Charming 1870's cottage (completely renovated) situated on one acre with beautiful gardens. Walk to the Black River. House has complete kitchen, dining room seating for eight, living room with wood burning stove and one and a half baths. There is an outdoor shower (hot and cold) and a large deck. Beautiful prennnial gardens, water feature and meadow to watch the swallows swoop.
Perfect weekend/ski house. 10 minute drive to Jiminy Peak Mt. Resort.
House is located in the quaint village of Stephentown Center with easy access to all the Berkshires and NY Captial District have to offer. Terrific biking and hiking right from the house. Get to a downhill ski area in ten minutes or cross country on many trails nearby. Great restaurants in nearby Williamstown, Pittsfield or Lenox. Two art museums are in Williamstown and MASS MoCA is just eight minutes further in North Adams. Pittsfield has fine dining, live theatre and the Berkshire Museum. Lovely shopping in Lenox and outlets in Lee. Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Summer music (BSO at Tanglewood,) theater (Willimatown Theater Festival, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Shakespeare & Co. and dance at Jacob's Pillow. Easy access to Mass Pike or Taconic Parkway. Just 3 miles from the Massachusetts border or 30 minutes to Albany, NY and Amtrak station with taxi service to door.
