My only hesitation in recommending this place is that it may not be available the next time we want to rent it. It was spectacular in all respects, very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. A short walk into Lahaina made it easy for all of us to be independent and not rely on a car. The beach is not crowded and is safe for any level swimmer. We watched the whales from the deck and could not have enjoyed our week more. The kitchen is fully equipped, barbecue grills at the pool, and anything that you need within a 5 minute walk.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Everything was excellent at this beautiful condo. Quiet neighborhood, yet right next to everything that's happening. Easy walk to food, entertainment, etc. Beach front location is amazing, you can walk out a little gate directly onto the beach. There are multiple well-furnished large spacious outdoor spaces with ocean views, and the living room couches are soooooo comfy and cozy. Large kitchen, great overall layout, great bathrooms, and tasteful, comfortable, elegantly modern decor. This place is also minutes away from Maui Dive Shop and really excellent shore diving sites if you are into scuba diving; I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

We could not have found a better vacation home on Maui. Having been to Maui over a dozen times in the past, I have to say this was the best location and nicest condo. A well kpt secret. The description and pictures were perfect and matched reality. The beach front condo balcony was the best. Excellent views, large area and comfortable seating. Upon arriving, make sure you hit Terminal C as you exit the airport -- that's Costco in case you get confused. Stock up on food and drink and you'll be prepared for eating in, as the kitchen gives you all you need and the dining table on the balcony has the best views. Looking forward to a return trip and highly recommend this property to all. Many thanks to Larry, for sharing his home.

Gorgeous property with amazing amenities. Breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset. Close enough to walk in to Lahaina for dinner and avoid the parking hassles. Owner was very professional and easy to work with. Property manager was also very helpful.

We have traveled to Maui many times, and this was by far the best property we've experienced. Everything about the unit was exactly as described, or better. Baby Beach is perfect for a nice dip in the ocean and the lanai was wonderful for sunbathing or watching the activity on the beach below. The location is perfect for walking to town or to the grocery store, which we did several times. We are already considering dates to book our next stay! Thanks Larry for sharing your beautiful place with us!!

Fabulous accomodations

Our family recently had a wonderful vacation in Maui while staying at this condo. The location was great (so close to the beach my husband literally threw an ice cube into the ocean from our lanai), the condo itself was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable, the amenities (pool, toys, onsite manager) were really useful and baby beach was perfect for our kids. It's often hard to know exactly what you'll be getting when you find accomodations online but this particular condo exceeded expectations - it's more beautiful than the photos and descriptions suggested - we'd highly recommend it.

Ocean Front Puunoa condominium.

This is a beautifully decorated and perfectly located ocean front beach condo about 5 minutes walk from the best town on Maui, Lahaina. We were able to stay at the condominium complex several years ago, and they keep this property in immaculate condition. We can't say enough about this perfect setting for our yearly trip to the islands, and plan to return next year. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in the perfect condo in the most beautiful place on earth. Sorry to use so many superlatives, but it fits this place!

This condo is gorgeous, immaculate and perfectly located. My family just got back from spending a week there and it is the perfect spot for a family who just wants to relax. The beach was perfect for us - very calm and warm waters in which my 4 year-old swam in every day while her Daddy snorkeled. I sat on the deck/on the beach and read, read, read. The condo life was great - no pressure to make reservations/eat out and, as the property is quite spacious, we never felt on top of each other or eager to get out for activities. We are already saving our pennies for our return trip. I would absolutely recommend this property to a friend.

An absolutely lovely condo, w/spectacular views. All the comforts of home and more. Relax w/a book, walk the shoreline, dine out or stay in and enjoy the family. Perfect Vacation

Larry, Thank you for sharing your beautiful Maui home. The location, layout and general vibe were perfect for our family. The condo was virtually baby proof for our 1 year old--with the help of Akamai Mothers the place was completely baby-proofed. Our three year old was in heaven on baby beach and at the pool and jacuzzi. The whole family enjoyed the beautiful view from the HUGE lanai. I miss that lanai so much! Also, the ease of walking into town with the kids and the very short trip to the grocery store made everything so easy. We are always searching for a place that is kid-friendly and near good surf breaks and we found it at your home! While we are a little weary from the long trip home to the East Coast, your condo, Maui and the town of Lahaina will surely beckon us back. All the best and thanks again, Alison

Far exceeded our expectations!

It is not very often that a person books an accomodation on blind faith and the property far exceeds what you hoped for...this unit was just that. The pictures do not fully capture how beautiful and spacious the condo is nor do they capture the proximity to the ocean and all of its beauty. The condo was well appointed with everything a person could need or want...from appliances to electronics to furniture and the views. The unit is spacious but yet inviting and homey - we never felt bad spending time "inside" as we enjoyed the condo so much. We have a 2 1/2 year and old and Baby Beach was perfect - hardly any waves and no undertow - a really safe place to bring children... not to mention the snorkelling you can do right off this beach!! The grounds of the complex were immaculate and extremely well cared for... onsite manager was very helpful. This is truly a "five star" property with close walking distance to the restaurants and shops. There is no question that we would recommend this to everyone and without a doubt we intend to go back - this property is great value for the money!

Spring Break March 2010

It was another perfect week in Puunoa. We really enjoy the condo, beautiful and spacious. The newly updated kitchen has everything we needs and we often had our breakfast there. Bedrooms are spacious and so comfortable. The master bath has a big soaking tub! We spent most of the day either on our lanai, or floating around in the ocean or swimming in the pool. We would often stroll into Lahaina for shopping and dinner. We love the casual feel of Lahaina and all the art and shops. We especially liked dinning at the Hard Rock Café and Bubba’s. This is truly a place in paradise. The condo is deluxe, the beach and ocean, the grounds are all beautiful. And the onsite managers were always available to make our stay perfect. And it always is. Great stay - didn't want to leave!

I did a lot of looking around when choosing our condo in West Maui - everything seems so appealing that it's really hard to decide where to stay. When we moved in to this place we were thrilled with what we found. First of all the location was great - within easy walking distance of Lahaina town but tucked away on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. We had spectacular ocean views from our lanais and there was a small quiet beach right there - good for someone who just wants to splash around a little (great for young children). Staying on this property was like being in the comfort of your own home with the benefits of having a hotel's ammenities. There was a little gym (which we didn't use) and a nice sized pool (which we did use). The pool side furniture was sturdy and comfortable and there was a humongous propane bbq for the use of the guests. Everything was well-kept and clean and the property managers were super friendly. The condo itself was spacious. The L-shaped couch was huge - very cosy kicking back to watch tv. The beds were comfortable. The master bath was beautiful. On top of it all, it was so quiet here - very relaxing. We were content and it was really hard to leave at the end of our vacation. We felt lucky to have found this place and will certainly be contacting Larry (the owner) next time we are looking to stay in West Maui.

Paradise at its Best!

My family and I have been vacationing in Hawaii for years. We discovered this spectacular property by accident, only locals really know about it. I refer to it as Maui's best kept secret! Once we found it, we booked and really fell in love all over again. Every single aspect is just perfect! All the accomodations are even better than they look in the ads. The only issue we had with this condo is that we never wanted to leave! Puunoa 205 is even more beautiful than the pictures indicate. Each time we entered, we were greeted with gorgeous views through expansive windows lining the living, dining, and master bedroom. We spent hours each day on the huge lanai admiring the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, the ships in the harbor, and the island of Lana'i. The condition and decor of the condo is supreme. We had so much room; our two daughters were thrilled to each have their own bedroom. This place felt much more like a home than a rental condo. We thoroughly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the full-size washer & dryer, the beach chairs & supplies, the iPod docking station, and the flat-screen TVs. The environment was so serene and gorgeous; we had the pool to ourselves each day of our visit! Being close to the Cannery Mall and Front St. was a real plus as well. Larry, This was my family's very first visit to Hawaii and my Husband Tom did his homework researching places to stay. We couldn't have chosen a more beautiful place to stay in Maui, We stayed at your condo #205 in Nov 08 and the remodel that you have done to the unit was gorgeous. The view was amazing and was a joy to wake up to every morning. When we return to Maui there is only one place that we will consider staying Puunoa Beach Estates Unit 205. This was our third stay at PB Estates and we will definitely come back again. Unit 205 is immaculately maintained and the views are spectacular. This is a great property for families. When our kids were younger, Baby Beach was perfect for them. Now as teenagers, they enjoy being on their own and walking into Lahaina for food and shopping. Definitely plan at least one meal by the pool with the great BBQ grills. Thanks, Larry, for allowing us to stay at your place. We will definitely be back to see the new renovations!

May 2009, was our third trip to Puunoa Beach Estates. It was our first visit to Condo 205.The remodel was beautifully done and we especially liked the addition of the den. The accommodations were four star and of course the oceanfront view was spectacular.
