To Do/what you may need: Right here on the mountain and Lake: (Things you can do without getting in your car) Fishing, hiking, sightseeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and a vist to Saw Dust Cafe (a general store, as well as great food and drinks) Gloversville: 8 minutes~ A quaint main street with shopping, dining, and antiquing. There is also a Walmart as well as several grocery and drug stores. Vail Mills/Broadalbin: 15 minutes~ A drive in movie theater, Adirondack Animal Land Zoo, and a wildlife museum. Saratoga: 45 minutes~ Horse racing, Casino, upscale shopping and dining. Lake George: 1.5 Hours~ Lake boat cruises, miniature golf, wax museum, old time arcade, water parks, Great Escape/Six Flags theme park.

Lake Edward is a small private lake located in the Sacandaga Lake region. Come enjoy your very own lake with no motor boats to bother you! Kayak, fish, or just go for a lazy paddle in our canoe. If you're looking for a peaceful or romantic get-a-way then our Lake Edward Cabin is for you. Spend the evening by a crackling fire, relax in the jetted tub, then curl up on the couch and get ready to watch a movie- literally hundreds of choices from Netflix! Enjoy Saturday or Sunday breakfast at the Saw Dust cafe, which is within walking distance of the cabin. They serve dinner and cocktals too, and there is also a small general store. Just a short drive down the mountain you can visit the quaint main street of Gloversville, where you'll find antique shops, clothing stores, a whole foods harvest market, and dining. There is also a Walmart and several grocery stores. If you're up for a day trip try Saratoga (45 minutes) or Lake George (1 hr 20 minutes) So much to do, yet feels so far away from it all!
