  Larry's Lazy Susan was as described and more. We were a family of five and we all had plenty of space to do our own thing and not feel crowded or on top of one another. The elevator makes it extremely easy to get all your luggage up to the top floor bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and enjoy as a family, the ice maker came in handy everyday and is an added plus. This house is located on one of the most beautiful parts of the beach, the sand is so soft and you melt away the moment you step off the last step and settle in for a day at the beach. The mornings are amazing to either sit on the deck or inside to just watch the fishing boats go by and to watch the dolphins as they play. The house is in a nice quite area and is easy to get to, our stay was amazing and we all agreed this was one of the best vacations any of us had been on. There was only one minor thing but it in no way took away from our time at the beach, the beach chairs were broken and in need of repair so we had to take the bigger chairs down on the beach, again not a big issue. The owner is very nice and pleasant to work with and will call upon your arrival to make sure your stay is going well and offer suggestions on things to do and see which is very kind and helpful. The home is very clean and well maintained just as described, I would and have recommended this home to friends and family. I know that we will be coming back to this slice of heaven again and we cant wait!

The sand is very soft and the location on the beach is away from the crowds. We will look at replacing some of the beach chairs that are rusty and broken. These are difficult to keep in good shape due to the salt and sand. We provide these as a convenience to our guests along with beach toys, buggie boards, umbrellas and charcoal grilles. We do try to call our guests shortly after arrival to make sure everything is in order. Please do come again, Thanks, Larry

  I've looked at so many houses up and down the coast of NC. I've rented more than my share. However, "Larry's Lazy Susan" has been the best by far! First, it is super duper clean... I mean CLEAN! That is always the first and most important thing. The beds are comfortable. It is nicely decorated. The elevator makes access a breeze for everybody. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. (I still miss the ice maker.) The location is perfect...very quiet. The water comes right up to the steps during high tide. Not your typical rental. Owners are great to work with...very nice people. I have a restaurant recommendation >>>> Go to Cheri's! It's clean and the food is so fresh! Service is great....Food is great!

The other ones, elevator, ice maker, wireless internet, televisions, well equipped kitchen, dining areas with wonderful views and the beach which is extremely close provides we hope a great vacation experience (Larry's Lazy Susan Experience).   Enjoyed our week at Larry's Lazy Susan. We had a mixed bag of weather, sunny and wind, rain and wind, and unseasonably cool some days, but we had fun! The house is in a great location for shopping or dining in either Surf City or Sneads Ferry. Pizza from Long Island Pizza-great, shrimp from Sears Landing -good and we found dining at Batson's Gallery had the freshest seafood of all. The house had a well stocked kitchen and a dining table with a view. The furniture very comfy, especially the recliner where I sat and enjoyed reading novels provided by the owner. I am in a wheelchair and depend on it for complete mobility and found this house to be very manageable. My wheel- chair is 24" wide and this size worked well in the house. The owner has added a small ramp from the den onto the deck and this was very appreciated. The deck is so close to the ocean it was almost like being on the beach which was great for this amputee. The elevator is well maintained and another great benefit. We are retired and travel a good bit and this has been one of our favorite places to stay.

The kitchen and dining area has great views of the ocean and the sound. Glad the house worked well for you and the wheelchair, we have tried to make the house as accessible as possible and appreciate your feedback on accessibility. The elevator is wheelchair accessible and with the beach deck accessible provides the opportunity to enjoy the sights, smell and sounds of the beach and ocean. • Relaxing Time!

  While the weather did not cooperate, we thoroughly enjoyed the proximity of Larry's Lazy Susan to the ocean. The view from the house is spectacular. The layout of the main level is perfect for everyone to move around freely. We enjoyed playing cards and using the lazy Susan to move the deck around. Much of the home has been updated, and the master bedrooms (both upstairs and down) were particularly nice. Larry was easy to work with, and we appreciate him opening his lovely property up to us.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our views of the ocean and sound are probably as good as you get. The house is very open which does contribute to the great views and is very close to the beach.   This house and location was perfect! Just what my entire family needed! The home is very well maintain and everything is just as described, so no need to simply repeat all that. Larry and his wife's personal touch is what really sets this home apart. His recommendations were excellent, from the fresh food at Surf City Crab to how to look for shark teeth at the beach. He made us feel at right at home. We hope to be back next year!

  Larry's Lazy Susan is a modern, but cozy vacation home on gorgeous Topsail Island. The kitchen and living areas share a panoramic view of the beach. The deck out back (literally steps from the ocean) was a perfect place to have an early cup of coffee, and watch the sunrise. The grocery store, and several delicious restaurants are just minutes away. My chocolate lab was a welcome guest as well! It was definitely worth it, and we can't wait to go back!!

Our house is located on a residential street away from the main road which also puts it very close to the beach with in a few steps. Glad you liked the views, our virtual panoramic photo tour on the website provides a good idea of what to expect when you arrive. We do welcome pets and hope their owners and pets have a special time on the beach together.   This was our first annual sister's beach weekend and we really enjoyed staying at this property! It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we loved the convenience of the elevator! The deck could use new chairs, but other than that we loved our stay! Larry was very easy to work with and called to check-in with us to see if we were comfortable and had any questions.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I do try to call to check on our guest's after arrival to make sure everything is acceptable. The house is comfortable and the elevator is very convenient especially with luggage. I will look at adding some deck chairs in addition to the two picnic tables. With the wind blowing off of the ocean, deck furniture is difficult to maintain.   This was a perfect vacation home for me and my 7 friends! We all had so much space to move around and plenty of privacy. The house is well taken care of and makes you feel like you are in a very luxurious home. Careful of the spiral staircase, 5 out of the 7 of us all bumped our heads, 1 left a mark though... (Would not recommend for young children for this reason) Perfect to go during the off season, as we had the entire beach to ourselves! My male aussi-shepard took it upon himself to ensure all birds were cleared from "his" section of the beach... I enjoyed this, of course, more than you can possibly imagine! And The elevator was remarkably quite! The only negative thing I have at all to say is that the shower head in the master bathroom (downstairs) was a little bent out of shape but that's a fairly inexpensive thing to fix (hopefully) and all the other bathrooms were great! Had an amazing stay and would definitely love to return during the summer or fall months

  Owner response: Teresa, glad you had a wonderful time, the beach this time of year is very secluded which one would expect, but even in the summer there are less people than most beaches. We try to keep the house in excellent condition for our guest's and we do have a lot of room with great views. The spiral stair is loved by the children but can be a head bumper if not careful. No one has had any serious damage that I know. We some times position a chair underneath to prevent head bumps. Everyone seems to love the elevator and is very quiet. We will fix the shower head which is a minor repair. Thanks for the review and please do come back again, Larry

  This oceanfront home was everything you would want it to be. Pet-friendly and handicapped accessible were two things we had to have. My husband and I were searching for a beachfront cottage to visit with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren in Sneads Ferry during the Christmas holidays. It was a perfect get-a-way but felt like home with all the accessories. The ocean was literally at our front door during high tides and the morning and evening sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! One day during the week we had tornado warnings and saw a storm develop over the ocean! For nature lovers, it was a sight to see. The elevator saved many a step for loading and unloading and for our 2 disabled sons. We will definitely be back one day soon!

The ocean can be very close to the steps at high tide but plenty of beach at low tide. The views are spectacular especially when there is a a storm over the ocean. The elevator provides accessibility to all floors which is extremely helpful. We have had alot of guests that really appreciate this feature and a few in wheelchairs as well.   Everything was as good or better than described. The location of the house is perfect. It's such a quiet street with very little traffic at all, yet it is close to everything you need. The house is beautifully furnished and very spacious. The only problem we had was "Hurricane Sandy" which skirted up the coast while we were there. But even with that, we caught fish and saw dophlins several times. I don't want to recommend the house until we get our vacation booked in for next year, and we can't do that until my son and daughter lock in their vacations for next year. But I would highly recommend the house to everyone. It is perfect!!! and we had a great time even with the bad weather for part of the week.

The location is great being off the main road, which provides for a more private beach experience and less traffic. We try to provide all the amenities that one would expect at the beach including beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The house is large enough for a large family or several smaller families. Sorry you had to deal with Sandy but glad it was not too bad. Fishing and watching the dolphins are great pastimes to enjoy in our backyard.
