If you want to be in a pleasant, comfortable space in a delightful neighborhood – quiet, but convenient to everything - then this is your home-away-from-home. It is an elegant, comfortable one bedroom apartment, with a large living/dining room, a complete kitchen with a little bar area extending into the living room, a bedroom with a very large bed – 180x195, and a bathroom with a full tub with a shower.
The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator and freezer, sink, electric stove top and oven, a clothes washer, dishwasher, coffee pot, tea kettle, glasses, dishes and flatware, pots and pans. There is a telephone, TV, high-speed internet access and WIFI. The telephone service includes free calls to fixed phones throughout Europe and North America. We supply sheets and towels. The apartment is cleaned before you arrive and after you leave.
You must pay a visit – or an early morning jog, late afternoon picnic or just a stroll at any time – to your local Park Monceau. The wonderful rotunda at the entrance is just two minutes from your door. Jocularly called ‘La Folie de Chartres’ at its conception, it was established in 1769 by the Duke of Chartres, Phillipe d’Orleans and designed by the French painter and architect Louis Carrogis Carmontelle to be a ‘jardin a l’anglaise’. There is a wonderful history to this park, which has been an inspiration to Claude Monet, Hector Berlioz and Frederic Chopin, among many others.

Year Purchased: 2004
Frankly, I never thought I'd end up living in Paris but - you see, I met a man. On a ski trip - Alps - chalet - fireplace - well, it's been ten years. I can't give you the complete insider's guide to Paris yet, (I believe that takes three generations) but I can give you an ex-New Yorker's guide to this fabulous City of Lights. Our first studio was my husbands - that's where we lived once we decided to share a continent. We were there until our son was about negative-one-month old, and we didn't want to have to convert the bidet into a bassinet. Once we moved, I started renting out that apartment and everything fell into place. As an architect, I love fixing up the apartments, and as an ex-pat, I love meeting the people who come to enjoy their vacations in Paris.
