Alaska Beach House Bed & Breakfast is situated on a bluff above a private beach for your enjoyment. . It's complete with a spacious suite, large picture windows with private balcony, entrance and bathroom.
Relax on the balcony while taking in the magnificent ocean and mountain views, or watch the 15 - 20 foot tibes ebb and flow. Watch the local fishing fleet head to their fishing grounds from Auke Bay, or the salmon coming in to spawn. The mature spruce trees surrounding the home are a favorite spot for bald eagles, observe the ocean flats below the lodge where waterfowl and bears are seen daily.,
The private entrance to your suite lets you come and go as you please. After a long day of fishing, hiking or taking in the Juneau sights enjoy cable TV on your big screen TV while you relax. Let the sound of waves and the running stream be the last you hear befor you turn in for the night.
A continental breakfast is available in your suite daily at your convenience. Several choices of oatmeal, cereal, bagels, toast, jelly, cream cheese, coffee, juice, hot cocoa are available.

If you did nothing else except sit at the window of the B&B or on the private deck, it would be worth it. There is a Salmon Creek right next to the B&B, when the salmon are running there is a flurry of activity right out your window with eagles and seagulls scooping up the returning salmon. the eagles are everywhere. There is much more to do just within walking distance, the awesome beach down below, Auke Bay, Fritz Cove Road and the really secluded and scenic walking trail around Auke Lake (might even see a bear). Lots of bike trails. The owners, Char & Jeff, & Laci their daughter, are fun and informative. the property is impeccable and just downright beautiful. Ask for the binoculars. Take time to go up to the Mendenhall Glacier (the owners' daughter took us out by kayak and we walk around the glacier, it was sooo cool!); go downtown and see the huge cruise ships right in town, there's a botanical garden worth seeing, lots of the typical shops and restaurants; there is a state of the art NOAH facility that gives tours and another salmon facility downtown, both are well worth the time to tour and learn about the whole ecosystem - it's fascinating!! - You can easily charter a fishing trip (which I recommend) or take the State Ferry up to Haines (which i recommend) if you have more time. We've been there twice and will return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This was by far the best lodging choice in Juneau. It was so quiet and secluded. The huge windows in our room looked out to ocean and mountains, world class view! Also a quick walk to the bus stop and many hiking trails. We will be back for sure.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
