Silverwoods Chalet is one of the higher end luxury chalets on Silver Star Mountain and it is everything you would hope for in a Canadian ski chalet. It is very private, nestled in a beautiful pine forest. Silverwoods is located on The Knoll, close to the top of the new Silver Woods High Speed Quad chairlift and only a short and beautiful walk to the village. Our vacation home has one of the best ski-in/ski-out access points on the mountain - you can ski right out of the back door onto Aberdeen Skiway, a beautiful and gentle run that gives you access to two chairlifts and the rest of the mountain.
Silverwoods Chalet is beautifully decorated and sleeps up to 11 people. There are two large master bedrooms, both with en-suite (rain shower, and spa tub overlooking the Bugaboo Mountains), a bedroom that can sleep up to 3 people (one double bed and one twin), a den with a pull-out sofa bed, and a living room with a pull-out sofa bed. All mattresses are premium quality and all linens are provided.
Silverwoods Chalet has a designer kitchen with beautiful marble countertops and bar, and is fully equipped with dishware, glassware, pots & pans, baking and cooking gear, and all the utensils and tools you will need. The cupboards are stocked with spices and basic provisions for your stay. The dining room is off of the living room in a circular windowed room with stunning views of the snow-covered trees and the Monashee Mountains. Silverwoods was designed for entertaining and the dining room is perfect for intimate dinners or dinners for up to 12 guests. The family room has a 46inch LCD TV, DVD and VCR players, and cable TV. The chalet is outfitted with WIFI internet.
A private hot tub lies in a stunning gazebo in the forest - a perfect place to rejuvenate after a day of skiing or to watch the snow fall with a glass of wine or mug of hot chocolate.
Silverwoods Chalet has it's own ski room equipped with a boot warmer/dryer and storage for all of your ski gear.
The snow at Silver Star Mountain is truly the best snow in British Columbia - it is renowned for its dry, feather light champagne powder. With over 115 marked ski runs, there is something for every level of skier on the mountain and the runs are stunning! It really is a magical place and it offers the ultimate Canadian winter experience. When the lifts close there are loads of winter activities for all ages - magical sleigh rides through pristine wilderness trails, ice skating on an outdoor natural pond, hours of fun at Tube Town, dinner and fondue tours either by snowshoe, sleigh ride or snow-cat, and exploring Silver Star back country by snowmobile, to name a few of the adventures awaiting you!
Silverwoods Chalet has a no smoking and no pets policy.

I traveled from Florida to stay with family at Silver Star for 4 days and 3 nights. 6 adults and 1 child. PLENTY of room at the Chalet. Could have accomodated a few more adults without any problem whatsoever. Immediate trail off the back of the home that led down to a lower lift with a ticket office. So convienient that it seemed too good to be true. We cooked in every night. HUGE kitchen area, HUGE dining table. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I did a lot of looking around for a place with ski in / ski out on the mountain. I highly recommend this Chalet. The person I worked with to secure the location (Katie) was great! The on-site caretakers were very helpful to all of us. I really have zero negatives to write about this place. Space for 3 cars (2 in parking spot and 1 in garage). We are already talking about our next trip here! Thank you! - Bryan - St. Petersburg, FLRecommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our recent stay at Silverwoods has ranked up there as one of our best family vacations of all time. Silverwoods is a luxurious home that is extremely comfortable and spacious. From the well-equipped gourmet kitchen to the peaceful hot tub to the easy ski-in/out, Silverwoods is the perfect chalet. Silver Star is the absolute best family ski resort, with everything in easy walking distance and a warm inviting village with family-related events every day. Our group, which consisted of 4 children and 5 adults, enjoyed tubing, skating, downhill skiing, nordic skiing, even the horse drawn trolley ride for hot chocolate. And the snow was excellent! We can hardly wait to return to Silver Star and Silverwoods next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

The chalet is exactly as described with a fabulous view of the forest and valley. We found it very comfortable and well equipped. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and the kitchen has everything you need to stay for a while and prepare nice meals. The eating area is very nice with a round table for good conversation. It's easy to ski out the back door and the village is an easy quick walk. Silver Star is an excellent ski resort with lots to do for everyone. The cross country trails are also superb. We enjoyed skating on the pond and tubing in the tube park area. There's something for everyone to do. The owner was very pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed our stay very much!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We did not know what to expect when we arrived and were thrilled with the accomodations. The home is welcoming, nice flow and the kitchen well stocked (honestly, it was great) and you are wanting for nothing. The beds are very comfortable, the place very clean and inviting. Bathrooms were well equipped and the massive massage shower upstairs was super. We brought people who had never been to Silverstar and they had a wonderful first visit to the mountain. This home accomodated our two families very nicely. The owners were very receptive and helpful. We would definately stay at this home again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
