  We had a wonderful time during our stay at Grandby Ranch last February. It was so close to skiing in Winter Park and the Snowmobiling at Grand Lake. We were there with two of our adult children and enjoyed cooking in a few nights. We were able to buy needed groceries at the near by grocery store. The condo was, however, close enough to restaurants which we visited one night. After a hard day in the snow we really liked the hot tubs as well. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very friendly and answered all of our questions before we left for the mountains. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. The slopes right there at Grandby Ranch would be excellent for beginner skiers. We hope to make a return visit in the future.

  My family and I had a wonderful vacation at this condo. The owners do an excellent job of maintaining this unit and the housekeeper left it spotless. The condo is very comfortable and homey with lots of extras including plenty of cookware, spare pillows, blankets, and even HBO! You can definitely tell that the owners treat the space as their second home. The front desk workers and ski shop salespeople were very accommodating and friendly! Side note - in response to another review complaining about the pool being freezing: you can tell the pool is indeed heated, although quite cool compared to the hot tubs. It would be unreasonable to expect the resort to maintain the pool's temperature at a level comparable to a hot tub. It's an outdoor pool in the middle of winter, people! But it must not be too unbearable, lots of kids were in the pool during our stay...

  My family and I had a great time staying in Granby. It was our first skiing experience here in CO and it was a lot of fun. The room was very clean and cozy. Lots of room for all of us to either hang out or have our own privacy.I would definitely go back or recommend this condo to friends and family!

  Currently staying here. Checked in to our non smoking condo to find an overwhelming smell of smoke as well as cigarette butts on the table as well as the patio. With one child who suffers from allergies, this was miserable. The staff at the front desk as well as the ski rental were very unfriendly and quite negative. If you are looking for a well kept heated pool and hot tub, do not look here. The pool was freezing cold and only 2 of the hot tubs were working. They were both quite dirty and there was standing water everywhere. The Inn is aging and unkept. On a lighter note, the owner seemed quite friendly and the condo was neat and tidy. However, this was a bust for us.

  Owner response: The part of this review that is true is about the pool and tubs. The whole area is being remodeled, and new tubs are being put in along with all new floor tiles and a great face-lift for the pool area. This person rented the day before work was to begin, and one of the four hot tubs was being drained to begin this exciting project, which will give the pool area a beautiful appearance, to finish in June. Regarding the cigarette butts, the second to last sentence in this renter’s review says: “On a lighter note, the owner seemed quite friendly and the condo was neat and tidy.” This part is the truth. The notion that there was a smell or physical evidence of cigarettes inside the condo has been disproven in several ways: 1) My long-time and excellent housecleaner cleaned two hours prior to the arrival of this guest, and there was no smoke smell or cigarettes anywhere 2) We are severely asthmatic and have smoke detectors that would have gone off had anyone smoked in our unit, but they did not 3) the electronic “door read out” confirmed that no one entered the condo after my house cleaner and prior to this guest’s check in 4) We, who are extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke, stayed in the condo immediately after this person, and there was absolutely no cigarette smell, yet this guest complained of the smell as late as the day before we were there. What we did find is something that happens from time to time. The renters of the condo above us throw cigarette butts off their balcony, and they land on our OUTSIDE patio. A quick sweep with the broom got rid of both of those cigarette butts. I hate it, but I have no power to stop it. The staff at the lodge where we own our condo does not work for me or my guests. I always explain this to our renters, but these renters didn’t seem to understand. The staff did me a favor and handed them our condo key. That is all they should have been expected to do. Had our guests rented from the staff at the lodge, they would have paid more than twice as much and would have been entitled to make the demands on them that they made. VRBO means you rent from owners. I must do a better job of explaining this in the future. My personal experience with the staff has been extremely positive at all times and I have never had a complaint about them prior to this guest. I can only speculate as to the reasons a person would make false statements on a review, and my opinions on this would probably not be helpful to you.

  The condo was exactly as described on VRBO. It is a two apartment suite with an adjoining door. In one room is a queen bed and bath. The other room has a small kitchenette with a couch and a murphy wall bed. TV's are in both rooms. The place is a bit isolated from the ski slopes requiring a 30 minute drive from Winter Park, but with the lower cost of this unit and the willingness of the owners to rent it, you should consider the place. Saying it can sleep 6 is true, but only if 3 or 4 of them are kids. However it is clean and well kept.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

  I recently stayed here with my 6 and 9 yr old daughters. We had a wonderful time. The room were cozy, with all you need for an extended stay. The lodge and staff were friendly and professional. The grocery store across the street was very convenient. We had lots of fun on the slopes, right up the road. Then the hot tubs and pool at the lodge were relaxing. Thanks to the renters who were very easy to work with. We can't wait to go back.

  We had a great time at the condo. It's right across the street from a City Market, making it very convenient to get groceries. Hot tub at the facility was a great way to relax after skiing/snowboarding at Winter Park.

  Very adequate space for two couples. Grocery across highway makes the kitchen very useful. Great location for entire area, Rocky Mtn Park to Winter Park. The overall facility is very nice.

  We had a wonderful time at this condo. The owners are very kind and easy to work with. The space was perfect for what we needed with 4 small children, 2 bathrooms is great. The condo is very centrally located to hiking trails, shops, and restaurants. We loved the pool and hot-tubs and went swimming everday. I would definitely recommend this condo!

  We spent 5 nights in this wonderful place. We have previously stayed at the same Inn and rented other units. This one had several advantages we hadn’t found before. It had a dishwasher, which we had never found and it had free Wi-Fi right in the room. When we have rented other condos we had to go to the lobby and sit with our laptops. Having a flat screen TV in each room was nice too. The rooms were nicely decorated and this condo was far more than we expected. I did a lot of fishing and boating on the lake and my wife and kids spent time in the pool. My wife enjoyed having her hair done right down the hall while the kids played in the arcade next door. We love Rocky Mountain National Park and went back twice. We were even lucky enough to see a Moose this time. We usually rent at the Inn At Silver Creek because it is so centrally located for everything. We will definitely rent this particular condo again, if we can.
