. The house is a good house for little kids, there is a fence all around, a pool to swim in. Lots of life jackets except no small toddler ones, although there are lots of blow up swimmies you put on their arms. If you have little kids and they like to lock the doors that could be a problem as there is no way to unlock the door from the outside, except to put something in the hole and turn. We couldn't find any tools so we used a hot dog stick which we found in the room with all the beach stuff. It worked. Brad you may want to have a screwdriver or two in case of emergencies like that. All in all an awesome place. Thanks.

We absolutely loved this house! I fact so much so that we reserved for two weeks next year BEFORE I wrote the review to make sure that we could get the dates we wanted. We were at Casa De Ivy from January 6 to January 13. We had eight adults – me and my husband, both in our fifties, and three of our grown children (youngest 19) with their wife/boyfriends. Though I am sure there are all sorts of fabulous hikes and other things we could have done in the Key Largo area, we spent almost every minute on the property – reading by the pool, playing volleyball, fishing off the dock, kayaking, watching sunsets, playing games around the kitchen island. Everyone had their own room and bathroom, and the public spaces were so conducive to hanging out together. We saw every bird imaginable in the time we were there (including parrots), a manatee hanging around by the dock, an incredible male iguana showing off for a couple of lady friends, and dolphins swimming by nightly. My husband and our son even kayaked with a pod of over 20 of them one evening. On another kayak ride, our future son-in-law proposed to our daughter, something he had not planned to do here, but was having such a great time that he couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate their engagement. We especially liked the kitchen island and porch off the kitchen – nightly snacks watching the sunset and dinner all at the table. We hardly went out at all because it was so easy and relaxed to eat at home. The pool is small (no lap swimming) but perfect for jumping in too cool off after sunbathing. The fire pit is a blast and we had s’mores several nights. Brad is a great owner to work with – answers all questions quickly, easy to reach, always accommodating. He has put together a rental that is outfitted more like a cherished vacation home with no detail overlooked. I can’t recommend this property more highly.

Owner response: The fire pit, sunsets and outdoor shower (with hot water) are my favorites. Hope to see you again next year. - Brad

What an amazing property, from the well appointed house to the pool to the beach. We rented for a birthday trip with friends, and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Brad has done a great job setting the house up with everything you need to stay on property for days on end. The description of the house doesn't do it justice, it's all accurate but better. We spent most of the time on the upper porch (our favorite), in the pool, or on the beach, never needing to head out for activities.

Every year our family takes a vacation to Florida to visit our Dad/Grandpa for Christmas. We have stayed several places over the years but nothing quite like Casa de Ivy. There were so many activities for the kids who are all in there twenties that there were days we didn't leave the house. There were several bad mitten tournaments that took place, many nights around the fire and breathtaking sunsets. As for those who enjoy fishing we caught several fish right off the dock including sea trout, grunts and even a blue crab. We saw dolphin, a sting ray and even a few iguanas during our stay. The house is beautifully appointed and all of the outdoor furniture was very comfortable. I believe several of our family members fell asleep outside! I would high recommend this house to anyone the house is very luxurious and the shower in the master bath upstairs in incredible.

This house on the beach is beautiful. The owner Brad did a wonderful job rehabbing the home, the property and building the dock with great attention to detail. The landscaping, outdoor lighting and the pool are gorgeous. The multiple swings, outdoor shower, fishing gear and kayak added to the fun. The electric gate is a great feature too. There are some very nice extra amenities inside the house that we appreciated. The kitchen is all new and it's wonderful to be able to seat 10 people at the kitchen island. The bathrooms are lovely and the sound systems are terrific. We had a delightful, long, relaxing weekend there. I would have liked to rate this property a 4.5 out of 5, which is not an option on this site. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because it was a little pricier than other comparable properties I have rented in Turks and Caicos and the Cayman Islands.

After reading home descriptions and looking at pictures on line, you wonder how close they will be to the actual thing. Well, Case de Ivy is all I was expecting and so much more! As others mentioned, the owner, Brad Levine, loves his home and loves to have others enjoy it! It is furnished with quality items that one would find in their own home, not necessarily a rental. From the super comfy beds to the amazing furniture on the lanai, everything is first class. As well, the property itself is like out of a movie set. Lots of space to have privacy, but so much space to create wonderful family memories. Evening sunsets are out of this world and we have tons of pictures capturing their beauty! Really a terrific family vacation for folks of all ages! We are going back next year!! Now that says it all!!

We recently stayed at casa de ivy for a week with our family and it was an absolutely perfect setting for our wedding. The house itself exceeded all our expectations, it has recently been remodelled and it is obvious that no expense has been spared. The bedrooms are huge especially the master bedroom which has an en suite shower that we could have all fit in! The kitchen has everything you need but we did the majority of our cooking on the big gas barbecue down by the pool. The private beach with the volleyball court, pool, jetty and canoe meant there was so much to do some days we didn't even leave the house .We also caught some really nice fish off the end of the jetty, just before dark seemed to be best. All in all it was a fantastic holiday and everyone in our group can not recommend casa de ivy highly enough

This property is in a primo location. The natural beauty in the pictures is bettered in person. In addition to the natural surroundings, the owner has landscaped the place to perfection. Beautiful flowers, raked sand, walkways where you need them, even an outdoor shower. Inside the place does not disappoint. Roomy, spacious, and fully equipped. You will think you just walked into your own home. TV's in every room, every needed amenity in the kitchen, seating for 8 comfortably around a HUGE island in the kitchen, wine fridge, the list goes on. Beds are comfortable with quality bedding. On the upper and lower porch/patio there is ample patio furniture (4 or 5 couches, at least that many chairs, patio tables, etc), 3 different bench swings, a patio table around the pool, a picnic table near the mangroves, and a ton of Adirondac chairs on the beach around the fire pit. The pool is well done, clean, and cool. Just what the doctor ordered to cool off. We never swam in the sound, but waded in a few times. We saw some dolphins off the dock one morning chasing up some bait fish into the shallows. We were there with three couples and never felt cramped. Easily 2 families of 4 could stay or even 4 couples. When at Casa de Ivy, you felt as if you were in your own personal resort. It was private and the perfect respite from days out and about. The owner was extremely easy to deal with and very accommodating to our needs.

What a wonderful Labor Day weekend we spent with our family at this key largo resort ! this home was exactly what we were looking for ,a great location from our home in Hollywood Florida and a great place to dock our boats .This home had everything that we were looking for ,the greatest dock large enough for our fleet of fishing boat ,ski boat ,and the jet skis too ! The beautiful sandy beach was a hit for the kids and worked perfectly for the wave runners ,kayaks ,and for just swimming .The fire pit was a hit with everyone where each night the gang cooked marshmallow, and watched the fire with the most spectacular view of the moon .A outside shower ,and the perfect pool over looking the most beautiful sunsets that we have ever seen .This was what we ordered and this place delivered it exactly as we wanted .The home had a gourmet kitchen where our wives were at home with cooking for the family each evening .This place was decorated with a casual comfortable style .The kids all had plenty of room with the bunk beds down stairs ,and the older kids spelt upstairs with some of the parents .A great layout that worked for everyone .WE celebrated our daughters sweet 16 birthday with a island style pool party ,while our quests used the boats ,kayaks ,ski boat and the jet skis while the Barbaque cooked the best food .The patio handled the entire crowd of almost 50 people for a amazing beach ,pool party never to be forgotten for the party girl ! WE had a great time from the time we met the property owners til the time we had to check out and head back to our home .This is a great place for multiple families that have kids and want to enjoy the days with all the fun outside the yard with everything in view from this home .We strongly recommend Casa de Ivy ,and we cannot wait til we can return .Brad was so easy to deal with and he explained everything exactly .Visit this casa if you want a vacation of a lifetime !

To Anyone Seeking a Rental Property in Key Largo- This property is a gem. From a private beach, to private pool, to a shower with seven shower heads and all the Florida wildlife you could ask for, this is the perfect getaway for your family or friends. While a guest in this home, I was able to kayak with manatees, fish from the dock, and was even able to spot a 12 foot sawfish! There is a speaker system set up throughout the house which was perfect for hooking up our Ipod to and creating added atmosphere for the family to enjoy while swimming for barbequing delicious seafood. The home owner, was a pleasure to work with and to him our family gives great thanks for allowing us to be his guests in his own personal paradise.

Look no further, you have found a perfect home!!! Absolutely the best setting for a short getaway or a long stay. This home has everything, beautiful piece of property with a private beach, pool, open and secluded at the same time, clean, new, tastefully decorated with a smallest detail thought through. If you like to cook the kitchen has everything from pots and pans, to perfect wine glasses, even all the spices are included. If cooking is not your thing, the owner has a pamphlet with recommended restaurants in the area that are worth your try. The house is very spacious and can accomodate a large party of people and still feel that there is plenty of room. We were 8 adults and 1 child. Had the best time relaxing on the large open patio with comfortable couches and armchairs, watching the most gorgeous sunsets in the world. Fishing was great for the guys, caught yellowtail and tuna for the best dinner on the grill, which we had outside. If you are looking for something a little more special than just a nice house in the Keys, this place is for you. Can not find one negative thing, even if you try...

We stayed here in early April with two families. 5 adults and 4 children total ranging from 6 to 13. We have rented many ocean front homes on VRBO over the years and this one was the highest quality. Brad takes great care of his property and was awesome to work with. I have never worked with a more helpful and accommodating owner. The location was great. Very close to several good restaurants, two grocery stores, shopping, a state park and other activities. The house itself has been recently remondeled completely and finished with high end appointments. The beds are comfortable and the sheets/pillows are high quality. Not the type of stuff you normally get in rental properties. Although the pool looks small in the picutres, it was not as small as it looks and our kids absolutely loved it. Although the beach is not really swimmable, our kids didn't mind as they had plenty of other things to do. They played on the tube in the pool, fished off the brand new dock, and played badminton on the beach. The view was great from both the house and the pool area. There are several great places to sit with a cocktail and read a book as you look out at the ocean. The house is very private as well. To the north you have all mangroves and no homes. To the south you only have the shared boat landing which was rarely used by anyone. Really, you won't be dissapointed with this rental. The only draw back is the lack of a swimming beach as you might find in the Bahamas or other places but you won't find that anywhere in the keys. So, if you are looking at the keys for your vacation, I would look no furhter than this house. Advice for activities - you have to go to Morada Bay Beach Cafe. About mile marker 80 I think. It was good food in a great location. Jimmy Johnsons was average. John Pennecamp State Park was ok but quite busy. Probably just the time of year. Islamorada Fish House was overrated we thought. Go to Robbie's Marina and feed the Tarpin. Very fun and decent small shops around the marina.

This is a lovely house, recently renovated with very high quality materials throughout. Even better than the house is the location, right on the beach, with sunsets directly visible from nearly every room. Best of all is an owner who really cares about both the property and his guests. We looked at quite a number of possibilities for a multi-generation family vacation. The clincher for this home was the very friendly and accommodating owner, Brad. The house is quite large, and easily held our family of five plus four Grandparents. We love to cook, and the kitchen is well-equipped and, while not large, decently sized to handle dinner for nine. Bedrooms are comfortable and well thought out, most having French doors opening to either the main level or the balcony, both of which overlook the bay. The upper level deck is spacious and comfortable. The pool is small but clean and refreshing, not to mention pretty. A brand new dock, firepit, outdoor shower, picnic tables - clearly the owner put a lot of thought into making it a special spot. Speaking of the owner, Brad is really willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. We had one minor maintenance glitch, and he was immediately accessible and promptly got it fixed. It is close to Pennecamp State Park, snorkeling & diving, fishing, grocery stores, and a number of restaurants ranging from fast food to quirky to fairly upscale. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone, unless they want to rent it during one of the weeks we want it...

As a matter of fact, in the 12 years we have been coming down to the keys, this may be the first time we, without reservation, would gladly come back here again. This place is equipped as I would set up my own.

Can't say enough about our week here! This house is set up as I would set up my own. The attention to detail is unparalleled in any stay in the keys I've had in the last 12 years!

My immediate family recently converged upon Key Largo for a week to celebrate my 70th birthday as well as my grand twins 7th birthdays- traveling all the way from San Diego, Tempe and San Jose. Brad's beach home proved to be exactly what we wanted. It was very well decorated and proved to be very functional for our stay. The newly renovated beach house provided a excellent setting for the five grand kids to play and be entertained with the pool and sandy beach. The use of the kayak was quite fun as well, enabling local exploration by water. The parents enjoyed sipping wine and Margaritas on the veranda, while watching incredible sunsets. We all enjoyed a great vacation, wonderful birthday celebrations, and good family time in Key Largo. Brad provided excellent communication and was a great host for our trip. Now, if only the pool was heated.....then perfect. Jack

Owner response: It was a pleasure to me you as well. I am so glad you had a great time on your family vacation, and looking forward to seeing you again. For next winter, the pool will feel like a hot tub. This is already in process.

My family spent Christmas at Casa de Ivy. What a comfortable, quiet, lovely place for the family to spend quality time together. Twelve people can sleep comfortably in this five bedroom, four bath home. The heart of the home is the great room which has a beautiful new kitchen with a hugh island that seats ten. The adjoining living room has that magnificent view of Blackwater Sound. The back yard has a pool with an extremely large deck for sunbathing and a dock to fish from or launch your boat from. With a wall on two sides of the property, a mangrove reserve on another side and the bay on the forth side, you have all the privacy you need. All in all Casa de Ivy makes for a great family get away.

What an amazing family Thanksgiving vacation we had at your home in the Keys. The kids were able to have fun in by the pool, and beach, as my husband and I watched and relaxed. Being able to bring out boat was a huge benefit, as your dock was perfect. We look forward to many more stays at your residence. As your spacious home is comfortable and well laid out.
