A fully updated, immaculately furnished two-story, two-bedroom two-and-one half bath townhome in a small, quiet complex near the beach and village on Saint Simons Island.

Downstairs is an open concept kitchen, dining, and living area with immaculate furnishings, fully stocked kitchen, dining room and half-bath. Stackable, oversized washer and dryer is located in the oversized pantry. Kitchen features light and bright design with black granite countertops, stainless appliances, and everything you need to feel right at home. Kitchen has coffee pot (both Keurig and traditional drip), toaster, blender, electric steamer, individual sized smoothie blender, you name it!

Two spacious bedrooms are located upstairs--each with its own walk-in closet, dedicated bathroom and flat screen TV. Bedroom set-up is perfect for families, couples or friends. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has two twins.

Walk or bike 3/4 of a mile to the beach or 1 mile to the village, restaurants, shops, fishing pier, and lighthouse. Private deck with gas grill and dining set sits amidst the fenced backyard which is shaded by live oaks.

Saint Simons has it all--bike and walking trails, beach, village shops, golfing, and island time!

Wonderful
Everything was as described. The Crains were excellent property owners and very helpful. Their accommodations exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet and there was so much to do and see. We would stay there again if we could.

Girls weekend.
I think the timing of the sprinkler system should have been earlier. We could not get to our vehicle without getting wet in the morning. Especially this morning, it made check out a little harder, even to take the trash out. With 2 small kids not a perfect setting with sprinklers. Also you may want to check the door knob of the storm door, it felt like it was going to fall off.

Sweet Spot
We really enjoyed staying here. The townhouse was clean, comfortable, and well equipped; and the area was peaceful. It’s also located conveniently to the beach, restaurants, and cultural and historical sites. I talked with the owner at the beginning of our stay; she gave us great information on getting around and places to go. For us it was yet another great Vrbo experience.

We purchased our townhome because Susan spent part of her childhood on St. Simons and owning a home here has been a lifelong wish for her. After vacationing here through the years, we formed our own connection to the island as a couple. Whether it was walking on the beach, golfing, or enjoying the village, our love for the Golden Isles grew with each visit. In 2014, we finally took the leap and bought our townhome and love having our own little sandcastle in Susan's happy place. Now, we are excited to share our home with you.

Why they chose this property

We chose our townhome because of its proximity to the beach, the Village and other favorite spots on the south end of the island. Although it's close to the heart of the action, it's tucked away in a quiet residential area that isn't heavily trafficked. You're close to all the action, but in a location that is a "best kept secret" that keeps you out of the worst of the tourists and noise. You can walk to some of the island's best restaurants but don't find yourself surrounded by other tourists when you're at "your home away from home". Quiet, but accessible--that's what we like about our island retreat.

What makes this property unique

As a duplex, our unit shares only one wall with another property. It also has a private fenced backyard which is great for evening barbeques or a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. Plus, the interior has been fully renovated and has a homey feel. Our kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking meals in and/or entertaining guests on the patio.

Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV, attached bath, and walk-in closet. If looking for a quiet night in, enjoy high-speed Internet and stream your favorite shows on one of the property's smart TVs. And if you find yourself having to get a little work done while you're here, we've got a small productivity station tucked in the corner of the family room with a desk, office chair, and several plugs for your devices built in to the desk. Do your work then get out and enjoy the island!
