  You could spend more on a better known establishment, but you would be wasting your money. Tierra Pacifica may be small in regards to the number of units, but it's big on services. These newer condo's are very clean and well kept. The cleaning service, grounds keepers and maintenance workers pay attention to detail and are very polite and trustworthy. There is a well stocked grocery store and a top rated restaurant located in the complex, which my wife and I found very convenient. The pool is one of the best I've seen as far as design and landscaping. It's also a salt pool which means no foul chlorine smell or burning eyes, and for an added bonus, at times there are monkeys in the trees close by. Doug, the owner of the unit we stayed in also lives on site and manages the complex along with his wife, Sheri. We found this to be a big plus when we needed quick and reliable answers to questions about the area, things to do or good places to eat. They are both extremely knowledgeable not only about Costa Rica, but the local community as well. My wife and I agree that our stay at Tierra Pacifica was a big factor in making our Costa Rican vacation so enjoyable. We hope to return in the not too distant future and would highly recommend Tierra Pacifica to anyone considering a tropical vacation to the Pacific shores of this most beautiful country.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  I had the wonderful opportunity of enjoying the surf and work life for a month in Costa Rica. Doug and Sheri were fabulous host during my visit, and full of invaluable information. It doesn't get any better, the condo is peaceful, beautiful, resourceful, safe, and pretty much, as close as you get to being home. For me the internet access was an important piece for my stay, as it was necessary for me to work. The internet worked great (They had a backup connection just in case). I was able to communicate with my clients and remote systems. I had to use Skype for the first time and was very impressed with how things worked. I would defiantly visit the condos again without second thoughts. The condo is a one stop spot for everything. On the first floor is the local Super Market, and friendly restaurant/bar called Amigos. Oh, before I forget, the pool was beautiful too! So lush with tropical fauna and wild life. Location was perfect for the surf access too. :o) I miss it already! Pura Vida, DJR

  First of all, thank you for making our vacation the most comfortable and fun it possibly could have been! This by far has been our best international trip, and we travel every year. The flexibility offered for our late arrival (11:30pm) and early departure (3:30am to leave for LIR catch early flight) made the trip so much better for us in ways I cannot describe. The main thing was the flexibility allowed my mind to rest easy while planning everything else. This allowed us to maximize our time in Costa Rica based on our schedule, rather than forcing us to lose a day of relaxation due to traveling constraints. We survived the late evening trek from Liberia after picking up our rental car. OR consider this: Doug and Sheri can set up your rental car for you and have the car delivered to Tierra Pacifica so you do not have to deal with the rental company at all! They will pick you up from the airport. Talk about hospitality! Two full sets of keys were provided for the property. Upon arrival we received a cell phone for local calls. There was a storage closet by the covered parking area. The closet was very big and secure with a locked heavy iron door. In the condo on the first floor is tile throughout with local made Costa Rican furniture. The ceilings were high, allowing you to feel how spacious it was. There were two AC units which kept everything very comfortable. The kitchen was to die for, a true chef's kitchen. It had granite counter tops with stainless steal appliances all immaculate. It had all the utensils for cooking needed; pots, pans, Tupperware, glasses etc. Another great thing about the condo was NO BUGS! Thank you for having the place bug free! On the first floor there was a very conveniently located half bath with a full sized washer and dryer. No need to bring towels or anything beach related, they had it covered. The loft upstairs was great. It had a queen sized bed and an updated bathroom as beautiful as the kitchen. Great feature; this condo has full use of the community pool, gym and tennis courts at Club Arbol.There are nature trails that go all around the property, look out for howler monkeys. Our favorite activity turned out being Barra Honda National Park Cavern tour. We went deep inside a cavern.They also assisted us with a trip to Rincon De La Vieja, great waterfall hike. The 1st floor of the property there is a small grocery store and Amigos bar & grille. Everything was so great, Tierra Pacifica was truly paradise! Enjoy!

  This place is terrific. Sheri and Doug catered to our every need. The Condo was as nice as they get, modern appliances and beautifully decorated and furnished. Stocked with coffee, water, and a pineapple to get you started. The store in the condo complex allows you to stock with things you may need. We signed up for the all inclusive Vacation with no regrets. Doug makes the best pineapple pancakes. We ate at all the local restaurants some five star. Endless activities, from the beautiful pool/spa/yoga/tennis area in the complex to zip lining, baby turtle watching, dinner cruises, beach hopping, deep sea fishing ( Teko stile caught a Mahi Mahi 30 pounder), 4 wheeling or just about anything else you want to do. We will do it again sometime very soon and suggest that everyone hang loose and eat sleep and play like a Costa Rican and you can't help but enjoy yourself. Ronald also was friendly and helpful with anything we asked of him.
