Cozy, quiet, and convenient. Our 'Sunshine House' is waiting for you! This historic-style 'miner's home' honors the proud tradition of the Silver Valley.
Only 3 blocks from I-90 and 1/2 mile to the Gondola Village it is convenient to everything! Silver Mountain, the Trail of the Coeur d' Alene's bike trail, shops and restaurants are all close by. There is even a lovely hiking trail on the hillside just 1/2 block from our house.
In winter, curl up with a good book in front of the huge picture window and watch the snow fall gently on our quiet street as you plan your next snow adventure!
In summer our large yard on a corner lot (partially fenced) is a perfect place for gathering for a cook-out and conversation at the end of the day. Watch the Gondola travel up Silver Mountain and plan the next day's adventures under our shade trees.
Bring the family or a group of friends. The main living area has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a bath. The two bedrooms on the main level are each furnished with queen beds. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a double bed and a 'den' with a single bed. We supply all bedding and bath linens for you.
The kitchen has a full array of dishes, silverware and cookware, a small table that expands to seat more and we supply extra chairs too. Our full basement offers plenty of storage space for skiis and snowboards. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience. A garage and covered carport protect your vehicles from winter's snow and ice.
You can use the Wireless Wi-Fi, stereo, cable TV, and DVD player to keep you in touch and entertained as you relax in comfort.
The Silver Valley has so much to offer....be sure to visit the shops of historic Wallace just a few mile east of Kellogg, Look Out Mountain only 20 minutes east on the Montana border, and the lovely little city of Coeur d'Alene and the beautiful lake only 30 minutes west of Kellogg. The unique Trail of the Hiawatha bike trail is a 'must do'!
We are in the perfect place to take advantage of the four seasons activities in North Idaho. Our home awaits you as the 'home base' for all you want to see and do! Come stay a while!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We live in the Puget Sound area and 'on the road' in our truck camper. We are excited to share our Kellogg home with visitors to the Silver Valley and know you will love it here as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Kellogg:
We bought this home to be a gathering place for our family. We thought it would be primarily for access to snowboarding at Silver Mountain, but we grew to love being here in every season. It's easy to get to, convenient to an array of activities, quiet and laid back -- it has been a refuge from our busy lives in the Puget Sound area in Washington. We've gathered here with friends and family for 5 years and each visit has been memorable and enjoyable.
As you can see from our photos, our 'Sunshine House' is bright and casual; it's easy to feel comfortable and 'at home' here.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Silver Mountain is the obvious 'draw' for skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, and tubing, but there is so much more to do here! We have grown to love hopping on the bike trail and just taking off for a ride or driving our bikes to other 'stops' to explore more of the 72 mile trail. (Be sure to go to Harrison for ice cream!) We go to the Gondola Village special events (wine tasting and brew fest) and seeing concerts on the mountain-top. Galena Ridge and other golf courses are minutes away. We like to head to Coeur d'Alene for lake activities. Rafting down the S. Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River and exploring hiking trails everywhere are easy to do. A favorite hike is just up the hillside behind the house, taking a trail past the high school across the stream and back into the woods where you feel you are in the 'wilds' while only a short distance from town. Perhaps our most favorite times are just being here with friends and family, everyone 'doing their own thing' during the day and gathering in the evening to share stories, a meal, and much laughter!
