This hand-crafted, brand new home has a welcoming covered front porches, custom interior wood work, hardwood and tiled floors, and large windows throughout giving one the feeling of being a part of the surrounding, sun-filled redwood forest. The open floor plan includes 2 bedrooms + cozy sleeping loft upstairs
(for 1-6 pers.) and 2 bedrooms downstairs (1-4 pers.). Each level with queen-sized beds, fully equipped kitchen, views & privacy. This south facing home is warm, rustic contemporary and welcoming for couples, a family or anybody seeking solace in a private Redwood Oasis.
Also, if you have a little time to explore, our location is just a short drive to beautiful local beaches near Eureka and Trinidad, & natural paradises of Patricks Point State Park, Big Lagoon and Redwood National Park.

Our family of seven stayed in the upper chalet unit 7/4/12 through 7/7/12. When we first arrived at the property, we were all impressed by the grounds and location where the chalet is. It is off the 299 and accessed by a country road in the woods. Picturesque is how I would describe it. The photo that accompanies the property listing is right on. When we entered the unit, we all just said, "wow." The property is new and it is very nicely furnished in a rustic, but sophisticated look. The place is immaculate. The view of the woods from the upper unit is awesome. The beds are very comfortable and we all felt at home in the unit. The owners of the property are very pleasant and it was easy to book the unit. We would definitely stay at the property again for our next trip to the Redwoods. Also, the location of this property is convenient for day trip to the Redwood State Park to the south and Redwood National Park to the north.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Went up north for a 3 day celebration...quite honestly, hated to leave this beautiful home for the party! I was particularly impressed with the "interior decorating." I have stayed in at least 10 house rentals, but none as pretty as this! The house is located is in a beautiful, restful setting. We visited Eureka, Arcata, Patricks Point State Park and Trinidad. I dealt with Krista who was efficient, available and helpful. I will definitely recommend this home to others going up north!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We were lucky to be the first renters ever at Jeffrey and Krista's beautiful house. The house is beautiful, gets lots of light, and is well furnished. It's also all brand new, which is nice. Kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies, and the bedrooms were comfortable. We particularly enjoyed staying in the loft which was very cozy. This was the perfect getaway from San Francisco. There is lots to see in Humboldt County, and the house is conveniently located close to Arcata and the Humboldt Redwood Forest, including Avenue of the Giants. Jeffrey was great to work with - responsive, friendly, and available by phone, text, and email with any questions. We had a great time, and highly recommend this house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
