This spacious, newly built 2nd story detached garage apartment will make you feel right at home while enjoying all Austin has to offer. We are located within walking distance of Austin's best attractions - Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake & Hike and Bike Trail, Live Music, Congress Avenue, Whole Foods Flagship Store, Local Premier Restaurants and much more! All of this in a very quiet, family neighborhood.
We have 10' ceilings throughout the unit with ceiling fans in each room. It is fully equipped with a 32' TV, cable, wi-fi, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kitchen necessities to prepare your own meals and comfortable seating for 6. One room has a king bed, the other a queen and the sleeper sofa in the living room comfortably accommodates two. The bathroom has a full sized tub with shower and a washer and dryer if needed. A newly constructed deck with pergola provides a wonderful outside space to kick back and relax.
Entrance and Parking: The accommodations are above a detached garage with an elevated view, so please keep in mind there are stairs to the entry door. The entry is on the back side of the structure and we have motion lighting and also a switched porch light operable from both inside and at the bottom of the stairs. We have a sidewalk around the unit to the stairs. Parking is available on the street. The building is located in the rear of the property and is a little over a 100' walk from the street to the entrance.
Neighborhood Notes: This ia a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood. We respect our neighbors and their property. No big parties are allowed however small social gatherings are quite fine. Please be aware of your noise level at all times. Take a walk around the block and you'll see many people outside enjoying the 'hood with their family and pets. We live on the property and are here to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable, while respecting your privacy. Please let us know if we can do anything to make your Austin experience even better!

Jessie and her family were very accommodating and welcoming as we arrived in Austin! The home is very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space and the tall ceilings provided an even roomier feel. It was so nice having a washer/dryer on site. We grilled out and used the patio quite a bit also, very nice. We were very happy with this comfortable loft apartment. The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting our son (who lives in the neighborhood) for Thanksgiving. It was very helpful that the kitchen was nicely appointed with all that a kitchen needs. The entire space was clean and cheerful. The owners were a delight to work with. We had a very nice stay. The place is clean, quiet and as advertised. We were there in December so the weather wasn't that warm, but if it would have been warm enough we would have had our breakfast outside in the mornings. There are some great places to eat and hang out within walking distance. We walked to and from downtown a couple of times, but stuck mostly to the car. I ventured on the bus once, which is just behind the block across the street. You would be hard pressed to find a better location for a stay in Austin. This place and the owners were amazing! It felt just like home and the beds were very comfortable. A complimentary local wine was provided and all the kitchen essentials you could need. My family came from Paraguay (South America) for my wedding earlier this month and it was very important that they could be close to downtown and all the attractions in Austin. They absolutely LOVED the property!!!! It accommodated 5 of them perfectly and had a great time visiting Austin for their first time. Jessie did a great job and it was very easy to work with her. I totally recommend this property if you are looking to visit or have someone visit you in Austin. It is located so close to everything and the neighborhood is really nice! Planned to stay at a local mainstream hotel during a conference at the convention center. All rooms booked so I looked on Home Away and found this lovely gem in a great Austin neighborhood. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern and convenient. Walking distance to local hangouts, the river and parks. We used the Metro bus service to get around and were quite pleased. Quick, convenient and low cost. The owners of the apartment are neighbors they are very pleasant and helpful. My guests and I were just thrilled to find such a gem. Wonderful space, very cozy, high ceilings.. very close to everything in Austin. We loved it and would def recommend the space. Everything was clean, great kitchen! I wish we cooked more while we were there! nice bathroom, comfy beds! all in all picture perfect!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.
