  Property is on 2nd floor so don't take anything you can't carry up or down stairs. Very quiet with nice neighbors - be prepared to see your neighbors when you sit out on your balcony. Great snorkling beach within walking distance and owner has everything you need. Only complaint was my 6:30am wake up call every morning by the local roosters - right outside the bedroom window. Ate most of our dinners at the restaurants in the nearby shopping center and of course had an ice cream cone for dessert! Played a lot of golf and did some sight seeing. We had been to Kauai several times before so didn't need to repeat to many of the tourist areas but a drive up to Wiamea Canyon is always special. Would definitely stay there again.

Although our unit has been completely remodeled to up to date features, the complex was built approximately 45 years ago, therefore the open lanais. Additionally, the island loaded with roosters, and at times they act as an alarm clock, but this situation is not unique to Prince Kuhio. The other issue is that individuals continue to feed them, which is prohibited at Prince Kuhio. Alan

  Nice place, fully enjoyed our stay. Only draw back was the water quality. It tasted "musty" to me so for drinking, coffee etc we bought and used bottled water.

  Our family vacation on Kauai was nothing short of perfect. My husband and I had taken our honeymoon on Kauai 17 years ago, and we wanted to take our daughters back with us.The four of us found Prince Kuhio to be the ideal location on Poipu. It was literally a one-minute walk to the renowned Beach House restaurant on Lawai Beach where we had an incredible dinner watching the sunset; Lawai offered the *best* snorkeling we found on the entire island. The turtles and variety of fish we found at that beach alone prompted us to rent a digital camera/video, which our daughters loved. Monk seals were on the beach almost daily. We could easily pop back to the condo to grab something or have a quick bite to eat. In addition to having quick access to a wonderful snorkel spot and great beach, we never had to deal with the traffic and horrible parking like at Brennecke's Beach and farther east on Poipu. This was more low key, and not as filled with tourists. The condo shares a covered parking garage with a few other condos, and we never had to worry about a hot car or where we were going to park. The complex is older, and not fancy or over-the-top, but it has obviously been redone pretty recently and it was well landscaped, had no road noise, and was privately situated. We had a nice view of the shore and water from the balcony off the bedroom, and the breeze was non-stop. One night, we heard native Hawaiian chants/calls from what we discovered were the native hula dance group practicing in Prince Kuhio Park, which was off the balcony. It was wild and really thrilling to hear! We have two teenage daughters, and they shared the pull-out in the living room. The layout of the condo allowed us all to have space, and the kitchen was well-appointed with everything you could ask for. Beach chairs, coolers, etc. were all in the closet, and it was easy to do the laundry, which we did a lot! The furnishings are all tasteful and tropical, and the artwork (by the owner!) is gallery-worthy and adds a lovely touch to the condo. Nice tile floor kept things cool. If you don't mind sharing a bathroom, and it is through the bedroom, this cannot be beat in terms of price, location and quality. The owner takes exceptional care of ensuring guests are more than comfortable. The photos show the condo exactly! VERY clean! We were close to restaurants and Old Koloa Town and groceries, and far away from the giant hotels and strip malls. PERFECT! We would stay here again, without a doubt

  I loved Kauai What a beautiful island! This condo is a reflection of that beauty. It is a clean, well-maintained, beautifully decorated unit that met all my family's needs. We hated to leave. The grounds and pool area look like a botanical garden with so many different flowers and plants. My son liked to feed the fish in the pond in the park next door. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings. It is peaceful because it overlooks the park. The condo is centrally located to many activities. Many come to watch sunsets from the grounds of the restaurant across the street. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions I had before my trip. My family would definitely stay here again.

  This is my third rental using VRBO and this has been the best unit thus far. The condo is in great condition and in a great location, being just steps away from one of the best snorkelling areas on the island. All beach supplies and any further amenities you may require are provided. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in away from my own house, and the furnishings, artwork, and cleanliness were outstanding. What a luxury to be able to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean coming in from the lanai every night! We were truly heartbroken to have to leave both the island and the rental and would return in a second if we could!

  We stayed 2 glorious weeks at this wonderful condo and found it to be home away from home! I particularly loved the owners original artwork. The condo was extremely well stocked with everything, and I mean everything we needed. Even the pots and pans where excellent. Yes, we did some cooking! The grounds where beautifully maintained .The beach across the street next to the Beach House Restaurant was awesome snorkeling, the old Koloa town was one of my favs on island, and great activities near by. We loved, loved our vacation and would stay there again. Aloha

  When my husband and I started looking for a place to stay during our vacation in Kauai, we made sure to look for a condo that would not only be comfortable for us, but close to the beach as well. This unit had all that and SO much more....not only was it well stocked with the necessary supplies for the beach, bathroom, and kitchen, but it is also just steps away from the beach! The condo made our stay so easy and relaxing, just like we were at home! Speaking of comfort, the mattress was pure heaven! We look forward to our next visit to Kauai and will be sure to reserve this condo again. Thank you for having it available!
