Come enjoy our Northwestern Montana getaway. Located 6 miles South of Eureka, MT. Just outside of Rexford and two minutes to the Lake Koocanusa marina, this can be your vacation home away from home.
We offer a 3 bedroom home with room to sleep 6 to 8 (couch and roll away cot). The master has a queen bed with its own private Bath. There is a queen bed in the iron room and a twin over full bed in the western room. Two bathrooms ensure no lines in the mornings. Each room has its own heater so everyone can be as comfortable as they want. The kitchen has a full stove, refrigerator, microwave, and all the needed cook utensils. The dishwasher is whoever doesn’t cook. A full laundry room with washer and dryer is available for guest use. Flying into the area? Weve got that covered with soap and shampoo, laundry detergent, and dish detergent. We have a TV with a Blu-ray player and a small collection of movies to enjoy after the sun has set. We also offer a PS2 to keep the kids amused. There is also a large selection of books to while away a quiet afternoon. The deck offers views of the mountains and Montana's big sky. If you’re quite the deer will browse in the yard just feet from where you sit.
We are located along the 90 mile long Lake Koocanusa that was created by the building of the Libby Dam. Lake Koocanusa offers boating and fishing as well as beaches to enjoy a picnic lunch. The Tobacco Valley is known as the banana belt of Montana for its more tropical climes. Long days and clear nights make for a Montana vacation you will want to come back to.
Canada is 16 miles away. Waterton Lakes National Park is approximately 3 ½ hours away, and Fernie Ski Resort is 90 minutes away in British Columbia (remember your passport). Glacier National Park is 90 minutes away. Big Mountain Ski Resort is one hour away in Whitefish. These plus many other outdoor activities are available within a short drive from the cabin. Some of these include 3 local golf courses, River and Lake Kayaking, Rafting, Horseback Rides, Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Hiking, Cross Country Skiing, and Rock Climbing.
For those a little less on the adventuress side there is the small towns of Rexford and Eureka to explore. Both have wonderful restaurants were you can get good meals all day long. Eureka offers several quaint shops for those seeking antiques or that special Montana gift to remember your vacation.
Seasonal events include the Lincoln county fair. The Bull Thing is the big attraction at the Lincoln County Fair. This event is strictly bull riding and the big purse draws top bull riders by invitation from all over Montana, the U.S. and Canada.
The Quilt Show is held every August in Eureka. During the summer you can enjoy the Amish Auction including quilts, crafts, machinery, gazebos, log cabins and baked goods as well as stay for dinner on Friday nights.

The pictures on line of the "Cabin in the Woods" does not do this Wonderful place justice!! We appreciated the ease of which it was to rent and the comfort we experienced when we stayed here. We had a fabulous time from starting with our morning coffee enjoying the view, laying on the beach on the lake, to ending the evening with a hot fire. My husband loved cooking on the grill. The steaks had never tasted so good! Thank you to the Chester family for allowing my family to have a wonderful vacation in a beautiful cozy home. We rented the cabin for a New Year's ski trip. It's a great central location for Turner Mountain, Whitefish and Fernie. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The owner's were fantastic to deal with - very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

WOW beautiful, my wife and i picked this vacation spot to spend ou 23rd anniversary and could not find one thing to be disappointed about.This is the perfect getaway for any occasion, very quiet and a very nice cabin.We can definatly see ourselves spending our 24th and 25th at this cabinRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Fantastic cabin. Very cozy with modern conveniences. There are laundry facilities in the cabin, the beds are comfortable and it is very clean. It is fully furnished with a deck for your viewing pleasure. The surrounding area is beautiful. Its close proximity to Lake Koocanusa, Eureka and Kalispell make it a prime spot for recreation and shopping. If you are looking for a relaxing, get away from it all vacation, this is it. About the owner: We are both in the Medical field. We enjoy kayaking and white water rafting as well as camping in the summer. We both grew up in Montana, so coming to the cabin is like coming home.
Why the Owner Chose Rexford:
I inherited the house from my father and wanted to keep it for friends and family to use and enjoy. We completed a full remodel of the house during several trips in 2011 and want to share our home in the woods with others.

Lake Koocanusa is a short stroll away and can make for a very invigorating start to the day. Day picnic areas are located along the shoreline and the lake is a great place for the kids to splash around in. While walking, you will pass herds of deer that will perk up at your passing, but are accustomed to people enough to not be spooked.
