My husband, 18-year old daughter and myself stayed in this apartment and loved every minute! It is in an historic building with all the modern conveniences. As it is in the middle of the historic center, we were able to walk everywhere. The concierges, Giuseppe and Salvatore, were quite helpful with questions we had from how to get to the Via Appia Antica to where to deposit our trash and recyclables. It was so nice to be greeted by them every morning when we would leave for the day and upon returning in the evening. The courtyard of the building is very pretty and the apartment itself is stunning. It's full of antique furniture and silver. I especially liked the layout of the apartment. The master bedroom and bathroom on one side of the apartment, the second bedroom and bathroom on the other side. We only had breakfast at home as there are a multitude of restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias just outside. It would have been easy to cook though as the kitchen is very well stocked. Susanna is an extremely nice person and very easy to work with. I let her know what time our train was arriving into Rome. She was waiting at the apartment when we arrived, taking time to go over how all the appliances worked, where to eat, etc. It was also great to have many items supplied such as soap, toilet paper, water, coffee, etc. We didn't need to dash to the store. Though that is a very easy task as there is a Carrefour Express market just a few doors down that is open every day until 9 p.m. I would also like to mention that I am dumbfounded with the awful review just prior to mine. I cannot understand how they were so unhappy with the apartment and Susanna. I absolutely disagree with what the reviewer posted. I would recommend this apartment to friends and hope to return myself again before too long!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We were disappointed with this apartment. It is in shabby condition and is not as described. Pillows under the couch cushions to prevent sagging make it lumpy and uncomfortable. There is NOT 24 hour concierge service. Upon arrival, while being given a tour of the property, I asked how to run the A/C and was told it is broken. That was not true. The owner just didn't want to pay for us to use it. Can't sleep with the windows open as it is too noisy. Luckily, she was lying and I found the remote to the A/C hidden in the tool drawer in the kitchen. My asthma would not have been very happy that she advertises A/C and then refuses to allow it's use. And doesn't offer compensation on the rent even though it's not what she advertised. The two twin beds are one twin trundle. And when you pull out the trundle, you can't close either the bathroom door or the bedroom door. I took pictures to upload here to show, but there is no place to do so. Also when I got there, the owner only had two beds made up and ready. I had emailed her upon booking and told her we were three women on a girls trip. She assumed two of us would want to sleep together and was upset that we wanted use of the third bed. Luckily I insisted, because she had locked up the sheets to prevent use of the beds!! She was very defensive towards us and we were afraid she was not going to give us our deposit back, although she did. My husband initially came to the apartment with us, as he was travelling home before us, and his flight out had been delayed. She wanted to charge us for a fourth person even though I kept telling her he was leaving. She must have spoken to the doormen about this, because they questioned us every day about where was our fourth person. I kept having to explain that he had left. If there had in fact, been 24 hour concierge service, they would have seen him leave and would have known this. The master bedroom bed is the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The shower is so small you have to turn it off to wash your hair. The freezer has a shutoff button unusual to Americans. It took us forever to figure out the freezer wasn't broken - just turned off. The list goes on. I wouldn't rent here unless it was the last place in all of Rome. Beware.Owner response: I read this review and for the first time since I rent the house I was amazed by the wickedness of the people. So far I have only received rave reviews in contrast to the latter in full very little true I think that these people were angry because they had the wrong time of arrival, other than the one written in the mail, and then they did not find me waiting for them because I was still on the train. So when I met had an ugly face and looked at me angry. The mistake was theirs and not mine. I keep the email where they tell me the time of their arrival. They wrote that I have given wrong information about the service doors. It is not true and if you read it right the first mail response to their requests, it was written that the service was 12 hours. I never said that A / C was broken but that being outside temperature of 18 -20 degrees and was expected bad weather and a drop in temperature, as was the case then, I thought I did not serve it to work. He never said have asthma. Anyway, I've never hidden nor the remote nor the operating instructions of the 'A / C. The first was in the drawer in the kitchen and the other was on the table along with all the other instructions in a specific book clearly visible. If I wanted to hide I would put both of them in some locked cupboard. So much so that the unit has been safely used They had to be three people and instead were 4. If I had known I would have prepared before the fourth bed. I was only sorry for this and I did not say anything. The price for three or four has always been exactly the same. Evidently they felt guilty because I do not understand how they could think that I returned it to them the damage deposit that is a different story. It 's just a year rent and certainly that I can improve and we welcome the constructive advice but these comments are not true and I seem to only the outbursts of anger undeserved. Fortunately all the other people who have written on the website or in the book of house staff are beautiful people I have had the pleasure to meet and to keep in contact. Obviously there are various types of people that use this service and I understand that it can happen that someone is very different from all the other people .

I stayed at this beautiful apartment during the first week of April. I was part of a party of three adults. We found Suzanna very easy to deal with during the "information" stage, she always responded promptly to our questions. The apartment's layout was perfect for us, the two bedrooms/bathrooms are separated by the kitchen,dining/living room, thereby giving each area much privacy. The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, bright and situated very well for walking all over. We loved the street for its fun shopping, eating and grocery stores. There is a conveniently located taxi stand, just five minutes away. There are also many banks and ATMs located within a short walk. We felt especially welcomed by the plate of fresh cookies that Suzanna provided. Enjoy your stay!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had a terrific stay in this very comfortable and perfectly located apartment, with every amenity--including a very warm and kind owner and friendly, helpful building concierges. The building is lovely, the apartment is quiet, and the neighborhood is filled with all the restaurants and shops you could need. We were there during the election and installation of the new pope--the apartment is an easy 5 minute walk to the Vatican, and 5 minutes into the Campo de' Fiori in the other direction. I'm almost reluctant to post this...I'd like to keep it my own secret! Grazie Mille, Susanna!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This quiet apartment, with a gracious and helpful owner, proved a wonderful base for our two-week stay in Rome. You can walk practically anywhere in the city from the apartment, but for more far-flung locations, bus stops and a bus hub are close by. There is a nearly non-stop grocery store a few minutes away, open until 9:00 every night, which makes it easy to use the well-equipped kitchen. The building is secure and the concierges were helpful and friendly. We ditto the comments below and would certainly return and recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in Susanna’s apartment. It offers the best of both worlds – a haven of quiet and calm overlooking an internal gated courtyard, yet perfectly situated in the historic area of Rome on a very safe and lively side-street, lined with small unique shops, cafes and restaurants - and even a convenient Carrefour supermarket. The apartment is located within easy walking distance of many sites and attractions (such as Piazza Navona, Vatican City, Castel Sant’Angelo, Pantheon and Campo de Fiori). We also enjoyed walking to the Capitoline Hill, Colosseum & Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and other monuments, passing many small piazzas and fountains on the way. The apartment itself is very pleasant, clean, comfortable and well equipped; the friendly owner, Susanna, who met us on our arrival, oriented us regarding the apartment and area, and answered all our questions. As previously mentioned, the concierges were also very amicable, and managed to convey directions etc., despite a lack of English. We highly recommend the apartment and would be happy to return there again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Clean, comfortable, well appointed, safe, exactly as seen in the photos. Great for us and our adult son. Suzanne was wonderful; spent time with us to explain the great neighborhood, the restaurants and customs during the holidays. We would definitely stay at the apartment again and look forward to returning in the warm weather. Thanks Suzanne for everything. This is a well-appointed apartment in a great location in the historic center. The street has many restaurants and shops and is within easy walking distance to Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and the Pantheon. The building is up-to-date and well maintained. While the portieres speak only a little English, they were very helpful. The owner Susanna welcomed us and helped orient us to the apartment, the building and the neighborhood. We would definitely stay in this apartment again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

4 of us stayed in this apartment and were very comfortable. It is close to EVERYTHING! We were able to walk to all the major attractions, Rome is amazing! Great restaruants nearby and a coffee shop just downstairs. Susanna was a fantastic hostess. We were delayed at the airport due to lost luggage for several hours. She waited for us and greeted us with a smile (even though we caused her to miss her train). I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a secure and comfortable apartment in the heart of Rome. Thank you Susanna!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
