Hi Michael: We had a great time in No. Captiva this past week. I believe your condo probably has the best view of the Harbour. Your condo is very lovely and you and your wife have carefully thought out all the things one would need. I carried over salt, garlic and other spices which were already there--next time I will know I don't have to pack all those. I had the best nights sleep I've had in years the first night there--I wanted to bring your queen bed home. LOL!!!! I've had Serta Perfect Sleepers back in the 70-80's. They are great!!! The first night there my 16-yr old grandson started to bring in the fishing gear because of a big storm heading to the Island, and found a goliath grouper which he fought in the storm. Estimated weight at 200 lbs. They lost a lot of 10-12 ft. sharks, caught large stingrays, grouper, redfish, trout and snook. The snook had to be released, as they have seasons in which you can keep. On Monday evening, my 18-yr. old grandson landed a goliath grouper estimated at 364 lbs. Contest was on!!! My son came in Thurs and tried to keep up all night with the kids,....Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

We loved your condo! The new furnishings were 'island perfect!' One of our favorite things to do was to sit on the screened-in porch and watch the birds and boats come and go. The new beds and bedding were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Having the golf cart was great fun, and we learned our way around the island in no time. Everyone on the island was so friendly and we quickly picked up on 'the wave.' The pool was beautiful - clean and just the right amount of shade. We loved the beach; it was an easy walk from the condo. At sunset we would make our way to the west end of the runway where people gathered every night to toast the sunset. We will definitely be back!!! Our week went by too fast!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+.

What a relaxing vacation! The townhome feels just like home (with an awesome view) and island is naturally beautiful. The porch overlooks the harbor where you can see dolphins/manatees swim by every day. That's where I watched the sun rise every morning with my cup of coffee. My daughter named the place "Mermaids View". The townhouse is very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. There is a loft area on the top floor which we used as a 3rd room and the kids gladly claimed it as their own "camping adventure land". We all loved getting around in the golf cart provided. It was exciting and different to get around on the golf cart only dirt roads. Everyone waves as you drive by. How fun is that!? It only takes a day for the neighbors to say hi and get to know you. For the first time EVER I let my kids just run free. I did not have to watch them every second since I felt they were safe. There are some great tanning spots and our favorite was the "Safety Harbor Private Beach". We thought it was the most beautiful one on the island. We enjoyed walking along the beach and collecting shells. There is a trail through a nature conservation area that is great to explore as well. Can't wait until we can return! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful townhome and make memories that will last forever!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Great getaway vacation!! The unit was absolutely like new.. Everything worked as new also!!! The pool area was fantastic.. And the beach was beyond our wildest dream...The pictures don't do justice to being there in person!! We are frequent travelers to the Bahamas and this was like being there with all the safety and services of still being in the US.. Barnacle Phil's was a great place to eat and relax!!! Will be going back again very soon!!! Want to try the reported great fishing!!! Thanks, Mike and Patty!! You were the best!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Why the Owner Chose North Captiva Island:
My wife and I purchased this property because of the beauty of the island as a place to wind down from everyday concerns and totally rejuvinate, both body and mind .We enjoy watching the sunrise over the old fishhouse just outside the harbor, and the sunsets over the gulf,a perfect way to start and end the day.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Personal transportation on the island is limited to walking, biking and golf carts, a golf cart is included in your rental. The beach and pool are just a short golf cart ride from the townhouse. Local calls are free. Cell phone coverage is available, but may be spotty , depending on your provider, we use Verizon and have no trouble finding 2-3 bars of service, especially at the townhouse. It is also wired for broadband internet. A full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and electric tea pot are ready for all your cooking and baking. There are three restaurants on the island, The Pier at the arrival dock, limited hours and dinner reservations are required, Mango's, next to the NCIC, and Barnacle Phil's, just around the harbor.
