  We really enjoyed our stay at the White Cottage! We had 10 people and the accomodations were perfect, everyone was comfortable, and the location was great! Loved the park with tennis courts and basketball court right down the road, and the walk to the village and pier was so nice! Also walked to the beach.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This is a wonderful house! Everybody loved it. There were a total of 8 people that stay here, and we all got along, because everyone had their own space through out the house. We had never vacation together like this before. And It was FANTASTIC! The HUGE screened in porch was a big winner among everyone, even though it was becoming chilly. Some of us would migrate to the living room, or dining room to play poker (that was becoming a nightly ritual). The walk to the beach was short and perfect, just enough for the 3-year-old girl to not complain about it yet. Haha! The photos did not do the house justice. Made the rooms look small. Once we walked into the kitchen and explored, we were in awe. It was beautifully furnished, very clean and HUGE! I loved the smell when you walked in the house, (was that from the wood floors?) I also loved whatever laundry detergent you used to wash the bedding, it smelled so good. 1st floor Master bath was gorgeous! But heated floor would have been nice or atleast a runner of some sort to walk on until you get to the shower. Waking up and going to the bathroom walking on ice cold floor was a surprise! Haha! We ALL (Dwayne, Jennifer, Dan, Tiffany, Maddie, Holly, Steve, and Drew) were talking about pitching in and buying this house from you. HAHA just kidding! But we are definitely going to be staying here again, and again. STAY HERE! ITS IN A PERFECT LOCATION, HAS HUGE ROOMS, AND IT GREAT FOR ENTERTAINING. Kudos to Steve and his family for finding and renovating this wonderful house. Thank you again! We had a great time.

  Thanks Steve. The information and description of your home was very accurate and helpful. It was a pleasure working with you. We loved walking to the Village for shopping, ice cream, strolls along the waterfront and the variety of restaurants. The East Beach was a short drive. First time to the beach for our 4 yr old twin grandchildren. What great memories we will all have! Your home was very well maintained, clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend your home to anyone visitng SSI. Thank you so much for being "pet friendly". Our dogs love vacationing too! We never travel without them.

  What a great house to rent. Close to the village, lighthouse, etc. Our son got married on St. Simons, and we were looking for a spacious home to rent located near the church and lighthouse. This was the perfect place. It only took a minute to drive to the church and we did not have to worry about getting caught in traffic. Several of the groosmen stayed with us, and we all had plenty or room. The guys really enjoyed being able to be together before the wedding. . I would love to rent this house again with just the family and do more sightseeing and relaxing. Steve was great to work with and the house was very clean.

  What a beautiful and welcoming home! The location is fabulous also! We were seconds away from the beach and the local pier. The Fourth of July fireworks were simply amazing. The location of this home made it easy for us to get up each morning and grab our bikes for a morning ride. One morning we rode all the way out to East Beach. The owner was a joy to work with. He made every detail about the house, use of lights, the wonderful screened in porch, how to lock the doors and even trash pick-up available to us. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home and plan to ask to rent it again in the future. It was perfect for Grandparents, and teens. No one was bored! Thank you for allowing us to use your home. We had a lovely time!

  Rented Steve's house last week for the family - it was lovely - like walking into a family home. Teens could safely walk to the village which was a real plus. I will certainly be back. Even enjoyed visits from Black Cat from across the street. If you are looking for a house with every amenity this is it.

  Everything about this home is perfect. The house is decorated nicely and the updates to this beach bungalow are extremely well done. The kitchen is great to cook in and the large screened in porch or lanai is a wonderful place to hang out. What a bonus to have bikes available on the property as well. The location is perfect walking distance from the village and the beach. I can't imagine a better spot for a larger family or group. Steve is easy to work with and on top of all communication. We will definately be back and looking forward to it!

  Owner response: I am always happy to get positive reviews. St. Simons is a great place for biking with many miles of bike paths and tree-lined streets (also, no hills!). There are several close-by places that rent bikes for one, two, or 4, some with canopy tops. I find it impossible to keep up the bikes and promise they will be ready (my cleaning people said it wasn't in their job description); so I have discontinued any use of the bikes. However, if you are a qualified bike mechanic, I might make you a deal. Steve

  This was a wonderful place to stay on St Simons Island as it is only a few blocks away from the Village and other attractions on the Island. The listing description was very accurate and the photos did a nice job of showing the appearance and amenities of the home. The was very clean and well-maintained and the owner was very helpful in answering questions replying back quickly. I would recommend for anyone to stay at this spacious property with access to all of the activities SSI has to offer.

  This was the perfect choice for my stay on St Simons Island last fall. The weather there was perfect and the location of this property is within walking distance of the downtown area and pier....lots of restaurants and shops in the midst of the historic part of the island. The house had been completely remodeled with upgrades in every room. Located in a very nice neighborhood among majestic oaks. Large room on back with windows all around for entertaining all seasons. I can't say enough of how it fit for the perfect stay...all the amenities of home. Also in close proximity of beach access and nearby Brunswick and Jekyll Island.
