The Best Experience Ever!

This was my second Jazz Fest and staying in a house was a MUCH better experience than a hotel. This apartment complex was very charming and accommodating, even the owners/tenants of the other units were friendly and helpful. The first day we arrived we locked ourselves out and an hour later the owner's daughter met us to open the door. The premise was very clean and the pool was inviting although it was too chilly to enjoy. The foliage was spectacular and the kumquat trees and rosemary plants were a plus! I highly recommend this location and can't wait to book it again for next year!

Great place! Excellent location. Clean and comfortable. Had everything you needed. Only problem we encountered was the key to the locked gate did not work properly. Luckily we ran into the maintenance man who gave us his spare key. I would definitely rent here again and recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Great Time and Location

I was there with a handful of guys for a bachelor party. We mostly just used it for a place to crash. Close enough to Bourbon Street that everybody was able to stumble home. All of the beds were surprisingly comfortable, even the pull out couch. I would like to expand on it, but like I said I only used it to sleep, and I barely did that. Would highly recommend this place. Oh had plenty of towels for us. None of us brought even one, Ha.

Fantastic Location!

My group of friends visited New Orleans for a long weekend at the beginning of April. There were six of us and the condo was perfect for us. Other than having to juggle the bathroom usage in terms of showers, it worked perfectly well for our group. The beds were extremely comfortable, which is important. The owner and his daughter were available when we needed them and were very responsive. We only had to call twice for minor issues, but they were very quick to respond and take care of our needs. I would recommend them as attentive owners. The best characteristic of this condo is its proximity to everything in the French Quarter. It was a two minute walk to Bourbon Street and perhaps ten minutes to Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. There was a nearby grocery store as well. No car is needed if you stay in a location like this, since everything in the French Quarter is in walking distance, and the street cars are within a 15 minute walk as well. My group of friends loved the location. It wasn't really hot enough to use the pool, but the courtyard and pool area were lovely. If it were hotter, I am sure we would have enjoyed using the pool, which was very clean. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay and we were pleased with our choice of property. It would work well for a family or group of friends up to six people.

External conditions prevent an "Excellent"

The condo was nicely furnished & stocked & comfortable linens. It is also very centrally located withing walking of all the French Qtr. Parking was a real pain. Since a "resident" parking sticker is not included, street parking had a 2hr. limit during the day. My daughters car got towed & it took over two hours just to find out where it was towed to, then was in a very questionable part of town & cost $178. Also construction was taking place in the same building above us with workers starting at 8a.m. & leaving a ladder right out our front door the whole time. Also very loud "partyer" could easily be heard throughout the night to very early morning...especially in bedroon on street. Again, condo nice, but external circumstances not so much. Also no contact from owner to see if all was well.

Lovely Condo in Great Location

This condo was ideally located for our trip to New Orleans; many of the key sites/restaurants were within easy walking distance, even for my mother [aged 82] who joined us for the week [eg: the French Market, the Mississippi River front, the Cafe du Monde, the Camelia Grill, Jackson Square, the cathedral, Central Grocery, the ferry to Algiers, and so on]. Other spots that we wanted to visit [eg: WW II Museum, Audubon Park, the Garden District] were easily accessible by the trolley system, which is also a short walk from the condo [and so reasonably priced]. Despite the fact that we couldn't get enough of the grilled/charbroiled oysters in the local restaurants [Acme Oyster House or Drago's], we prepared some meals at "home". This was easy as the kitchen is extremely well equipped and two grocery stores are not far away [In fact, they are close enough, that if you realize you have forgotten an ingredient you can pop over to get it.] If you are going to New Orleans for the music, Frenchman St. is also within walking distance - as is the House of Blues. Additionally, a 5 minutes stroll from the condo will bring you to a wide array of impressively talented individuals and groups performing for donations in the French Quarter. We did a lot of walking, so were pretty tired by the end of each day; we were able to rest up well as all of the beds, including the convertible couch, are comfortable and fitted with high count linen. We weren't interested in the Bourbon St. nightlife -- but for those who are, it is literally steps away. There is some street noise on the weekend at night -- but this is only if revellers happen to be making their way up the street from a night out. However, this didn't disturb us in any significant way and otherwise, the condo is a quiet oasis. Overall, we had a wonderful time in the city, which was made even more enjoyable by the fact that we had a lovely condo to which we could go home at the end of each adventure.

My wife and I along with two other couples recently stayed at this condo over Super Bowl weekend. It was an awesome experience! The condo was nice and clean and in a perfect location to walk everywhere in the French Quarter! Ernest was great to deal with and quickly responded to any and all questions that I had. I would recommend anybody to stay here.

Christmas and New Years in the French Quarter

Our family of four adults stayed at this wonderful condo in the French Quarter for the holidays. It was beautifully furnished and bedrooms were a nice distance from each other, affording privacy. The outdoor ammenities were great/patio and pool area and very secure and set back from the street. I would highly recommend this unit for a quiet, safe stay. It was perfect for four people. On site maintenance was very helpful.

WOW!!! This was SUCH a beautiful condo!! Just blocks from all the action, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, FANTASTIC eats and treats too!! The neighbors were friendly too, offering advice on where to go and how to get there. The master bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept in (even compared to 5 star hotels) and nice and dark (no matter what time of day it was) to sleep off the excess imbibages. 3 nights seemed like too many at the time, but I look forward to returning to the condo next time for a week! This was my first time in New Orleans, and the charm of all the homes and shops certainly made me miss my birthplace of Montreal.

The location is perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. We sat out by the pool ine afternoon and it was very relaxing. The neighbors are very nice. The only complaint I had is that the refrigerator worked only sporadically but we had an ice chest and went out for every meal, so this was no much of an inconvenience.

The condo was perfect for the 4 of us. My wife & I and my 79 year old parents. We walked everywhere with 2 exceptions. Taking the Trolley to the Garden District & having a mule & carridge ride (both reccomended). Very well supplied, we stocked up with snacks, breakfast stuff & liquor. Everything else was provided. Everything in the listing was accurate, it was clean and very well maintained. 2 best meals of the week GW Fins & Muriels. Would definately recommend this condo for two couples who want to be really close to the action (but not too close)

A Memorable Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this condo...as some of the other reviewers mentioned, it is even better in person than in the pictures! We went down to NOLA with 8 of our other friends who stayed at other locations within the French Quarter. Our condo was within 3-4 blocks of all of them so it was extremely convenient. We met our friends almost every morning at Cafe Du Monde, and enjoyed the bars both on Frenchman Street and in the FQ...it really is in a great location. The condo itself is extremely clean and comfortable. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in the master bedroom and the king size bed is even more comfortable than our bed at home. Our friend stayed in the other bedroom and he said it was comfortable as well. The kitchen was great, though we ate out most of the time it was really nice having a big fridge housing lots of non-alcoholic beverages to help nurse our hangovers. All in all, it really was one of my favorite vacations. Can't wait to come back!

Three young grandmother's ventured to the Big Easy for six days of vacation. We had the time of our lives. The condo was perfect. Ground level with no stairs to carry heavy suitcases up. Tastefully decorated, very comfortable and located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and entertainment. The condo was stocked so nicely with every appliance or dishware you would need. Even the bathroom towels were plush. The beds were very comfortable including the pull out sofa. After a big day of sight seeing it was so peaceful to return to a our condo with the gas lit courtyard to sit in. A little secluded paradise tucked away from the lively quarter.. Ernest the owner was very nice to work with and responded to emails quickly. This is the place to vacation. It just went by too quickly.

Location, Location, Location. You would not need a car unless you wanted to explore other areas which we did. Very nice, very clean and secure inside a gated area. We were able to find parking every day of our stay on the condo's street or very close by. Owner very attentive and available. Highly Reccomended.

We greatly enjoyed our time in the Big Easy - made best by our stay at Ernest's home. The gas lamp driveway into the garden/pool area really seperates you from the street and of course the quit-ness at night is well worth it. The listing description was spot on - this could comfortably sleep 2 couples plus a sofa which we didn't need to use. The interior was very clean and contemporary. Of course the location is the final reason to stay here - as you are a quick walk to Bourbon street, the park and Frenchman's street. I would highly reccomend staying here.

Long weekend with girlfriends

My 5 girl friends and I came to this cozy, clean condo for a long, comfortable, exciting weekend in the French Quarter, and we got just that! The condo is located less than 2 minutes walking to the bars and restaurants on Bourbon Street. We also found a grocery store about 4 blocks away where we purchased food to utilize the full kitchen equip with pots and pans, this saved us a lot of money on eating out. The property was very well kept and clean, pool was phenomenal and very secluded, we did not see one person outside of our group use it the whole time. I would recommend bringing bug spray, as it is a tropical-like climate. The 6 of us slept comfortably with enough space and the unit was well air conditioned the entire time. We also appreciated the many mirrors throughout the condo which makes it easier for 6 women to get ready! My friends and I are currently planning a trip to come back next year!

A beautiful home in the perfect location!

As long time visitors to New Orleans, we were eager to find a rental property large enough for our family of 6, in a convenient location but away from the noise and "craziness" of Bourbon street. This luxury condo provided exactly that! It was very clean, well-maintained, easy to find, and professionally managed. We loved the fact that so many of the little things (paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, coffee filters, etc) that you might need throughout the week were provided, saving us from having to make a shopping trip immediately upon our arrival. We were disappointed to find that the pool in the courtyard was not clean or swimmable upon our arrival but the owner was quick to remedy this problem and we thoroughly enjoyed the almost complete privacy of this pool for the rest of the week. When we accidentally left a power cord behind when we went home, we were thrilled that the owner took the time to mail it back to us, saving us from having to track down a duplicate. Overall, a beautiful home away from home that we look forward to staying in again!

I loved the location of the condo. I think it looked nicer in person then the pictures from the internet. Everything is in walking distance, no need for a car. If I ever come back to New Orleans I will stay here. Very comfortable place. I have already told my friends about this place.

I cannot imagine a better home base for a New Orleans vacation. This is only steps away from Bourbon Street but in a fairly quiet and beautiful residential neighborhood. We were just so thrilled with our stay! Everything you could ever need was right at our fingertips right down to a sewing kit. Towels and linens were elegant and plentiful. Rooms were beautifully furnished and the beds sooo plush! The courtyard and pool was just amazing as well.So much better than a hotel, pictures do not do it justice. Owners were so nice to work with and offered great suggestions. They even had arrangements for a great place to safely park the car. This was just the place to stay to enjoy the real laid back atmosphere of New Orleans. The neighborhood was safe and handy to everything! We are already planning to go back ! Highly recommended,I can't say enough great things about this place except that I will never stay in a hotel again!

Great Stay in the French Quarter

This clean, updated condo was less than two blocks from Bourbon Street but a world away from the "touristy" feel. Updated and clean, the condo had everything that we needed to feel at home. The area was secure and secluded, yet steps from the best French Quarter restaurants and bars. The owners were professional and accommodating. In fact, they exceeded all expectations after I left several items in the apartment, flying home to the West Coast. They packed them up for me and placed them in the mail...going above and beyond and demonstrating an extra level of concern about their renters. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting New Orleans!

Oasis in the French Quarter

This was my "girls" trip to Nawlins. We've been doing it for almost 15 years, and this is the nicest rental we've stayed in. Actually nicer than pictures show. Clean, efficient, Air worked, great kitchen and tv's, and most comfortable beds ever. We even tried-out the pool, which is not huge, but nice and clean. Location is great for close to action, yet on a quiet residential street (safe). Easily would accomodate 2 couples +...... was perfect for 4 singles as well. Oh, and the best water pressure in the shower I've ever encountered in the quarter ! Highly recommended.

Owner response: This is our vacation home and we want it to be as nice as the one we live in the rest of the year. Thanks Ernest, we had a great time! Myself and 5 friends stayed here 4 nights for a guys trip and the Final Four. The accommodations were great! Perfect location, very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Yes, even for 6 guys! And the owner was more than helpful answering any questions. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a convenient location to The Quarter and Downtown for any occasion.

My family and I stayed in this property, and it was lovely. Great kitchen, plenty of space, very comfortable beds, great location, and very responsive condo owners. With a small child, having a dishwasher and washer and dryer was fantastic. Would highly recommend if you want the flavor of the French Quarter with the convenience of condo living.

I would highly recommend this property. The house was very comfortable, well decorated and very clean. It was nice to be able to get up and have our morning coffee in our PJ'S. It is within walking distance to Burbon Street, Jackson Square, French Market and everything else you want to see in the French Quarter. The court yard is beautiful and we sat out every day. Had a blast!!! The condo is so conveniently located. A block off bourbon. Very comfortable. The condo has that New Orleans charm. This was a great call to stay here. It blew away stating in a hotel. Dear Earnest, Thank You! Thank you for letting us rent your condo. We had a blast. Your condo is perfect for the New Orleans experience, so conveniently located. We had the best home base during the weekend. I was very pleased with the set up and would love to rent from you again in the future. My brother Chris who was with me, asked me for your number because he was interested in getting rates for the Jazz Fest. You will probably be hearing from him shortly

Dear Ernest, We had such a wonderful time. Your condo was everything that you said it was. Also, it was so nice that you had coffee, paper towels , etc. Your condo was clean and the location could not have been better. You were also wonderful to work with. You always answered my calls and my questions. You offer an excellent product, never hesitate to rent it with full assurance that you are offering he best. My family had a time that we will forever be a warm memory-and YES Michigan won! Good l
