Why the Owner Chose West Alameda
the apartment was originally added so that we could live in it while renting the larger downstairs. We later moved downstairs and since have used the apartment for our children, family and friends, when it is not being rented to visitors such as yourself
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
We built the house so that we could enjoy the quiet of the country while being only a few minutes from downtown.

We stayed here summer 2010 with a group of 4. The apartment/casa was very nice - nicer than I expected it would be. The place can easily fit 6 people, or 7 depending on your sleeping arrangements. Although it is attached (not directly above) a house it is very private and quiet - great for late mornings. It is also very warm feeling and gets nice light as well. The place come very well stocked with all amenities you could need to cook, bathe, sleep and entertain yourself. What I really liked is that the location is just a short distance from the historic downtown but far enough that you can feel the quietness of the desert. The owners, Michael and Christie, made the reservation process and arrival very simple. If you get a chance to talk to them they are very friendly and actually own a great jewelry gallery up on Canyon Road. They know all of the galleries and attractions and have excellent local recommendations for activities. Overall, our stay here was a pleasant surprise and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely house when we went to Santa Fe for a wedding. It was perfect for our needs as we had a car (a must) and were easily able to visit the sites we were interested in. We did day trips to Bandolier and Pecos. We enjoyed the Georgia O'Keefe museum and exploring all the art stores. The kitchen was more than adequate. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owners are experienced in renting and warmly helpful. They suggested restaurants that they had as personal favorites. We hiked as much as we could: watch out for altitude if you aren't acclimatized.Great place to fly into if you are a private pilots by the way.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed in Christie and Michael's place over the 2011 Thanksgiving holiday, our 3rd stay there in the past few years. The apartment is great - this pictures really really don't do it justice. The living room and kitchen are light, open, and airy with nice hardwood floors. The three bedrooms are cozy. Everything is nicely decorated; there are a lot of art pieces throughout the apartment. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and dishes; there are also plenty of soft towels and fresh linens. Every time we've stayed the apartment has been freshly cleaned upon arrival - Christie and Michael take care of everything. It is nice to stay here as it is a few minutes outside of town and we loved the desert surroundings. They've also put in nice landscaping touches around the apartment. We will definitely be staying again - a true home away from home (but nicer)
