Mediterranean style villa in Punta Leona resort area with expansive ocean views. This fabulous home is located in the central, pacific side of Costa Rica on the gulf of Nicoya, 1.5 hours from the San Jose airport.
Punta leona is a gated private community surrounded by a national forest of 400 acres of beautiful scenery and luscious Costa Rica central region tropical weather. The pacific ocean's excellent climate has warm temperature for swimming year round, ranging from 80 to 90 degrees fahrenheit. Monkeys and iguanas walk around adding charm and fun all around you.
Playa blanca is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica is a 2 minutes drive from the house or a 15 minute walk. The beach offers great snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and a fully staffed restaurant on site.
There are resort activities for the family including tennis, zip lining and a butterfly farm. Two large pools for kids and adults to enjoy! A full bar with food service is located at the pool area.
The area provides fantastic wildlife viewing (iguanas, scarlet macaw, monkeys, raccoon, pelicans, turtle nesting). There are three nature trails within the resorts private rainforest.
It’s a short 20 minutes drive to the town of Jaco where you will find the likes of local bars and restaurants offering fine “tico” food, gift shops, and surfing lessons at the nearby beach. There are also plenty of tour operators in town that arrange everything from horseback rides on the beach, to some excellent off shore sport fishing and sea kayaking.
The home features a full newly updated kitchen with all the needed appliances, including dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker and microwave. A new set of pots, pans and utensils is there to bring joy to your cooking there is a spacious open floor living room and dining room that leads to the open terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast or dinner as you look out at the beautiful pacific ocean and Playa Blanca beach! A large gas grill is on the terrace for your use. A/c and ceiling fans as well, cable tv, and high speed internet.
The home has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths plus a full bath off the pool deck. The home sleeps up to 10. The master bedroom features a king sized bed, private bathroom with whirlpool tub and walk-in closet, office and balcony. There is air conditioning in all of the bedrooms and living areas.
Just off the master bedrooms terrace is a private pool and open deck with stunning views of the ocean. A private bathroom complete with shower is located just off the deck.
The entire property has just been completely painted, a new pool was just installed and lots of updated lighting. Fully stocked with new linens and everything you would expect for a comfortable luxurious stay.
Located 1 hour from Juan Santamaria international airport and the newly developed area of Escazu and Santa Ana, for those who want to shop. Just 2 hours to Manuel Antonio.
Parking: there is a two car garage attached to the home.

We stayed at this property last weekend with my husband`s family (we were a party of 8 adults, 2 children and my one year old baby). The house is big and confortable. Great location, so near from San Jose. The views from the deck were breathtaking, the best I`ve seen from other experiences. I will definitely recommend this house and hopefully will be going soon, this time with my family!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.
