Came here for a friends 40th B-day. All together we booked 4 units in this condominium . This was diffenately the Biggest and best room. I like the location of this condo because of its surroundings . Didn't like how windy it was though . Down the street were a bunch of restaurants and shopping . If you do visit kihei , be sure and stop into Hawaiian Cruisers and rent some scooters, it is a great way to do some sight seeing. The tiki bar is a great place to get some Burgers , and the shave ice at the market next door is the best place to get the "best shave ice" in town.(green outdoor market) BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS ! One of the best vacations I have ever taken.

Hi Dan, just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your place. Not only did it exceed our expectations but also provided all the comforts of a home away from home. Rhonda and I had a wonderful peaceful first week. A little beach, maybe a drive, a cool drink and dinner on the Lani. Week two the kids arrived and lets just say the pace picked up a little. All in all I think it was one of our best holidays ever. Your condo has a great lived in happy vibe. Its peaceful, uncrowded, and sunset perfect. We visited my bro down at Kamaole sands and I found it busy, road noisy and a little uptight! So Thanks Dan. I enjoyed our phone chats. You guys are soooo lucky! And you get to go home to Cool Ca. Its still lookin a little glum here on Vancouver Island. But I think our pictures and memories will keep us going till Summer. FYI: Your new fridge needs levelling, The track lighting in the kitchen is a little wonky. I changed a couple of bulbs but I think the track connection needs some WD-40. Although we didn't play any DVDs, I couldn’t get the DVD to open and the right side of the toaster is toast. Not a problem for us but everyone needs a honey-doo list right? Everything was just as we saw it on the web... .actually, even better. It was super clean, and nice with tile everywhere. The quiet morning on the lanai were perfect with a cup of coffee, watching the ocean and the palm trees, and just relaxing. Thank you for the "extras," like the picnic bag and ice pacs, which we used everyday. Perfect location, as it is away from the street noise. We would wake up to the birds singing in the morning! We loved it, and would definitely come again!

Love the Oceanfront

Dan, We thoroughly enjoyed your unit and was nice to have the oceanfront area. The unit is done up nicely and was ideal as we had our daughter and grand daughter with us. It was the first time there for our grand daughter and our daughter was last there 18 years ago. Had a lovely time snorkeling and playing on the beaches. My wife and I had stayed in a studio unit in the other building near the road on March 2010. This was our 6th or 7th trip to Maui and always enjoy it. Would definitely recommend your unit to others and maybe use one of yours in the future. Thank you again for sharing with us !!! Tom and Joyce

We just got back from 17 days at Village by the Sea. We had stayed at Maui Sunset and Kehei Holiday and Village by the Sea had them both beat. What a wonderful place. It was always nice to come back home to our comfortable condo after a long day of adventures. The condo is very nice and has everything you need for an extended stay. So nice we actually looked at some open houses at VBS. We stayed there with our two young daughters and comfort was the rule of they day. The pool area is very nice and everyone was very friendly. The private beach was a big bonus as our girls could stay all day at the beach. The only negative was (as others have mentioned). Is the laundry is down the hall. Not a big deal and we got used to this early on. The condo is a bit dark with the flooring but not overly so. You need to close the bedroom door for bath privacy but these are all minor things and overall this is the best condo experience in our six stays on Maui. Thanks Dan!

mahalo for putting together such a nice vacation home. The decorations were so pleasant. and the tile work is just beautiful. We loved the ocean views from every room with lots of light. This was our first trip to Maui in 20 years but it won't be our last! And when we return to warm our Colorado bones we will surely return to this unit. The location is perfect for seeing all the island. See again soon!

Thanks again for the great place in kihei. It was nice having a place that is right on the ocean, with pool and sand just steps away. Your view as you wake up in the morning if of only the ocean and grounds of the complex. People were always friendly at the complex and have learned that the BBQ area is the best social spot around. Condo was clean and tidy, would suggest a second maid service if you are staying for more than 10 days Parking was primo and reserved. A rental car is a must on the island but they are cheap as chips. Room has everything you would need when you get there, there are spices in the cupboard and all the cooking gear you need. Bottom line, a great getaway location.

Dan, Thanks again for our stay at your condo on Maui. My wife, daughter and her boyfriend and I had a very enjoyable stay in your most pleasant abode after chasing the Maui sites and experiences. The location was great with almost central access to everything on the island, and we found it all! We are active travelers and did not care for the resort prisons. However, we did want a place where we could spread out, fix a meal, drop into, the hot tub and pool, grill a steak, enjoy the balcony and its magnificent ocean view. The kids even broke out the shuffle board. Sounds like a few resort activities after all. Your condo gave us all of our vacation requirements. We found the unit very comfortable and clean except that the ants in the kitchen came back. By being very fastidious and clean, they didn't pose a problem and I know you are working on it. We will be recommending you to our friends and hope to return to Maui and to stay with you again.

Second visit to this beautiful oceanfront condo!

We stayed here in March of 2009 and March of 2010. Both visits were wonderful. The view from both lanais of the condo is awesome. The sunsets are gorgeous - lots of photo ops. The Village by the Sea is very convenient in central Kihei and you are only moments away from great restuarants (Jaws Fish Tacos), grocery shopping (Safeway), beautiful beaches, golf - you name it. The condo is fully equipped, including fun stuff to use at the beach! We'll stay here again.

Hi Dan: Well... we are home safe and sound. It is back to reality in the snowy north. I just wanted to pass along to you how much we thoroughly enjoyed your condo. We did not count on being able to whale watch every morning from the deck. The other thing we did not count on was being able to swim in the ocean, which we did when we discovered that we could. Having our own quiet beach for walking or sunning afterwards was glorious. The kitchen is convenient and we enjoyed cooking up some delicious meals of locally caught fish. Thank-you to the front office staff too, who were very nice to us. I will recommend your condo to our friends and family. Janice

Perfect central Maui location with ocean view!

Spacious condo for 5 adults - with perfect central location making it easy to get around all of Maui. The ocean view provides a wonderful view of the sunsets each day. The condo kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials for preparing fabulous dinners from outside gas grills. Also items for beach adventures ie. beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas. Be be sure to check out these highlights while in Maui: - Sunrise at Haleakala ;eave condo by 4:00am! - Trilogy Excursion-Lahaina - Snorkel Sunrise Sail to Lanai. Expensive but worth it - we have done this 4 times now - every trip to Maui. - IAO Valley State Park - free and beautiful walking trail! Customer service provided by Dan and also the onsite mgmt staff in Maui was excellent. We would definitely stay at this condo again!

This unit is just as you see in the pictures. Updated, clean, spacious and comfortable. Truly feels like home away from home. It's a great plus to have access to bar-b-ques. Dealings with Dan wre always pleasant. We have vacationed in Maui with the family for years and we prefer the Kihei location rather than the touristy areas. Everything you want to do or explore is a short car ride away, so location is perfect. Ziplining at the Piiholo Ranch was new to us this trip and a total blast - loved it!!!! The America's Cup Sailing was an exciting, fun-filled adventure also. Loved dining by the ocean at The Palms. I'm sure the only complaint any of us has is that time flies by much too quickly when you are on vacation and having fun - and we all were having fun!!! Hope to return soon.

15 days in Maui

I recently stayed at this condo for one week with a few of my friends. my friends and I are all in our mid 20s and we ended up renting a car for the whole time we were there. The condo itself had everything you would need and more inside. The service was very friendly and I couldn't complain. The area that its in does not have much of a night life and I would highly recommend renting a car to get around as the buses do not run frequently. However, there is a starbucks, blockbuster, safeway and longs (about 4 strip malls) in the area within a 20-30 min walking distance. If you have a car then you are in the best location cos its not that far from any town on the island. I highly recommend this place and most likely will return.

Great ocean front end unit at Village by the Sea

Without a doubt one of the most spacious and comfortable units in the complex. The place was clean and comfortably held my wife & I, mom & dad, and our kids ages 3 & 5. Extra lanai off the master suite was really appreciated. Pool area is a great place to spend the day with the kids. Large, quiet beach in front of unit is great for long walks or just hangin out. Big grassy area right out front for kids to play. Easy access to close/convienient parking spot. Unit offered a nice kitchen and most everything one would need to feel at home without having to bring it all. Only complaint is that the laundry and barbeque areas could be really busy forcing some wait time. We plan on returning to stay here again.

We wanted to write to tell you how much we appreciate the opportunity to rent your beautiful condominium in Kihei, Maui. We were surprised at how important a central location was in our enjoyment of Maui, and your home provided a great base to work from.We saw Hana and hiked to the amazing 400 foot waterfall. This would not have been a one day excursion if we had been anywhere else on the island. That’s an incredible area and was a nice jaunt to see it.We used the snorkeling gear to go snorkeling 10 minutes away in Wailea at the 1, 2, and 3 beaches. We also snorkeled the Big Beach at ____ twice and swam with sea turtles. This is the best snorkeling we’ve ever seen and each trip in the water was its own adventure. We used the cooler you have to take lunch and drinks with us wherever we went. It was like being a local!We also went scuba diving two different days with B&B scuba. They are 4 minutes down the road and the boat ramp they leave from was less than 10 minutes away! They are a great scuba company and we appreciated their professionalism and experience. We’ll use them again if we get a chance.We made use of your Lanai (patio) every morning for breakfast, some lunches, and most dinners. The sunrises/sunsets were awesome and it was fun to watch the boats start another day on the water. What a great view you have in Kihei!! Did you know Kihei gets less rain than the other parts of the island and that this is the reason why it is sunny and warm in Kihei more than any other place? We did know this and really saw how different the climates were as we toured Maui’s activities.We enjoyed walking on the white sand beach in front of the condo. We discovered an amazing array of shells and coral pieces for exploring right at the doorstep of the ocean! We also watched stars from the beach at night and watched 11 glorious sunsets from the Lanai (patio). Wow is about all I can say.The location of the condo cannot be better! It is close to shopping and needed supplies for a great vacation. We found the rooms clean and spacious, and of course the views are spectacular!! We slept very well on the beds. We thought they were brand new with how comfortable they are. And we also really enjoyed having such new / remodeled surroundings.The pool and Jacuzzi at the complex were used multiple times by all of us (we had 6 of us staying at the complex) and we bbq’d several times at the bbqs on site. We enjoyed social time with the other reside

Aloha Dan! Just returned from our week in Maui - Thanks so much for your great condo - we had a wonderful time. I don't know what the unit looked like before, but you did a great job on the updates - I am in the furniture/interiors business, so I am picky!! It worked out really well for us even though we really weren't in it all that much! My niece (who lives there) got married in Makwawo(?) - upcountry at Seabury Hall - beautiful setting for a wedding. We managed to get in as much as we could around all the wedding events. Looking forward to coming back as soon as we can. My son and his girlfriend absolutely fell in love with Maui - snorkling and hiking as much as they could! We would definitely come back to your condo or recommend it to others. Mahalo!!
