Location! One of the best views of Lake Gaston. This beautiful house on main lake will be a place where life long memories will be made. Every room in the house overlooks the widest section of the lake. Completely renovated on 2010, new kitchen with granite counter tops, new hardwood floors, new deck, new covered patio and much more. Bring your boat, or rent one and keep it on the double boat house (one covered slip is available) with a huge top sun deck. The water at the end of the dock is 16 ft. deep. The boat house also features a stereo, refrigerator and tiki bar so that your family and friends can make the most out of the lake without having to go back to the house. There is also a sandy beach for the little ones to play on or for anyone to park their kayaks or sailboat. For those who are addicted to Facebook, you'll be happy to know that there is wireless broadband internet access available.

Thank you very much for letting us rent your wonderful home. We had a great time in the house and outside of the house. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids especially liked jumping off the tall dock - they were in the water all day everyday. The tiki bar was a hit too since we could just bring down our drinks and leave them in the fridge so we didn't have to walk up the sidewalk back to the house for anything. We hope to rent this home again next year for our week's vacation. Again thanks and it was very nice meeting you all on Saturday.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Petra & Fredy, We had a wonderful time. Your home is very tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed. The kids so enjoyed jumping off the top deck. They caught a huge fish off the dock, which made their day. The fridge and music at the dock were very convenient. We will certainly look forward to returning.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed for a 4 day weekend mid-May and it was absolutely stunning! The pictures definitely do not do this place justice! The house is beautiful, with stone countertops and updated appliances. All cookware and dishes we needed were already provided! The bedrooms were very big and spacious, and all of them had a perfect lake view with private doors outside (the house is on a hill looking down on the main lake). The place was spotless. Our favorite spot was the lake house! It had a bar, full fridge, stereo with speakers on both levels. Jumping off the boat house was the highlight of the whole trip, even more so than the boating we did! The water both warm and deep and the firepit is right beside the water, making for a perfect bonfire night with s'mores and all! There are also several nearby islands worth exploring, easily reachable by kayak (which we did). Petra and Fredy gave us everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and even more than we asked for! The welcome letter answers any and all questions and was our saving grace many times! We're a family of 4 with 2 children under the age of 8. While we only stayed overnight this time, we certainly laughed and played hard while we were there! We took the advice of the 3 words that hang above the large windows in the family room in the house: LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. That we did. This was our first visit to Lake Gaston and each of us were agog at the truly spectacular view from the house. Really, the view from this home never stops. Every time I looked out, I think I giggled in awe...even at 6:30 am when the kids woke me up hoping that we could go down to the lake again! The house is immaculate, well-taken care of with great care for the details. Everything you need - from a coffee pot to a grill - is there for your convenience. The beds are fluffy and oh-so-just right. The decor is easy on the eyes and the many windows invite the natural light right in to keep you company. There is love here that first begins with the owners. Clearly this home is a labor of love and an investment in the things that bring families and people together: taking time, being unplugged and enjoying the simple, good things about each other that you can often miss during the day-to-day frazzle of life. Our family enjoyed exploring and discovering the lake and beach area; it's something we happily did for hours. And the water isn't too cold this time of year! Afterwards, we enjoyed our evening dinner on the downstairs porch area where we sat and rocked on the rocking chairs, ate and watched the storm clouds roll in. Of course the kids tested out the big hill, which was great for rolling down! When it was clear that we were in for a storm, we moved inside and tried out the K'nect game system. There were many more things on the "to do" list, but we hope to be back soon. We are very thankful to have enjoyed our time there. In fact, we almost didn't make the trip as our family pet became ill the morning we were scheduled to leave. However, once he was settled safely in the vet's care, the owner gently encouraged us make the trip. We're so glad we did. We had a remarkable stay and certainly made some lovely memories. My husband and I took our 2 young adult children and some of their friends for the long Easter weekend to this property. We had a total of 13 people and had plenty of room with the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The layout of the house was great with 2 family rooms and an upper and lower deck with plenty of seating. The lake view is incredible, well maintained, well furnished and the owners were very easy to work with. It is very close to a marina where you can rent a boat and find all your fishing needs, as well as being conveniently located to a grocery store. The girls enjoyed jumping into the lake, while the boys tried their luck at fishing from the dock. At night, the fire pit is a very special place. We highly recommend this rental property!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
