I can't say enough wonderful things about the Paia Inn. My wife and I stayed from Christmas Eve to New Years Eve in the 1BR guest house. The guest house is about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. It felt so luxurious to have an entire house to ourselves. We used the private backyard, the hot tub and the grill. In fact, when we first tried to use the grill we noticed it was dirty and had no propane. When I called the front desk, they apologized and sent a couple guys over. I thought they might come clean it but they brought over a brand new propane grill! The breakfasts were fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the accommodations were perfect. Oh, and they have their own private beach, which we visited every day. When we left, we forgot our cell phone near the beach. I emailed the front desk from the airplane, and they looked for it, found it, and said they'd ship it to me.
