Enjoy this freshly-refurbished 3-bedroom ranch house, just 37 gorgeous miles from Yosemite National Park! Access via a newly-paved two-lane road means you won’t have any trouble finding this place.
This fully furnished house features two separate living areas: one where you can play pool or ping-pong, or watch TV by the cozy wood-burning stove, the other one can be closed off to enjoy quiet conversation by the fireplace. Central heating keeps the place warm if you prefer not to build fires.
The Master Bedroom has an attached bathroom, queen bed, satellite TV; Second Bedroom has a queen bed, and the Kid’s Room has bunk beds. All bedrooms have closets, mirrors, night stands & lamps; Master and Kid’s Rooms have chests of drawers; Second Bedroom has a dressing table.
Relax outdoors at the picnic table under a huge shade tree, or at the small picnic table on the covered patio, or set up some chairs on the covered porch for a casual afternoon.
Every room in the house has a great view; the Family, Living, Master and Second Bedrooms look out over a meadow to the forest beyond. The Kitchen, Dining, and Kid’s Room look into the forest where you’ll often see deer and wild turkeys ambling by.
This house is far enough away from the road for complete privacy, yet not isolation. At night if you look the right direction you may see the porch light of the one neighboring house that is visible.
Every season here is spectacular. New-fallen snow sparkling on tree branches; wildflowers and apple blossoms greeting you in spring; afternoon breezes and long, warm summer evenings followed by cool nights filled with more stars than you’ve ever seen; and finally the lingering colors of autumn to finish out the year.

We spent a weekend at this property. The house was in a very serene and peaceful setting at the same time within 15 minutes of Mariposa town center. The drive to Yosemite National Park was very scenic and enjoyable. The house itself is very spacious, in excellent condition and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable and memorable. We were really sad to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you! We love it when people enjoy the area we cherish so much. You were great guests!

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped house. Spacious. No problem to keep the house cool, even at 100+F! Nice pool/pingpong table. And so quiet! Deer walking through the garden. A good base for exploring Yosemite, no more than an hour's drive. And for stargazing! Very special: the wonderful smell through the open windows early mornings. Only remark: be prepared for little insects setting off the fire alarm, which can cause quite a fright in conditions of extreme drought!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Those darn little gnats are gonna drive me crazy! They sneak in the doors if left open. I trying to remedy the problem. Sorry if it caused you worry.

The listing description was accurate. The house is located in a beautiful and peacefull area. It's a very comfortable house with all the commodities needed for a family to stay a few days including washer and dryer. Inside the house was clean. The only thing I would recomend is making sure the main entrance is cleaned before guests arrive, since we found lots of dead bugs and spiders by the door. There was also a nest of wasps by the porch which scared us a little. Other than that, it was nice to see cows outside in the prarie and deers walking by the house. The drive to Yosemite from the house was beatiful. I wish the A/C would have been working the days we stayed, but as we were leaving the A/C technician was coming to fix it. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: So glad you had a nice stay. The Cooler has been fully repaired! Sorry for the inconvenience. You were great guests!

Comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms. Beautiful setting with cows and deer. Only issue was the air conditioner made such horrible noises that we were afraid to use it. Slept fairly comfortably with windows open. Very appreciative of all the local attraction brochures in the home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home was in a lovely pasture in a mountain setting. It was very quite and comfortable. The only noise was from the cattle in front of the home. Each day we were visited by a herd of deer. Time to Yosemite was about an hour. The pool table, ping pong table and fooseball table as well as the informational pamphlets were greatly appreciated. The only issue we had was the air did not work. Their was an attic vent that was supposed to cool the house but it stopped working the first night we were there.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for the info on the cooler. We had a repairman out, looks like he needs to return! Sorry for the inconvenience.

It was really cool staying here. Kids will love this place lot as they have games like ping pong, billiards, Foosball table and other stuff. It was comfortable to cook and we felt as if we are in our home. The property was clean, well maintained as shown in the photos. Sure we will choose the same house if we visit Yosemite again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you, we are glad you had a enjoyable stay!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: The owner was raised in or around Yosemite and claims it as home. Currently business commitments keep him on the road a good part of the year, but he returns as often as possible.
Why the Owner Chose Mariposa:
My children grew up here and now have fine lives of their own--it's time to share this special place with the rest of the world!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Yosemite is a great place, and everyone should see it--but you could have a very relaxing vacation without leaving this property! The starry nights are amazing (and don't forget meteor showers, especially around August 12th!) and the peaceful setting and breezes whispering in the trees will regenerate you.
