We had a family reunion of 10 adults at the Bella Costa and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. My favorite part was the open kitchen complete with counters and bar stools which allowed everyone to hang out while meals were being prepared. Everyone seems to congregate in the kitchen and this worked very well. Also, the whole unit was very well decorated with very nice furnishings. The jacuzzi was a wonderful "extra" in a great location, off the living area. It was clean, quiet, located in a safe neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this unit. Very nice!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This home is gorgeous. We rent on VRBO each year and this is the most beautiful house we've stayed at as well as comfortable with PLENTY of room to spread out. We had 5 sisters and loved having our own rooms and bathrooms, all squeaky clean and with designer decorations. It made the vacation such a treat! We watched sunsets from the hot tub (built into the second floor deck) and loved the daily dolphin shows. There's several pods that live near this beach and we saw them daily! The beach is lovely and close- just a short walk down the path. We rented bikes for the week (TIm's was great) and loved exploring the island and it's many quirky attractions. Lunched at the Crab Shack, North Beach, AJ's (our dolphins followed us there!), and Sundae's (GREAT food) and enjoyed dinners at Marlin Monroes (loved the Full Moon Party on the beach) and walking to Huckapoos for pizzas, beers, and live bands. It was all we could wish for in a vacation on Tybee. Our group went to Savannah for two days and enjoyed the Pink House and Firefly Cafe as well as the abundant great shopping and sitting in the many historic squares. The Southern hospitality and relaxed atmosphere that the ybee/Savannah ful area offer make this a must visit. We can't wait to come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for this review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and your recommendations were wonderful. I'm going to add them to my list!

Words can not express how PERFECT this home is! Our daughter was married at the Lighthouse, so staying on the island for the weekend was ideal. And this home was "the" place to stay. We had 10 people staying in the house, but it never felt crowded. Everyone loved having their own bath, and waking up each morning to that amazing view. Morning walks on the beach helped ease the tension of wedding events. The furnishings and beautiful decor is so luxurious, but comfortable, too! It all just made for the perfect wedding weekend. The game room was ideal for the guys to hang out, while the ladies prepared for the wedding. We hope that we can go back again soon, to be able to fully enjoy everything the house has to offer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was more than we envisioned and was well appointed and super comfortable. Spacious bathrooms, wonderful bedrooms, great kitchen and awesome hot tub were some of the features that we loved. The beach is a one minute walk and several shops were within walking distance. Our only recommendation would be to have a televsion in the Pool/Poker Room on the 1st floor. It was College Football Bowl Season so forgive us! ;-} Marissa, overall it was a wonderful experience and our family can't thank you enough! We hope to visit again in the future! Go Gamecocks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Scott, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I like that idea, and I'll add a television to that space as you suggest. I'll need something to put it on...so that gives me a wonderful excuse to shop!

Where to begin...We have used VRBO multiple times in the past with plenty of disappointments to speak of, but not with Bella Costa, there are no words to describe this home. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything right down to the unique decorations and knick-knacks were impeccable. Marisa explained prior to our arrival that she didn't skimp on the little things like furnishings, linens and towels, that was an understatement! The beds were so comfortable, bedrooms huge and well appointed right down to the flat screen TV's, each with their own bathroom (always an added bonus). The views from the decks were to die for, even the deck furniture was top notch. We were in awe of the ships coming in as well as the dolphin sightings and amazing sunsets. Beach is close, my elderly in-laws enjoyed the short walk everyday just to sit on the beach and take in the views, and that was after they pried themselves from the hot tub on the deck. The home was clean and well maintained, Marisa was very helpful and accommodating, she even included fantastic directions and provided places to eat and shop. While I'll admit Tybee Island was not on our bucket list of places to visit, after this experience you can bet we'll be back! If your planning a visit to Tybee Island I can't think why you would even consider staying anywhere else.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our first visit to Tybee and we absolutely fell in love with it!! Bella Costa was the perrfect place to stay. We ordered our groceries ahead from the local market and they delivered them and put them away prior to our arrival. We had everything we could possibly need. The home was clean and cozy! Plenty of room! Steps from the beach! We will definitely visit again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for such a glowing review! I could almost see you there. I'm so glad you had a nice time. Until next time! Marisa

My mother, four sisters, and I thoroughly enjoyed our week on Tybee Island at Bella Costa. From the first gasps as we stepped into this beautiful home, to the gasps as we watched the dolphins play just yards from our beach, to the gasps as we sauntered from one beautiful Savannah shopping venue to another, to the gasps watching the sun set on our final night, I can honestly say this was a five star vacation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home; it was a joy! And, we will be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Oh, I'm so glad the dolphins cooperated! They are there almost every day, but occasionally they take a route so far out, they can't be seen. I just love when they're in-shore. Glad you had fun!

WOW - words cannot explain how beautiful this Tybee Island home is. My book club just returned from a wonderful long weekend. There were 7 of us girls! The house is beautifully decorated; bedrooms are large with comfortable bedding; all 4 baths are roomy with plenty of space for two - three people. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal or a simple spaghetti dinner. We started each day with coffee out on the deck watching the sun rise and ended each day on the same deck with a glass of wine at sunset. In between we drove into Savannah for sight seeing - a short 25 minute ride - it was very easy to get to down town.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words. A lot of people, friends and family, all contributed to creating what they (we) considered a wonderful getaway and I'm thrilled you enjoyed it!

Bella Costa is a great home away from home! Two families with teens decided to vacation together for the first time. Bella Costa made it a wonderful experience! The beach was a short walk, so everyone could go and come freely! The home has a welcoming, comfortable, "beachy" decor. Great view of the water from each level. House is very clean and conveniently located to shops, grocery store and other island amenities. Would highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The house is beautiful and all the room are great. We had 9 people all adults and the house was very spacious and so comfortable. It felt like home and the decorations where incredible. I will do this again with my family and will highly recommend to others. The views are incredible from the upper decks and we saw the Dolphins every day we where there. The beach is very close to the house, about 100 yards. We ate at many of the places on Tybee and they where all INCREDIBLE!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: I grew up in Chicago, and moved to Atlanta over 30 years ago. I have always loved the Georgia coast, with its unique wildlife. Tybee Island is one of my favorite places because of its unique restaurants and shopping, the kindness of everyone you meet, the events throughout the year and of course, their love of our turtles. I run a business in Atlanta, but try to get away as much as I can. I have a fantastic Italian family, including a niece and two nephews, and a tight circle of friends I've known for over 20 years. I never intended to rent this property, but after having spent so many weekends there, friends and family asked me to, so here we are.
Why the Owner Chose Tybee Island:
I love Tybee Island. It's whatever you want it to be. On the South side of the island you can play hard, and on the North side of the island you can recuperate. There is almost always something going on, from New Year's through Christmas every year. There are little shops I love to visit and fantastic restaurants in town like Sundae Café and the Crab Shack (musts on any visit). Add to that, the island itself is just minutes from Savannah with its shops and restaurants and of course, River Street. What could be better?
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love coming in from the beach and being able to wash more than my feet. At my property, I installed an outside shower and changing area and it's extremely convenient - especially when I have a crowd (and I always do!). My family is Italian, and we've always been game players, so having a game table was a must. One that suited the decor was just a lucky find at Two Women and a Warehouse in Savannah! Huckapoo's is just a couple of blocks away and they always have something fun going on; bands, movies, and their pizza is out of this world. The neighborhood is quiet, which was important to me, and I love my built-in hot tub overlooking the ocean. I don't think I'm ever more relaxed when I'm lounging in it. Because there is street parking for four cars, I can always have my friends come visit and we never run out of room. I especially love the game table I recently got at a local shop that has a hidden compartment I've stocked with cards and chips. Although I do love to visit Savannah when I'm there, I've made it so fun at my home, I almost don't want to leave!
