This house was amazing! We visited during the winter months and it was so convenient to have a garage to pull in to, rather than freezing our booties off unloading and loading the car. The kitchen was charming and well stocked with everyhing you need to make a romantic meal for two or a feast for the extended family. We loved the layout of the house, with a great kid area downstairs((pool table and a HUGE tv) and a place for adults to have a quiet conversation upstairs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this charming house again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Fabulous! Great location! Easy to get to. Love that you can pull in the garage and door in garage opens into kitchen for easily transporting things. Great layout! Room for plenty of people to walk around. Love that 2 bedrooms and game room are downstairs for kids to play yet still quiet upstairs for adults to socialize. Pellet stove enhances warm, cozy feeling. Beds comfortable. Open kitchen with plenty of cookware. Recommend for girls weekend (wineries close in downtown Murphys!), family affairs, couple's retreat either winter or summer. Will go back in a heartbeat!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Fantastic location but still very close to anything you need or want to do. Located in the woods, you get that fabulous feeling of the stillness of nature (wood decks on both floors) but the comfort of a nice home with all the conveniences. This place is spacious and well-maintained with a nice long dining room table and two pairs of bunk beds to accommodate larger groups. It's just a short drive to skiing or to the Big Trees park with creek areas. Let the kids safely wade and throw rocks in the creek while you sit in your lounge chair creekside or take a dip. Also, we used the Big Trees rec center and it had a snack bar, two pools, a playground, grassy area, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and lots of games that you can check out from the friendly staff at the little shed. They even have goggles for you and your kids to borrow while you swim. If you need a break from nature, the house has nice TV/Cable/WiFi for you to get your dose of that. Our kids played bikes and scooters right in the curvy driveway and loved the large room downstairs with the pool table and games and toys. A grocery store and drug store are a short drive away. We ordered take out from the Italian place Sarafina's in Arnold and all of the items were very tasty. Oh ya, there is plenty of easy parking too. Next time we plan to spend more time at the beautiful local lakes. Thanks for a great place to stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
