Lakeside Deck - Traverse City, MI - Michigan Vacation Rental - Enjoy Great Fishing & Sleeping Bear National Park Enjoy the call of the loons from the deck of this cute, one room efficiency cottage located on peaceful Little Platte Lake, Honor, Michigan in the heart of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Spacious outside attached deck overlooks the lake with a private dock and 14 ft. rowboat included. Located on a great fishing lake,(bass, perch, blue gill, catfish, and northern pike) the cottage has a nice yard with a picnic table, charcoal grill, and bonfire pit. The eastern end of the Lake is a State Forest and wildlife preserve. Cottage is within 2 miles of a secluded white sand beach at Lake Michigan in the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. 1.5 miles to the Platte River for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. 10 miles to the quaint harbor town of Frankfort, Point Betsie Lighthouse, and Sleeping Bear dunes. Towns of Honor and Beulah, restaurants and shopping, within 5 miles. 23 miles to center of downtown Traverse City. Small, but very clean and cheerful. The kitchen is fully-equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, drip coffee maker, ceiling fan and Cable TV. No telephone service but all Cell phones work fine. Nice clean bathroom with shower. Towels and bedding are not provided. A new Flex-Steel pillowtop mattress queen-size sofabed sleeps two adults very comfortably with a rollaway bed available for third person.
