Sharps Chapel cabin description
BRAND NEW lakefront cabin 1/4 mile back a secluded cove off the main channel. Complete and ready to rent. Visit www.vacationatnorrislake.com for more info!
Our goal was to build one of the nicest rental homes on Norris Lake. We used some of the best materials and furnishings available to make this a first class experience for our guests. Luxuries such as SLEEPING FOR 18 ON BEDS, INSTANT HOT WATER HEATER (ENDLESS HOT WATER!!!), a separate heating and air conditioning unit on all three main floors, and the list of luxuries goes on and on...
There are so many great things about our home -- see more photos and details at our website listed below. One of the best things about this part of the lake is that it is quiet. Glass-like water is commonplace. THE CHOPPY WATER & BOAT TRAFFIC ON THE DEERFIELD SIDE OF THE LAKE is almost nonexistent on this side.
The home is as close to the water as any home on Norris and is just a short walk down to the dock. It has a very private cove with only a few homes -- none of which are visible from ours. It is easily accessible and boats can launch for free nearby. There is also an area to park your boat trailer on site.
The dock has a huge swim platform and room for at least 2 boats. The cove is very calm and great to swim in for families. It is about 75' deep in the summer and has year round water (~45' winter depth).
TOP FLOOR -- 1 queen room which sleeps 4 and 2 additional large bedrooms -- one with a king bed and the other a queen. There is also a great hardwood floor 'loft' and a private balcony as well as a full, jetted, whirlpool bath.
MAIN FLOOR -- Full kitchen, large great room, master bedroom with king bed and private whirlpool jetted tub, 1/2 bath, and laundry room. Off the main floor is a very large 10'x45' deck -- 1/2 of which is screened in and fully furnished. A large gas grill is also available on that level.
LOWER LEVEL -- 6 bed bunk room and 1 additional bedroom with a queen bed. A full bar with an additional refrigerator, ice machine, large screen TV, and a fully furnished living area including a full bath is also on the lower level. There is a large 10'x45' covered deck (covered by the deck above) off this level.
BASEMENT -- Combination Bumper Pool Table with Poker Top or Dining Top. Electronic Dart Board. Just outside is a brand new 6 person hot tub.
OUTSIDE -- Along with the hot tub there is a fire pit between the house and the lake. A very easy walk down to the lake and boat dock. The boat dock has a ramp with stairs so that the ramp will follow the stairs as the water level fluctuates.
LAKESIDE -- This is truly one of the most peaceful coves on Norris Lake. There is a little point that jets out and protects our dock and keeps the cove very calm. The home sits on a 5 acre lot with nearly 1/4 mile of shoreline with plenty of privacy.
2 PERSON KAYAK (also brand new!) now available free of charge to guests
DOCK -- 3 slips plus a very large swim platform. We will have room for a minimum of 2 boats for our guests.
NEARBY -- We are located about 10 minutes by boat from 33 Bridge and very close to Island F. There is plenty of open water, private coves, or islands to explore just minutes away by boat. For golfers Woodlake GC is a short drive away. The closest full-service marina is Beach Island Marina or Hickory Star -- both about 10 minutes by boat. BUBBA BREW'S restaurant and bar are a lot of fun with live music and karaoke in season. Cumberland Gap is ~30 miles away for those interested in some great hiking and sightseeing.
THIS IS TRULY ONE OF THE BEST VACATION EXPERIENCES YOU WILL EVER HAVE. We have personally rented at Norris Lake for several years before deciding to build our own dream home. We are very familiar with the lake as well as the other rental properties and can assist you in finding the perfect place for your next vacation.
We hope you choose our place and please do not hesitate to contact us for additional information. We will update the site with new photos as we progress so keep posted but don't wait too long to reserve your stay. The good lakefront homes get booked up very quickly.
BEST OF ALL YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE BOAT TRAFFIC & CHOPPY WATER ON THE DEERFIELD SIDE OF THE LAKE AGAIN!

Just returned from vacation with our family of 20! We had a fabulous time! This is a great house, set up for multiple families where there is plenty of space. We loved the location on Norris. In a quiet cove which was great for swimming. Then close to the marina where we could rent a pontoon and gas up. The kitchen is so well stocked. Beds were comfy too! We wanted to thank you for allowing us to share your home. Truly it was an awesome time! Kevin & Angie

Our family and friends just returned from our stay at Eagles Rest. We all agreed that this home is amazing. This home is high quality all way! The owners did not cut corners anywhere. This is a high quality built home with attention to details. Even the sheets and linens are top of the line. Plenty of room on the dock, and the best thing is SUNSHINE sun up til sun down! Good job, Talghers!

Home was even better than presented. Everything we needed was available and in good condition. Excellent for children and teenagers. Very quite and private cove. Used two marinas close by and both easy to work with. Caught bass and small fish from dock. Saw bald eagle from water. Very comfortable home.m

We didn't want to leave this house!
We didn't want to leave this house!
Our extended family has stayed in many large vacation homes and this was one of the best. From the appliances to the bedding, from the decor to the furnishings, from the silverware to the dock, everything was top quality. The kitchen and bar are stocked with all the tools necessary and ample seating to eat all your meals at home. The bed linens and bath towels were top quality. The outdoor shower made it nice to rinse off after the hot tub or lake or just rinse your feet before entering the house. The open floor plan allowed our large group to stay connected, while the different levels allowed for privacy and down time. It also allowed the kids to safely hang out on their own. This home is ideal for 4 families with kids that love the water. Even with a week of scattered showers and a house full of kids from 8 to 20, nobody got bored when rain kept us from boating all day. Instead the kids enjoyed a full day of the hot tub, bumper pool, darts, poker, cards, monopoly, video games and smoothie 'bartending.' The uncrowded lake made it easy for my kids to learn to water ski and knee board. The cove offered a secluded setting for safely swimming off the dock, kayaking and birding. I saw my first bald eagle and its nest, several great blue herons and other shore birds. We saw frogs and lizards and turtles and lots of jumping fish. We caught a large catfish. The outdoor porches were nice to take in the outdoors without walking down to the dock. I recommend arriving in daylight and with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The hills of eastern Tennessee make the back roads steep and windy. Bring all the food and supplies you'll need for the week. You won't want to leave this place!

Great lake destination!!
Great lake destination!!
We had a fantastic time, what a wonderful location. The house has all the comforts of home without being home (including wi-fi). It is fully furnished and all we needed to bring was food and clothes for the week. Be careful on the roads getting back to the house and have the passengers look up to see the Bald Eagle's nest on the right. The driveway is steep but well worth it when you see how close to the lake it is. That was nice considering how much we used the dock for swimming, fishing and boating. The water temperature was great and even comfortable to be in during the rain. But the rain did not ruin our trip when we couldn't boat because the house was big enough for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. The kids stayed occupied with the video games and playing Monopoly, bumper pool, darts and cards. Sleeping arrangements were great and the kids loved the bunk rooms. When the clouds parted and the sun came out, we hit the lake and seldom saw another boat. It was like we had the whole lake to ourselves. Hated to leave.
