  We held our annual family women's weekend here. It was fabulous. What a beautiful place in the fall - and I am sure any time of year! My daughter found this venue and we were all so glad she did. It had everything we needed and the horse back riding was an added bonus. Even the fire pit was ready for one match strike and the smores were on!!!! If you are thinking about renting this home, just do it! You won't be disappointed!

  I just spent the past weekend at this place with 5 other women in my family and it was wonderful. Plenty of room, we all had our own beds, the house was amazing, and the animals-inside and out were something to see. We went on a horse back ride-which was fun for me since I am 60 and hadn't been on a horse since I was 10. The fire at night was also great, we did marshmallows and sang around the camp fire like we were all kids even though our ages was from 32-81. One night half of us used one kitchen and made the salad and dessert and the other half used the other kitchen and made the main course. I just can't say enough about this place. If you every get a chance to head that way, I would recommend it highly.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  I just attended the ranch for a female family reunion and was beyond impressed with the accommodations. My husband and I are hunters so I was amazed by the size of the wildlife trophies on the walls. I took lots of pictures to show my hubby. Because the lodge has two kitchens, we were able to split up and prepare an evening meal without tripping over each other. Plus the outside fire pit was all set up for us to enjoy a roaring campfire after dinner. Scott, who runs a horseback riding business on the property, patiently took all of us novice riders around the property on Saturday morning. It was more than just a standard trail ride and he was very attentive of everyone's riding skills (or lack of) and the individual horse personalities. I could write pages on how wonderful our experience was but I'll summarize with one statement: This is a fantastic place to reconnect with nature, to relax and unwind!

  What a wonderful place to stay! From the moment I emailed the owners up until our departure, I was wonderfully treated!!! Cindy was amazing to work with and answered all of my questions via email. It is always a little nerve racking to book a place online that you have never seen. But the pictures do not lie and it was a wonderful place to stay! The home is BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN!!! All the amenities you could ask for are available in the home and you don't need to bring a thing. Not only is the home perfect, but the views are amazing as well! Nice and quiet! We loved the fire pit and roasting marshmellows (and we didn't have to do a thing--it was all set for us to lite)! We also loved walking out the front door and across the driveway to the horseback riding! Thank you sooooo much Cindy and Gary! We had a wonderful time!!!

  Finding this listing and the immediate response from the owners started a great experience. The location was perfect! Right outside of Castle Rock, convenient to restaurants, the Outlets for shopping and the interstate. The beautiful drive to the home couldn't even prepare you for the spectacular view from the property. Lots of wildlife sightings, breathtaking day and night views. Very relaxing and spacious. Our family enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, outdoor grill, basketball goal, shooting range, walks and relaxing on the deck. Not to mention all the space indoors - to be able to house 7 people and at times not even know where people are... You could go to an area, read a book and have peace and quiet. A very relaxing experience! The home is absolutely gorgeous with lots of entertainment and comfort. The decor and furnishings are very nice! The home was clean and furnished with all the necessities. We spent lots of time in the kitchen and large dining table. Eating, playing games, telling stories around the fire pit under the stars. Words or pictures really can't totally explain the beauty offered by the home and property. All the above plus the exceptional hospitality offered by the owners from beginning to end made a truly magical experience for our family. We would recommend this property to anyone and definitely plan to return in the future. A special thanks to Cindy & Gary for their hospitality and contact during the arrangements and stay. Their hospitality to our family was touching and we cannot thank them enough for sharing their amazing home.

  We own a CrossFit gym and had the 2012 Southwest Regional Games in Castle Rock. We brought our whole team down to stay at the ranch for 3 nights and 3 days! I am certian that our stay is different than most but we had an awesome stay, the views are amazing and the house is beautiful! There is MORE than enough sleeping room, and places where you can get away if you need to. WE did a lot of cooking and eating, so the two kitchens were perfect! The taxidermy is amazing, I think at one point we tried to count them all...but failed :) We enjoyed dinners on the back patio, and hot tub time watching the sunset. Cindy and Gary were awesome and anything we needed was provided with warmth and hospitality! We would highly recommend staying here is you are looking to get away, but stll be close to the city. We were not able to use the firepit or enjoy the horses but I can olnly imagine this would add to anyone's stay! If we ever head back to the area we will return for sure!   We have had a wonderful visit, thanks to your thoughtfulness and hospitality, and for your wisdom in creating a perfect retreat in a gorgeous setting! It has been a relaxing and active long weekend, with lots of laughter and fun, along with bragging rights claimed in pool, age shown with some basketball and huge smiles flashed!   Thank you for having us at your lovely home! The hot tub was great, and having the fire outside was great fun! Thank you for having the fire pit all set up, it was a treat to only have to light a match and nothing beats a massage after horseback riding. Cell service and wi-fi were good too!   We're delighted to be amongst your first guests! Sunrise coffee in the hot tub was an excellent suggestion; likewise winding down after riding! I am stunned by the taxidermy - this is one of the most memorable, unique homes I've ever been in! Best wishes and continued success!

  My wife and I had a wonderful time at the property. The sunrise view in the morning was spectacular. The house had everything we needed to have a peaceful and enjoyable stay. My wife (the active one) was able to get horseback riding lessons on site. I (the couch potato, er..... I mean intellectual, contemplative type) was able to sit on the very comfy couch, watch the views and read, and utilize the satellite tv and internet which both worked great. The outdoor hot tub was also a nice feature. Probably most importantly, the owners were very conscientious folks who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They stayed readily available by phone or email for questions, and they did many other little things (like making sure the outdoor fire pit was ready to light with a single match). We'd recommend the place to anyone.
