Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: Our extended family has summered on Southport Island since 1950. We own several properties on the island and spend as much time as we can up in Maine. When we are not there, we live and work in Connecticut with three boys and one small red dog, Gus.
Why the Owner Chose Southport:
When we open the car doors after our drive up to Maine and breathe in the clean, salty, pine scented air, we know we are home at last.

Our home is very private, yet close to the many activities available in the mid-coast of Maine. We love the solitude, but don't ever feel isolated. We enjoy any outdoor activity, but spend most of our days out on the boat, exploring the islands, coves and ocean rivers all around us.
