Location: St Germain-en-Laye, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (5 minutes from St Germain-en-Laye)
Accommodations: House Boat, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 3-4)
We would like to welcome you to our charming house boat on La Seine, five minutes from St Germain-en-Laye. In front of an island full of trees and birds (herons, swans, ducks, fisher-kings), sunrises, sunsets, and full moons reflected on the water, sunny and calm in the most exclusive area of Paris suburbs where Monet and Pissaro created Impressionism. No huge boats passing by to disturb your happy stay. Next to the rowing club.
Foreigners appreciate living here. You will live the charm of this 1900s boat where the famous violinist Ivry Gitliz lived for ten years and welcomed his friends Yehudi Menuhin and Rostropovitch.
We can not offer you luxury, but a basic comfort which was the work of a charming, retired, American couple who owned the boat before us.
Eighty-square-meter, sunny dining room, furnished kitchen, double-size living room where part of it we have arranged into a child's bedroom. Bathroom and a big parent's bedroom. Original contemporary paintings on the walls.
Attached to our boat, a small rowing boat with a motor with which you can drive around to the islands of Bougival, Chatou: Ile des Impressionistes.
