Below is the layout & description of Be by the Sea:
Ground Level: Entrance and one bedroom (BR1) with a queen-size futon below twin bunk bed and a half-bath. (Sleeps 3)
First Level: The fully-equipped Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room with a queen-size sleeper-sofa, Washer & Dryer, a 2nd Master Bedroom with a queen-size bed (BR2), and a second full bathroom off the hall. The large screened-in deck off of the living room has a round patio table with 4 chairs, as well as a bar with two bar stools. It is a perfect place to watch those awesome sunsets!
Second Level: The Master Bedroom (BR3) with a romantic, mosquito-netted, king-size bed has a walk-in shower featuring a "Rainhead" and a regular shower head. The Master bedroom deck faces the Gulf of Mexico, and has four white Adirondack chairs for sunning & relaxing! The view from this floor is awe inspiring! Watch for the dolphins! The second level also has a third bedroom (BR4) with a queen-size bed and full bath.
Third Level: Features a loft with a queen-size sleeper-sofa and a private porch overlooking the Gulf of Mexico for sunsets; It also has a clear view of the St. Joseph Bay! The home has five TV's, two VCR's, and four DVD players with videos. There are also games to play and books to read for the sun shy!
You will have the perfect vacation when you stay at Be By The Sea/West Indies. (The house is called by both names)

Mike and I fell in love with Cape San Blas from the moment we stepped foot on the beach! It felt like going to the beaches of our childhoods! Uncrowded (even in the summer), shells to find, bald eagles flying overhead, turtle nests in the dunes, and those marvelous dolphins jumping in and out of the surf! The dolphins actually helped our Realtor sell us our house ... we were standing on the porch off the Master Bedroom debating our investment when out of nowhere jumped these two beautiful mammals! We were sold. Our Realtor was happy! Come see what we saw and just relax ... the sound of the surf from our porches is amazing!

We spent a week last Sept. in West Indies. Our family had a great time. Being so close to the ocean was a big plus ! The house accomodated our family just fine, with more than enough room. The only thing we were disappointed about was missing the sea turles hatch from their nests. There were 4 or 5 within a short distance of the property they were supposed to hatch during our stay. The kids and I went out almost every night around midnight to check on the nests some of the kids even spent the last night sleeping on the beach by one of the nests , we were sure it would hatch. The shells we found were also a great surprise we never expected to find such great shells this far up the coast. We norally find such shells on Sanibel and that area of Florida. We also enjoyed the fact that the Cape is not at all built up, so it is very private and you can even have bon fires on the beach at night! That was another HUGE plus. We also really enjoyed being able to go to the bay side of the island which our children found to be very interesting and a short drive down the road. Thank you for sharing your home Keli!

We spent Spring Break at this home and loved it!! I found the home nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen had all my cooking needs and loved the views from each level. The home is located down a street with only 2 other homes and is very private. I loved the updated store Trading Post at the end of the street. It has everything you need from grocery and deli and it's a short walk down the street!! The home has good views of the gulf but does have a large home to the front right that tends to block views from the screen porch during sunset. The 3rd level Master is fabulous and the deck has the best views morning and night. We loved this home and hope to return with more family soon. You will not be disappointed in this rental.

We enjoyed staying in the home, there are several amenities available such as the kitchen supplies and beach chairs. The beach is beautiful there, one of the nicest areas on the Cape.Sleeps plenty of people, only 3 basic bedrooms for adults, great downstairs room for kids and a loft with the best view in the house. When we were there my wife and her sister were able to help get a baby sea turtle rescued, made a phone call and the wildlife officials arrived and helped rescue the turtle

My family stayed at Be By the Sea, last Sept.2008. We had a blast. We also split the month at Sea Glass because of the restoration of the beach in front of Be By the Sea. Both homes are terrific. The Davies are just about the nicest people to work with. They go that extra mile to make you happy as a clam. Both homes are loaded with extras, anything you need to enjoy the beach. Keli, We had a wonderful time in your beautiful home. The best 'time away' we have had. Even though it was colder than normal the first week, the last two made up for it. We did see dolphins and a lot of them!!!!!!!!! The beach is awesome. So clean. The house was like our own. Hope we are able to come again, or maybe even stay at your other home in Sea Grass. Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!

We just got home from spending a wonderful week in your beach home, It is beautiful and had everything we needed. Appreciated the new bathroom on the main floor. Also enjoyed the pool in SeaGrass, weather and water was great and we caught enough fish to have a fantastic fish fry. I wouldn't recommend anyone ask the cape san blas rental office about the pool, they stated that was between us and the owner and if there was a issue they were not to be involved...oh well, a great time was had by all. As to the pool comment, I am on the board of directors at SeaGrass Subdivision and many of us that own homes in SeaGrass also own other properties on the Cape. We had a fabulous time. Your home is beautiful! We could not have asked for more. We enjoyed the state park many times. The beach at the park is beautiful. Thank you so much and hopefully we will find our way back to "Be By The Sea" in the future. My mom joined us the first night on her way to Destin and she LOVED your place. They spent the entire day on Thursday driving around Appalachacola (?) I am sure that she would love to talk to you. Thanks again!
