We've been travailing to Central America on several occasions. We've done all inclusive hotels, eco resorts, etc, but it was the first time we decided to rent a private residence outside of US. And I have to say we had the best accommodations by far of all the other places we stayed at. We came with 3 children (12, 10, and 3) and their grandmother. This place has to offer something to every age group. The ocean side is perfect for boogie boarding, building sandcastles and watching sunsets. The estuary side is great for water sports (use of small motor boat with a driver is included if you pay for gas) such as water skiing, long boarding, etc. We also went snorkeling, fishing, and crocodiles watching (in faraway mangroves) The pool is clean, warm and excellent for relaxing. It had a shallow end were our 3 year old could play. All of the outdoor living areas are very comfortable and well thought through. Our daughter was taking a nap outside in a hammock every afternoon while her grandmother was enjoying a book in a cool breeze at the ocean side of the property. The family that was taking care of us was very attentive and tried their best to meet our every need. Unfortunately we speak very little Spanish and they spoke even less English, but somehow we were able to communicate without any major problems. Daniel (the owner of the house) was extremely helpful and answered every question we had for him regarding his property and traveling in El Salvador in general. He has recommended an outstanding guide to show off some of the highlights of the El Salvadore and we have been very pleased with all of our trips. The property itself is very comfortable, well maintained and clean. Every room has an AC, but we kept ours off for most of the nights because it was cool enough with windows open. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower. Overall property is very comfortable, well decorated and cozy. We felt like we spent a vacation in our own private resort and with an outstanding service. We are definitely coming back.

Great pleasant surprise!
Great pleasant surprise!
We are two Mexican families living in Guatemala that like travelling together to relax and have a good time (no cooking or cleaning stress) and are bit special regarding accommodations so my main concern about this house was it met our expectations… and boy it surpass them all! Bedrooms: Very comfortable!... the 3 bedrooms rooms are very comfortable, great bed and two of them with TV and DVD (great for the kids) and each with their own bathroom, and I must say great bathrooms something you can’t really appreciate in the photographs. Outdoor facilities: Great!... this is really the best part of the house, and once again you are not really able to fully appreciate through the photographs. The house is situated exactly on the bar and due to that you have full access to the beach from one side and to the estuary (really clean water that comes from the same ocean and really calm for taking a swim or water sports) on the other side. All the facilities are a really big open spaces that helps a lot to deal with the hot weather; you have in both sides big “ranchos” (palm tree roof areas) both with outdoor furniture of great taste that will let you stay during all day outside. The one we really enjoyed was the one at the beachfront that is also beside the pool. Service: Couldn’t be better!... As I said we have been living in Guatemala for a long time, and we have been able to corroborate that the people in El Salvador are the friendliest and with the best sense of hospitality, these people really make you feel at home. Morena and Chamba (along with their family) will help you in any way they can to guarantee that you will really enjoy your stay. In addition, as already mentioned, we were looking just to relax, so the owner helped us finding Mary, a cook that was great cooking all type of food so it was a great choice. Also Daniel (the owner) was great helping prior to the arrival and also checking that everything was ok during our stay. Add-ons: Unexpected!... I must say that this was one of the best surprises, the owner has a small boat that can be used for all purpose (obviously you have to pay for the gas). We love water sports (water skiing) so for us this was really great. Additionally the house is equipped with pool and beach accessories (towels, umbrellas and body boards) Overall we were pleasantly surprised and had a great holiday, we will return for sure in the near future. I would like to really recommend better photographs.

A private resort!
A private resort!
My group of 7 Americans from age 3 to 50 stayed for a week and could not have had a better time! I'm not sure that the photos and description are an accurate representation of this place - it is much more lovely. The host, Daniel, is extremely helpful in giving assistance prior to arrival (hotel recommendation in San Sal, directions to the grocery store, arranging a cab and rental car) and during our stay he called often to check in on us and help out. I would suggest that any renters follow his advice and recommendations - he did a great job. The caretakers on the property are a very very nice family who help out but give you complete privacy as well. You need to be able to manage a 4 wheel drive to get there due to the drive on the beach for the last 1/2 mile and there is little English spoken in El Sal, but those are the only minor issues a person could have here. The kitchen functions very well for cooking for the week and there are certainly good excursions in the area (Guatamala, volcano hikes, La Libertad etc.) but it is also the kind of place where a person could just stay put for the week and play in the ocean and the pool. The place worked especially well for my 3 year old who was able to run quite free around the one or two acre property. And the 19 year olds were very happy on the property with the added benefit that we didn't have to worry about them getting into any trouble because the property is isolated enough to prevent that. My husband refers to the place as a private resort. I had minor reservations about safety in El Sal prior to arrival but was clearly misled by on-line accounts - we met only the nicest people who were very willing to assist us despite our poor Spanish. We encountered few westerners but this was not an issue as everyone was so nice. We never repeat visits to an area but this might be the first!
