Built elevated above the tropical landscape in a glorious oceanfront setting, VILLA EAST combines the finest in Caribbean style with an exquisite Balinese interior theme. This newly renovated vacation home overlooking Pineapple Beach, St. John, and the British Virgin Islands, is surrounded by spectacular ocean vistas and cooled by constant trade winds.
Stunning ocean views fill the entire living and dining area, which expand through to the bedroom to provide 180 degree views of the Caribbean sea.
Furnished with impeccable taste and style, in a mixture of imported hand-made contemporary and antique pieces, ornamentals and artwork, the villa is replete with custom design elements of innovation and functionality.
A private terrace, right on the water, provides immaculate views of the sea, along with a secluded place to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings and trade wind breezes.
VILLA EAST can accommodate up to 4 guests and includes a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, Flat screen TV with cable, iPod compatible radio, in room safe(for a small fee), pull out couch, and of course air-conditioning.
The resort is designed in such a way that the units feel extremely private and serene. The Resort is close enough to the town of Red Hook for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. By far Point Pleasant Resort is the most romantic, relaxing, and affordable vacation resort on St. Thomas. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all.
VILLA EAST, is not only in a world class resort with lots of amenities but the unit itself is set apart from many other units because it is the closest unit to the pool, as well as closest to the the waterfront restaurant and beach which prevents you from having to walk up and down the steep hills all day long. Being right on the water allows you to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the rolling waves. Dining outdoors on the private wrap around the terrace with views of St. John and the BVI is equally sublime.

My wife and I spent a near-perfect week in Alan's Point Pleasant studio. E6 was perfect for us, being so close to the lower pool and bar. We had a car for the week so the very steep paths and roads around the Point Pleasant resort were not a problem for us. The studio itself was very pleasant, clean and well equipped, with wonderful panoramic views from the veranda, were we had breakfast most mornings and evening drinks before dinner. It looks like Jack's Bight had changed hands yet again, during our stay it was 'Pangas' (I think), they were busy painting and remodelling so we only used it once. We tried several of the beaches on the island - Coki, Sugar, Bolongo, Secret Harbor, Megan's Bay - all were beautiful but our favorite was Sapphire Beach, just a short drive towards Red Hook. Pineapple Beach was deserted, unused by anyone in our stay, but they were tidying it up and word was that the old resort there had been acquired by Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville operation - which should rejuvenate the area. Our favorite restaurant was Latitude 18, down a horrendous dirt road on the far side of Red Hook marina. The food was excellent and the Saturday night entertainment hilarious fun. We took the Morning Star day sailing/snorkelling trip - great fun despite the only days' rain we had that week. Alan was very helpful, sending us a load of information before our vacation - and I can recommend Zip Rentals for a car - cheap and reliable, albeit a bit scruffy. We would definitely go back - if only there weren't so may other Caribbean islands to explore!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Nice place overlooking the water with an awesome wrap around balcony. Great place for 2 people wanting to get away from the more commercialized areas were the cruise ships port. Coki beach is walking distance with spectacular snorkling. Would come back again for sure.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My wife and I visited this unit over the New Year's for our honeymoon. When searching VRBO for a place to stay, the price and location of this unit in Point Pleasant was affordable and the location was just what we were looking for. We had previously visited St. Thomas as a stop on a cruise in 2007 and have always wanted to come back and vacation on the island. This unit is in a convenient location with quick access to the water, pool and bar. The east end of the island surrounding Point Pleasant is also much more easygoing and quiet compared to the port town of Charlotte Amalie. The nearest town is Red Hook with many good restaurants, shopping and other activities. I would recommend renting a car if you wish to explore all of St. Thomas or take the car ferry to St. John where it is even more quiet and relaxing. The taxi fares can add up quick. Alan was extremely helpful and is always available for questions. He responds in a timely manner and was invaluable. Thanks for the great time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much! We have stayed at the Point Pleasant resort twice before, but decided to try a different unit because the one we'd stayed at previously has gone up a lot in price. E6 is an incredible value and definitely worth what we paid. Alan was very helpful even before we arrived sending us lots of information on St. Thomas and St. John. He was always very prompt in answering any of our questions. The villa is minimalistic, which is perfect for us. We didn't need a separate bedroom, so the studio worked great. The view from the deck is beautiful and there are lots of iguanas and turtles to be seen. The furniture was very comfortable. It is a small space, but we never felt like it was a problem because there was only two of us. The pools here are wonderful and Sugar Beach is so fabulous even though it's small. There's a small reef straight out from the beach. We also saw two little sharks when we went further out. At the restaurant Jack's Bight there are free kayak rentals, which we would highly recommend. We would definitely recommend this unit to others, we actually told my husband's parents they should check it out already :) In the three times we've been to St. Thomas we have a few favorite activities and places to eat. We loved Jack's Bight which is right at Point Pleasant. Texas Pit BBQ in Red Hook has the best BBQ ever. We also went to Fish Tails in Red Hook for fresh seafood. The seafood was great (wahoo and lobster), but we were blown away by the deep fried banana cheesecake. We actually went back the day before we left to have it a second time. We did a little more exploring this time and found Secret Harbor Beach which was incredible for snorkeling. A definite must see! We spent a day sailing with Captain Max which was a great experience too. The island is just so beautiful and we tell everyone who's thinking of a Caribbean vacation to strongly consider St. Thomas!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Let me start by saying Alan is the greatest! I was torn between this property and another for our 10yr anniversary. I picked this one because Alan was so great at answering all of our questions, giving us all details and responding quickly to our emails. The property is just as pictured. The view is to die for! We had everything that we needed and after a quick stop at the supermarket, we were ready to enjoy our time. What I liked most about the property is it was steps away from the pool, and access tp pineapple beach and even a walkway to sugar beach. Coki beack (which was amazing, definitely do the snuba activity if you can) is within walking distance but we cabbed it because we were lazy and it was really hot :). Another favorite of mine was the resort provided a shuttle around the resort and to linquiste beach. There wasn't a thing that we didn't like about the condo, it was very relaxing. The resort itself needs a little work with the snack bar and the fact that there really is not many food options other than Jacks (which gets tiring after about the 3rd day, but their breakfast was delish) but I guess that's why you have a kitchen and all the utensils :) We had a great time and very happy with that we were able to spend it at this condo. You won't be disappointed if you book with Alan!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The property at Point Pleasant Resort was exactly like the pictures posted. The views were awesone and so was the sunrise. Alan was so easy to work with. He sent us a lot of information. We made a trip to St. John and went to Drakes Seat and saw Megans Bay. We ate at the Carribean Fish Market located at the Elysian Beach Resort three times. The food was outstanding. They have a wonderful Sunday Brunch. Would recommend staying there again. Thanks Alan!!Recommended for: Sightseeing.

Village East has excellent views and is a great value. We hope to rent from them again next year. The studio condo was adequately equipped, clean and the staff at the resort were friendly. There is a queen size bed and a hide-a-bed couch. The resort is clean but a little dated. Besides the condo and the views the smaller beach, sugar beach was our favorite part of our stay at the resort. You can borrow snorkel equipment from the resort and see quite a few fish and even turtles from Sugar Beach. Just ask the guys you borrow the equipment from where to go, they also run the Morning Star sailboat charters. You can call the front desk and they will run you out to the road where you can get on a safari bus (public transportation $1 per person). The open air buses will take you to Red Hook $1, Tuttu $1, and downtown Charlotte Amalie for $2. We preferred Red Hook. If you just want to go to the coffee shop Picasso's the resort will drive you there. Have a great time, we did. Again it is not 5 star but a great value.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We would whole heartedly recommend Villa East to you! The pictures on the site show the unit beautifully. Alan was very helpful prior to the trip and responded quickly while in St. Thomas. The kitchen was great saving us cash by making our own meals. We loved hanging out on the wrap around deck watching the sail boats go out, the sea turtles swimming in the bay, not to mention the large iguanas sunbathing on the branches nearby. This was a very quiet & tranquil resort. We will stay here next time and there will be a next time! This unit felt secluded because of all the foliage and was the closest to Jack’s Bight Restaurant on the water. Jack’s is known for its wings, but to tell the truth we never tried them. We were too busy eating the mussels and the fresh fish prepared by our personal chef Todd. Be sure to use the beach and swanky facilities at the Sugar Bay Resort next door (without spending the bucks to stay there). We snorkeled a little in the bay, but St. John has the best snorkeling. We rented our car from Zip Rentals. The roads are pretty steep, not for the faint at heart, but that didn’t stop us. We tried to get to as many of the bays and beaches on both islands that we could, staying away from the main tourists’ spots (especially the main town of Charlotte A - yuck - too crowded!) We enjoyed the beach at Hull Bay on the Northwest side. Trunk Bay is really beautiful and great for snorkeling; get there early, there is limited parking. We heard Waterlemon Cay is the best place to snorkel, but you have to hike in about a mile to get there. If you have time, be sure to travel to Miss Lucy’s Restaurant on the East side of St. John; It’s only a fifteen minute drive, but very hilly (just like St. Thomas). Next time we will rent a zodiac from Noah’s Little Arks that Hawaiian Mike told us about on St. John to really see the beaches. We spent one of our days on the Morning Star sailing to Honeymoon Beach - fabulous! This is the best way to travel around the islands - you have to get out on the water! We sailed with some wonderful folks from Finland. Captain Dave and Josh treated us very well. The lunch was excellent. We would definitely do this again! We took the ferry to Virgin Gorda in the British VI and went to the Baths. Josh from the Morning Star told us about this beautiful spot. It was amazing! Huge boulders made caves that you could walk and climb through that opened up to beautiful beaches. The ferry only runs twice a week to this spot from St.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We just got back from Villa East and the property was everything the owner stated and more! The location was great - we walked to Coki Beach and Sugar Beach. It was an easy ride to Red Hook and we found quick ways to get to downtown and the airport. The pictures of the condo are exactly what you get and the best part of the place was the wrap-around balcony. We had a great view of Water Bay and St. Johns. We contacted Alan before the trip several times and he was very helpful. He was very easy to work with in booking the property and providing information about the area and the island. There is a new restaurant at the resort - Jack's Bight. It serves good food, and great wings! They have live entertainment and the staff is pleasant. We also ate in Red Hook at Duffy's Love Shack and Fish Tails. The grocery stores are in close range and are fairly reasonable for an island. We loved our trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be away from the cruise ship traffic and near beautiful beaches. Sapphire Beach and Sugar Bay are great beaches too. Don't forget to get a smoothie on Coki Beach from Donovan!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Villa East recently and had a great time.We have been to St. Thomas many times and always prefer the east end. There are many restaurants, casual and upscale with great food, the beaches are beautiful and many to pick from.Point Pleasent is centrally located to both. Also the dock to St. Johns is a quick car ride .Point Pleasent is a pretty, natural environment with 3 pools and has a small bar restaurant called Jack's.Alan offers his studio at a great price, it is furnished very nicely with full windows on every side facing the water.Alan was very attentive and quick to respond with any questions. Thanks again Alan!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: We have been traveling down to the USVI for the last 10 years and finally decided to own! Villa East is my personal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We bought the Villa about after we discovered what a wonderful place Point Pleasant Resort really is. I have lots of recommendations. It would be my pleasure to help you plan your vacation so please do not hesitate to ask!
Why the Owner Chose Point Pleasant:
The resort is designed in such a way that the units feel extremely private and serene. The Resort is close enough to the town of Red Hook for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. By far Point Pleasant Resort is the most romantic, relaxing, and affordable vacation resort on St. Thomas. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all. Also with 3 pools, a famous waterfront restaurant, direct beach access to 2 beaches, watersport activities center, and a nature trail, there is no shortage of things to do!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
VILLA EAST, is not only in a world class resort with lots of amenities but the unit itself is set apart from many other units because it is the closest unit to the pool, as well as closest to the the waterfront restaurant and beach which prevents you from having to walk up and down the steep hills all day long. Being right on the water allows you to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the rolling waves. Dining outdoors on the private wrap around the terrace with views of St. John and the BVI is equally sublime.
