Let the sea breeze and the sound of the surf surround you in this light-drenched, fresh and airy, home. You are 3 minutes stroll to the 4 km, unspoilt, Arrawarra/Corindi beach and estuary. A short further walk leads to Arrawarra headland from where you can watch whales and dolphins play and more, beautiful beaches…
The house is set in the charming and peaceful, coastal village of Arrawarra, alongside the Solitary Islands Marine Park on the sub-tropical mid-north coast of New South Wales. This new, spacious beach house flows from the front to a wall of bi-fold doors and windows with overhead louvres, opening completely to blue skies, wide, covered decks (with alfresco dining) and the private, fully fenced and landscaped back garden.
The home boasts cool and elegant native timber floors throughout and two state of the art bathrooms each with walk-in, combined “rain” and hand-held showers and heated towel rails. The living, dining and kitchen areas are open-plan (with reverse cycle air-conditioning) whilst the 3 bedrooms are private and all look out over either front or back gardens. A study is also available to access a Wi-Fi printer or for the use of a desk. All bedrooms contain comfortable beds, tri-speed ceiling fans and large built-in wardrobes and shelving. The bedroom containing single beds also has a wall mounted TV and DVD.
The kitchen is FULLY equipped for preparing gourmet, family feasts or intimate dinners. You can even pick your own fresh, seasonal herbs from the garden. Alternatively, you can opt for a casual BBQ on the back decks. The dining room table can seat 8, whilst the breakfast bar seats 3 and the outside table and chairs, accommodate 6 people. Spare deck chairs and drinks table are also provided. The brand new washing machine and dryer are concealed in the beautifully conceived, second bathroom.
This eco-friendly home was designed to blend with the local environment and beachside community, whilst no expense has been spared in the interior design and appointments. This property was created to be flexible and so it’s perfect for families with kids, couples and/or groups of friends. The fully fenced front and back gardens minimise the risk of the kids and pets, escaping!
Surfing, swimming, fishing, bushwalking and cycling are all minutes on foot from your front gate, making it the perfect get-away from the bustle of big cities. When the tide is right, there is a 0.5km surf break off the headland – perfect for a long ride on your long board! You will be able to explore ancient aboriginal fish ponds which nestle into Arrawarra Headland. The added bonus of Solitary Islands Marine Park, just off the coast of Arrawarra, contains many excellent diving and snorkelling sites.
Surf school, surfboard hire, sky-diving on to Arrawarra beach (from Coffs Harbour airport) and extra bike hire (we provide 2 bikes for your general use), are all available from Arrawarra beach camping ground (next to your beach), which also has a small general store for newspapers, ice-creams and other basic items.

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Peter and I are mostly retired and were professionals in civil engineering and law. We worked in Australia, UK and more recently, 9.5 years in Hong Kong where we met. We moved back to Australia in 2007 to a rainforest about 1.5 hours away and to enjoy both a tree change and a sea change. We moved with 2 stray alley cats rescued from outside my office in Central, Hong Kong, who are still with us and reluctantly enjoy travelling between the rainforest and the beach.
Why the Owner Chose Arrawarra:
Peter and I bought this property because of its perfect location on an estuary and beach on the mid-north coast of NSW, Australia. The area had not been ruined by commercial development and beckoned us with its charming, secluded, coastal village atmosphere. In 2010 we demolished the old house and built a brand new one in harmony with the local community and environment. We certainly have not been disappointed and love staying there, ourselves whenever we get the opportunity.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The best thing about Arrawarra is the peace and quiet and proximity to the beach and long walks and swims and looking for whales and watching the dolphins, play. Only 6 minutes drive to the nearby town of Woolgoolga means that amenities are all close at hand. As Coffs Harbour airport is only 30 minutes drive, it is an easy trip from Sydney by air (1 hour) and a million miles from care...
