  We had a nice vacation in your rental. It was perfect for us, clean, and like you advertise cute and cozy. I liked having lots of dishes and the new stove is really nice. I was so nice to get away from the cold and BBQ in the backyard. We will be back, hopefully next year.

  Dear Agnes, My husband & I just wanted to tell you we had a great time at the Unit 3 trailor. Sorry we didn't personally say goodbye because we left on Saturday early. We drove straight to ***** to stay overnight on our way to *****. It was a 10 hour drive. But our stay @ Venture Out was really nice. We had a good time.   The owners are sweet and easy to work with! The house though needs updating.Everything was clean when we arrived,but the master bedroom was much to be desired.The airconditioner sounds like your taking off in an airplane which makes it hard to sleep,with out it you cant get any air.The bed is rock hard and there is hardly no extra room to even put your luggage.The refridgerator would only work on and off and we never could get the freezer to freeze the kids ice cream.We did call the owner because the coffee pot wouldnt work and he brought another right over.Very sweet,I didnt have the heart to tell him the old one he brought didnt work either and was full of mold.The pool and grounds are pretty,but not friendly to kids at all.You can not even have a bottle of water in pool area?? Not a good place to rent if you have kids and want them to have fun.But in spite of these few things,the price is cheap and we enjoyed are time on the keys!

  Owner response: First, I wish to apologize that I had to go out of town on a family emergency during your stay. As far as updating, we are doing that each year. Economics are such that we can't do it all at once, but I'm sure you enjoyed the brand new bathroom, updated kitchen, and new flooring. When it comes to beds, everyone has different preferences, and many of our renters have loved the firm bed. As for the AC, that is a new unit, but a previous renter had damaged the casing to where it was vibrating, hence the noise. There were 2 coffee makers in the unit. Being those fancy models, the time has to be set before they operate. I tested them and was relieved to see that they worked. I have also made ice in the freezer so I'm not sure what the problem was there (sorry kids:)). The resort rule to have no food or drinks by the pool is to prevent ants. There are some picnic tables right by the fenced pool where you are allowed to have them, over by the showers. I'm sorry you had those issues and wish you had mentioned them all while here and given us a chance to rectify them. Thank you for your business.

  I have been going to the keys for 15 years, I love the Cudjoe Summerland area. This rental was extremely dirty..Under couches had piles of dirt old hair curlers and baby toys.The matresses are worn down so bad they are falling through the frames. There is mold on the living room ceiling. The shower curtain is ripped and falling down. The air conditioners can't keep it cool plus the breaker blew then no air at all. The towels and sheets brought in smell like cigarettes..I was sadly disapointed..Venture out it's self is a wonderful place the people who work there are great..

  Owner response: This renter arrived a day early without warning. When we went to clean and prepare the unit, the place was littered with empty beer cans, broken beer bottles, huge iceboxes and other things. We could barely walk in to clean. We did the best we could around the renters' belongings. Previous renters have complimented us on how comfortable the beds are. The livingroom ceiling paint is off color, it is not mold. The shower curtain: there is a brand new one in the bathroom cabinet. The ACs (3 of them) cool fine if you close the windows and the outside doors. After these renters left, the place was left with full trash bags everywhere. Obviously, the trash had not been taken out during the whole week they stayed. Some of it was bagged... more or less. All our renters have my home and cell phone numbers. They are posted in the unit. I encourage people to call me for anything that is needed. There was no calls from these renters. It is interesting that there was no indication of any slight problem until this review was posted... and after I generously issued a full refund of the deposit, not charging for the extra cleaning.

  Dear Agnes.... My wife and I wanted to let you now how much we enjoyed staying in your vacation cottage. Everything was as you'd said it would be and the resort amenities were also easy to use. Now that we're back in New England, we're wishing we had extened our stay there. Most likely, we'll be planning and contacting you in the near future about returning again next year....
