Amazing Beaches in this area. A well maintained area for vacationers. We loved the nature trails. The pool was nice, but not heated. The location to the beach was nice. It was just a short walk out from the condo to the beach. The condos were filled with families of all ages. This condo has an amazing view of both the beach and the pool. It was nice to sit on the balcony and read in the morning while watching the pelicans on the ocean. The condo is a close drive to the town of Fernandina. There were some great shops and restaurants. We did a horse and buggy tour of the town that was very interesting. We also did a private boat tour from On the Water Adventures of the backwaters of Amelia Island. The owner of this condo is very attentive and friendly. He provided us with great info. The condo was a roomy 3 bedroom. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. What a great place to spend a week! We've tried other places but Amelia Island is always our favorite. The unit was perfect and the host was more than accomodating. We rented this unit for half of our our group of 12 -- three couples in this unit and three in another unit two doors down. This was defnitely the better unit! Beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished, gorgeous views and everything we needed. We've stayed at the Beachwalker Villas many times. This is probably the nicest unit we have leased. We love the location of the Beachwalker Villas within the Omni Resort property. The pool is lovely with nice covered decks that overlook the ocean -- perfect spot for a picnic lunch. The beach is wide, clean and almost deserted -- just enough people so you don't feel completely alone. There are also very nice grills on the deck near the pool. It's an easy drive to Fernandina for laid-back night life, unique shopping and wonderful restaurants.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband and I have stayed at this condo multiple times with friends, as well as just the two of us. We love Amelia Island, and especially the convenience of this condo. The layout is great for couples or for families, with the large family room and kitchen. It is also has a fantastic view and a short walk to the beach. We love the private pool and the large beach right outside the condo, it is always easy to find a place to sit your chairs and stay for the day. The condo is also very close to a grocery store and local restaurants and shops. Every Friday the plantation offers a Boardwalk Bash with $1 drinks and live entertainment, always fun for the whole family. PLAE is a great restaurant located within the Amelia Island Plantation that I would highly recommend, it is a short walk or a shuttle ride over. We found everything we needed in the condo, the bedrooms were spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It is also nice to sit outside on the balcony at night with a glass of wine and listen to the ocean, very relaxing. The condo is also located right next to a beautiful walking/running/bike trail. The trail runs through all of Amelia Island Plantation and is great for running as it is well shaded the majority of the time.
