  This is a very cozy spot right on the water. From the lanai, Sunsets every night, watching turtles every afternoon and breakfast every morning. Beaches are within walking distance, world class snorkeling beaches a short drive away. This location is best with shops/restrarants within walking distance.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  You guys have done an amazing job remodeling this fantastic place! We've stayed here before (knew the previous owners) and loved it then because of the unbelievable location. But when we saw what you've done with the place ... WOW! Kudos! It's absolutely gorgeous and I truly don't know if you could have done any better! :) All of the small details are fabulous as well. Nice to have it so fully stocked with high-end furnishings, linens, dishes, etc. We were very impressed. You made a phenomenal place on Maui even better! Thanks so much! It's always been our very favorite spot on Maui and we owned a unit in that building for several years as well. Maui no ka oi. (Maui is the best.) Your unit: no ka oi. :)

  What a pleasant surprise! We needed a place to stay for 3 nights while we were waiting to check into our primary Maui destination. This place was affordable and on the water and it exceeded our expectations! Joe and Naomi are outstanding owners and have really made this studio a nice home away from home. The furnishings and decor were very comfortable, the kitchen had all the right utensils, dishes, and appliances, and if you like the sound of the surf and a spectacular view of the ocean, this place has it. We had some minor problems with the sliding doors, we shared this with Joe and Naomi and they were already considering a fix. Also the sea wall was under construction while we were there so we didn't have use of the bar-b-q area. That didn't interfere with our second floor view and shouldn't be a problem for anyone else as they were nearing completion. Also expect a bit of road noise since the condo is close to the road. We saw turtles right below our lani every day and whales in the distance. There is a great beach about a half block north. The trail is a bit hard to see if your driving, but just walk up the road and you'll find it. The condo provided beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels. We snorkeled from Honolua Bay to Makena and found turtles everywhere. Our favorite places to dine included our condo, my wife is an awesome cook so with regular stops at the Farmer's Market for fresh fruits and veggies and Foodland Farms for Poke and beer we enjoyed the best of the island. We also enjoyed Pupus at the Seahouse, Pad Thai at Star Noodle, and to get the most for our money the pulled pork at Beach Bums at Maalaea. Also don't miss the Slack Key Show, lots of fun and gave us a real appreciation for Hawaiian guitar.

  This condo is in a great central location of Maui. It's clean, it's modern, and the bed is very comfortable. Pride of ownership comes to mind when you look around at the updated interior. All the furniture pieces are nice, the kitchen is completely stocked with good quality dishes & cookware. The view cannot be beat. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive. In fact, I emailed them because I had a question and I received a response within minutes! I highly recommend this condo for anyone who wants a nice place to stay and a reasonable price.

  We felt very lucky to have found this condo. Everything was comfortable, fully equipped AND we had a million dollar view! We would stay here again! Perfect for a cozy retreat. D & J

  My girlfriend and I stayed at Pohailani in Lahaina for 7 nights and the property was just wonderful (exactly as described in the posting). The unit has all the necessities that you need and was very clean. It is in a great location in northwest Maui, close to beaches, rental shops, restaurants and grocery stores. We travelled the entire island and this is the area I would have chosen to stay. We cooked our breakfast in the unit almost every day and ate it out on the lanai, which is less than 10 feet from the ocean. We saw sea turtles most mornings, crabs, and people surfing and paddle boarding. Hearing the waves crash all night is very soothing. There are a few boogie boards to use in the unit (but some are broken). I would just rent snorkel gear and boogie boards for the week (very cheap from rental shops). Only small warning I have is watch your toes and shins on the bed frame, it sticks out past the mattress OUCH!!! Overall an amazing stay, I will book the same property for my next visit to Maui.

  Mahalo for opening your beautiful home and allowing us to stay there! The pictures don't do it justice. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning eating our breakfast watching the turtles swim just feet away from us, and watching the beautiful Maui sunsets at night. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need, and it was the perfect home base location for our trip to Maui! We will definitely be staying here in this condo again on our next Maui Vacation!

  We very much enjoyed our stay at the Poihailani. The condo was outfitted with everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The setting was absolutely fantastic with gorgeous sunsets and turtles feasting right below us. We had never stayed in West Maui before and very much appreciated the close proximity to great beaches, snorkeling, hiking, and restaurants. We will be back!

  Aloha Naomi & Joe, We had a fabulous time in Maui and your condo was the perfect home away from home. We couldn't have asked for more; superb oceanfront with beautiful sunsets, incredible lanai views, comfy chic accommodations and the list goes on and on. The location was excellent making it easy to explore West, South and Central Maui. The daily sea turtle sightings from our lanai was a real treat and the easy access to so many wonderful beaches in the area made our honeymoon unforgettable. We were quite content to prepare many of our meals at home in the lovely equipped kitchen and we also appreciated the opportunity to throw in a load of laundry when needed; definitely an added bonus.
